It's all about keys, right? You allow people into your life by giving them keys, by letting them open doors and filling the spaces inside of you. You give away keys and you can't take them back, because even if the person chooses to leave the room and close the door, the proof of their presence will always be there, bringing you pain, or relief.
I'm not one to give those many keys away. I'm not an easy person and I have a lot of experience with people not liking me, or not being able to tolerate my constant mood swings and bitchiness. So I don't give away my keys. Whoever wants them will always have to earn them, and I will always be unsure of whether they truly like me or not. Because that's who I am. I don't give away my keys.
Apparently this is where I belong. it seems the domain of the little woman at home is the kitchen. I have been told that is why us girls have small feet! so as we can get closer to the kitchen sink!
Funny I thought we had small feet so as our partners couldn't wear our shoes!!!

I was quite disappointed at how bright these two photos from Embankment station came out, especially considering how dark and gloomy it was down there. I've also spent far too long staring at this photo, trying to decide if it was ruined by being slightly wonky, and I really don't know. I may well head back there to take another version of it at some point.
It may last a lifetime or a simple second. Human connections, touching eyes, getting behind the invisible curtain and peeking the life, the mind, the soul of others. And click, and hope somehow you brought a good souvenir that you can show later. Is the postcard's beauty ever comparable to the real sight? I can only hope it is close... And then I'm off, to the next journey.

Image is a terrible issue in modern-day life. We see these pictures in magazines, of people who aren't even real? We want to acquire traits of people who aren't even real? The model in Cosmopolitan who has the perfect lips, or the model in Vogue who has perfect eye colour. Why can't we just be satisfied with the body that God has given to us? He makes no mistakes, therefore you are perfect in your own way. Instead of wanting things that are inachievable, why not be greatful for what you do have?
Yes, you may not be as tall as you would wish to be, but girl, look at your smile. That smile will stop traffic on a highway!
Yes, you may not be as smart as your parents want you to be, but girl, you have a heart of gold. Worth more than any amount of money in the world!
Yes, you may not be as skinny as the photoshopped/manipulated images of models in the magazines you read, but girl, you are perfect in your own way.
And nobody can tell you otherwise.
As long as you're beautiful on the inside, that's all that matters. As my screen name says; "beauty is skin deep". If you can't be beautiful on the inside, don't even bother with your physical appearance.
Materialistic appearances do not make you beautiful. Some girls believe they need to pack on make-up, or spend heaps of money on expensive clothes in order to be secure about themselves. My ex-best friend wanted so badly to look beautiful on the outside, but what she didn't realise was that she was beautiful on the inside and everyone could see that, expect her.
So girls, all of you amazing and beautiful girls that I have tagged, you are ALL beautiful in your own way. Every single one of you! Even if I haven't tagged you and you're just reading this, don't underestimate your beauty. Don't compare yourself to anyone else, because they have their own unique beauty that doesn't compare to yours. You are all amazing, don't ever doubt that.
I wasn't pleased with the result of this photo, but I'm overdue on posting a photo, so yeah I settled with this one.

I had some time during the day while at NASA to visit the Kennedy Space Center. Inside was the insanely huge Saturn V rocket. It's one of those things that would hurt like hell if you dropped it on your toe.
The shuttle only has one more launch before it is forever mothballed, like this... The final launch of the Atlantis is on July 8, the first day of my 40th revolution around the sun. That's kinda cool I think...

羞~趕快來交作業了~(掩面)先祝大家新年快樂~!
在主角理頭觀賞煙火是一次奇特的經驗，但也是很阿Q的想法(ㄚ，其實就是蠢啦~)，施放的時候，煙火根本就是照明彈，明亮的比熱戀的情侶還要閃亮(汗)，曝光這檔子事情就只能笑笑就過了~XD
再來每發煙火的後作威力也十足，感覺就像在砲管裡面看打仗一樣~地板窗戶都跟著震動了起來，所以防震這檔子事情也可以笑笑就過了~XD
但，從廣場迎面而來，齊聲一起迎接新一年度的震撼與悸動，看到那整條馬路上佈滿了手機搖動的光點，聽到隨著煙花的變化一陣又一陣的驚嘆，還是難以言喻的感動ㄚ~
再次祝大家2014年新年快樂~大作連連!

Five shots inside the arch to give a little bit of the feel of what it's like being in there, it's a massive arch.
The view from here is (probably!) my second favorite of all in Arches National Park, right behind that one from the Salt Valley Overlook.

These are from a trip we made during School Break last October & November.
Yeah she is back................OK I never really went anywhere just changed my hair style and colour a few times and it seems the brunette was a big hit. I think the outfit helped a little.
I must say it was strange going back to my old self tonight but I am pleased with the results.
This dress I saw in Dorothy Perkins back in the early summer. They also did a nice powder blue version that would have worked well for my Alice in wonderland thing I want to do. Anyway when I saw these dresses I rather liked them but at 25 pounds I thought they were a little over priced and I was being a bit tight with my money at the time. As luck would have it I spied this one in the sales for a tenner last Friday. So good things do come to those who wait :-)

I shot this on a tripod. The apples were placed on plexiglass to give the reflection. I used a Vivitar flash at full power to light the background. I triggered the background flash with my 430 EX II mounted on the camera pointed into a reflector that bounced the light back onto the apples. To the left of the apples was a north facing window that provided ambient light. I processed the raw file in Photoshop CS4 Extended.

Just used 9 different squares to create my 9 nine patches. Finished blocks are about 3 1/2"
For the border, I cut more charm squares in 1 1/4" strips, sewed those strips together, then cut my border strips from that.
We were well away from Los Angeles by the time the bombs started to fall. Zac and I made it to highway, broke into a car and drove off before we even saw the sun rise. Neither of us looked back as we left the city, not stopping until we were far enough away from the blast radius. After about a couple hours of non-stop driving, we made it to the California/Arizona border. As we drove further, we reached a small little gas station in the middle of nowhere, and, to my surprise, stopped and parked the car a short walk away from it. "Why are we stopping?" I asked. "Can't we just drive all the way to the station?"
"We can't risk drawing the attention of any zombies without knowing what we're up against. We'll make sure that the area is safe first and then bring the car up."
In agreeance, we started to head over to the station on foot. As we drew nearer, I realized that Zac was righteously cautious: zombies were crawling all over the lot.
"I'll take the inside," Zac whispered. "You clear the front." I nodded my head, and we continued on. Zac entered the building from the back, and I distracted the others in the front with my assault rifle. Within minutes, we had cleared the whole area. Just as I put a bullet in the last zombie's forehead, Zac yelled from inside, "Hey Brett, you might want to see this..."
