Sixth month of the "365 Days of RX1: one camera, one lens, 12 projects". Sixth theme: "I'm Batman".
It doesn't mean that I AM Batman, even if today I am. It means more like anyone could be, or even just feel like him. While looking at these shots, try to imagine the subject portrayed, usually at his job or while performing daily duties, saying "I'm Batman" with the same husky, dark, intense, testosteronic voice of Christian Bale www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4qgTk8Vfyc (even if the one of Jim Parson would be probably more adequate… www.youtube.com/watch?v=diQHV_ZFyqY).
Nothing too serious this month, actually the opposite. I'll ask random people (and a few friends) to wear the mask while on duty and pose for a portrait. At the end we'll have thirty-one different Batmans, each doing a different job in the city. Cause nobody knows the masks we wear inside. Anyone could be the Batman, literally.
So here is the first shot of the theme: the wedding-photographer Batman in the elevator on his way to work.

David is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture created between 1501 and 1504, by the Italian artist Michelangelo. It is a 5.17 metre (17 foot) marble statue of a standing male nude. The statue represents the Biblical hero David, a favoured subject in the art of Florence. Originally commissioned as one of a series of statues of prophets to be positioned along the roofline of the east end of Florence Cathedral, the statue was instead placed in a public square, outside the Palazzo della Signoria, the seat of civic government in Florence, where it was unveiled on 8 September 1504. Because of the nature of the hero that it represented, it soon came to symbolize the defense of civil liberties embodied in the Florentine Republic, an independent city-state threatened on all sides by more powerful rival states and by the hegemony of the Medici family. The eyes of David, with a warning glare, were turned towards Rome. The statue was moved to the Accademia Gallery in Florence in 1873, and later replaced at the original location by a replica.

The Papal Basilica of Saint Peter (Latin: Basilica Sancti Petri), officially known in Italian as the Basilica Papale di San Pietro in Vaticano and commonly known as St. Peter's Basilica, is a Late Renaissance church located within the Vatican City. St. Peter's Basilica has the largest interior of any Christian church in the world, holding 60,000 people. It is regarded as one of the holiest Catholic sites. It has been described as "holding a unique position in the Christian world" and as "the greatest of all churches of Christendom".
In Catholic tradition, the basilica is the burial site of its namesake Saint Peter, who was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and, according to tradition, first Bishop of Rome and therefore first in the line of the papal succession. Tradition and some historical evidence hold that Saint Peter's tomb is directly below the altar of the basilica. For this reason, many Popes have been interred at St Peter's since the Early Christian period. There has been a church on this site since the 4th century. Construction of the present basilica, over the old Constantinian basilica, began on April 18, 1506 and was completed on November 18, 1626.
St. Peter's is famous as a place of pilgrimage, for its liturgical functions and for its historical associations. It is associated with the papacy, with the Counter-reformation and with numerous artists, most significantly Michelangelo. As a work of architecture, it is regarded as the greatest building of its age. Contrary to popular misconception, Saint Peter's is not a cathedral, as it is not the seat of a bishop. It is properly termed a papal basilica. The Basilica of St. John Lateran is the cathedral church of Rome.

This was for a man who loves to make his own wine. I have been told that it was a total hit at the party and no one could believe that it was a cake. It was two tiers of fruit cake and the base tier was a foam dummy.
Kittens and their nails. Kauhu (Horror) was also born with nails and kittens are for long unable to hide them. That's why the nails are always on the way and poking on wrong places like inside sister's nostril, mouth or eye
Asparagus with melted butter, parsley and hardboiled egg. A simple dish like this can be very fancy.
Once inside the forgotten and hidden away Abbey, Rob found a picture in the piles of debris. Sshhhh... remarked that he bore an uncanny resemblance to Robin Williams, so atop the bike he went , once more the wind could rush through his hair as he embarked upon one more paper round haha.
Taken with a vintage Golitz Meyer Optik 50mm with m42 to EOS mount. I find these old 60's lens' are perfect for taking pictures of vintage things.

Akershus Fortress is a medieval castle that was built to protect Oslo.
The castle dates from around 1290, The fortress has successfully survived all sieges.
Akershus has also been a prison, a section of it known as The Slavery (Norwegian: Slaveriet) as the prisoners could be rented out for work in the city.
Akershus fortress is still a military area, but is open to the public. It is free to wander around the extensive grounds. we also paid to go inside the castle buildings. There where many interesting things to see.
One of the surprises was that Norwegian Royalty have been buried in the Royal Mausoleum in the castle. They include King Sigurd I, King Haakon V, Queen Eufemia, King Haakon VII, Queen Maud, King Olav V and Crown Princess Märtha.

Billy Record

Some funny birthday quotes:
Age is a number and mine is unlisted.
Inside every older person is a younger person – wondering what the hell happened!
A diplomat is a man who always remembers a woman’s birthday but never remembers her age.
Men are like wine: some turn to vinegar, but the best improve with age.
Few women admit their age. Few men act theirs.
