The VisionSonic festival is an initiative of the Pixels Transversaux, the label V-Atak and the center Madeleine Rebérioux with the participation of the Cube and the support of the DICREAM, the Local Union of the MJC, the city of Créteil and the Ministry of Culture (MCC and DDAI) and the Caisse des Dépôts et des Consignations.

Tetsu Kondo is a Japanese artist, a musician and a researcher. His art extends of the drawing in the development of software, by way of the installation and the original creation of musical instruments so acoustic as digital. He obtained a diploma in New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) and became resident a researcher. He executed and presented his works of art internationally, in 2005 to Musicacoustica in the Chinese center of Electronic Music of Beijing (China) to the File festival 2009 Hipersonica to Sao Paulo ( Brazil), Eyebeam in New York (USA), CENART Centro Multimedia in Mexico City (Mexico) and to the Inter Communication Center ( ICC) in Tokyo.

"[...] Ce qui me fascine le plus, c’est le côté expérienciel de la chose. Le site recréé virtuellement l’expérience concrète. On tape l’adresse et on s’installe devant le film, chez soi, dans l’intimité de notre demeure. Préencodage ou simple publicité, il n’en reste pas moins que cette télé a pratiquement déjà le pied dans la porte les pixels dans la pièce.

Une des fonctions du site nous donne le choix entre avec ambilight ou sans ambilight. Je trouve cela intéressant, car contrairement à d’habitude, où les options qui permettent de couper le son ou de passer une animation ont été placées pour éviter le mécontentement du visiteur, c’est ici dans un tout autre but: convaincre que le film gagne en intensité. Il suffit de couper l’effet ambilight pour s’en rendre compte.

[EN] Lagunas - a narrative & interactive installation by Laura Colmenares Guerra
A triptych exploring the themes of memory, death and water through an interactive scenario evoking the drastic impact of human actions on nature. After The invisible landscape, Lagunas is the second exhibition of our series OUTPUT, in which we present the results of a project that has been developed during a residency at iMAL.

Een drieluik rond de thema's herinnering, dood en water door middel van een interactief scenario, dat de drastische impact op de natuur van het menselijk handelen weergeeft. Lagunas is, na The invisible landscape, de tweede tentoonstelling in de reeks OUTPUT, waarin we de resultaten tonen van projecten die werden ontwikkeld tijdens een residentie in iMAL.

•Description: Conglomerate sarcophagus of Nectanebo II (Nakhthorheb), later re-used as a ritual bath in the Attarin Mosque in the former Church of St. Athanasius, twelve 'plug-holes' for this purpose have been drilled near the base: interior—decorated with figures of funerary deities, now effaced by water erosion, including the Sons of Horus and Anubis, with figures of Isis and Nephthys at the head and foot; exterior—with incised hieroglyphic texts derived from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 8th, and 9th sections of the Amduat, elaborated with representations of Ra and Osiris and other attendant deities.

Seconde-Nature est une oeuvre pérenne qui mêle réel et virtuel. Cette oeuvre est constituée d’une sculpture de 18 m de haut, rappelant la forme d’un coquillage. A partir de cette sculpture, signe fort dans l’espace urbain, sera projeté chaque soir sur une partie de la façade des docks, un nouveau jardin virtuel génératif et interactif monumental, qui s’inspirent de la flore méditerranéenne (cactées, plantes grasses, palmiers…).

ENGLISH:
Seconde-Nature is a perennial work that mingles real and virtual. This work is constituted of a sculpture of 18 m high, recalling the shape of a ‘shellfish’. From this sculpture, a strong symbol in the urban space, a new monumental generative and interactive virtual garden, that is inspired by the Mediterranean flora (cactus type plants, palms…) will be projected every evening on a part of the facade of the docks.
