EDIT~~~ This has gotten over 10, 000 views, and i wanted to bump it up and say thanks for all the comments and the views, and lets hope out of the almost 11,000 views, at least one person got some useful helpful information and maybe just maybe iot helped save someone.
I wanted these to be seen, especially this one. I didn't get any further than here with them, but almost 11,000 views is pretty good i think.
So yeah, again, thanks!
Now back to your regularly scheduled programing. I figured it was ok to bump this in front of today's 365 shot because it sucks so bad. LOL!
*** please please read the statistics i included. They are heart breaking, scary, and have me in tears right now......
Today's disorder is a very broad termed one. I am trying to go alphabetically an the only thing other than "eating disorder" that began with "e" involved feces and urine, so i stayed away from those.
Plus i think eating disorders are a serious serious issue that should be made aware.
Let me touch on the actual picture for a moment. i am well aware that my body looks totally deformed and ab normal... i did that with the intention of portraying how people with eating disorders usually view themselves. A deformed and distorted view of reality.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An eating disorder is characterized by abnormal eating habits that may involve either insufficient or excessive food intake to the detriment of an individuals physical and emotional health. The causes of eating disorders are complex and not yet fully understood. Eating disorders are estimated to affect 5-10 million females and 1 million males in the United States.[1] Although not yet classified as separate disorder, binge eating disorder[2] is the most common eating disorder in the United States affecting 3.5% of females and 2% of males according to a study by Harvard affiliated McLean Hospital. Bulimia nervosa was the second most common followed by Anorexia nervosa.[3]
In her place one hundred candles burning
as salty sweat drips from her breast
her hips move and I can feel what they're saying, swaying
They say the beast inside of me's gonna get ya, get ya,get...
Black lipstick stains her class of red wine
I am your servant, may I light your cigarette?
Those lips smooth, yeah I can feel what you're saying, praying
They say the beast inside of me's gonna get ya, get ya, get...
I beg to serve, your wish is my law
Now close those eyes and let me love you to death
Shall I prove I mean what i'm saying, begging
I say the beast inside of me's gonna get ya, get ya, get..
Let me love you too
Let me love you to death
Hey am I good enough for you?
Hey am i good enough for you?
Am I?
Am I?
Am I good enough
for you?
Quantas vezes nós paramos de sonhar apenas pelo medo da repreensão? Quantas vezes deixamos, simplesmente, de viver por causa das opiniões alheias? Quantas vezes vivemos em um mundo que não queremos viver? Letras, sílabas, palavras, frases, parágrafos, livros! Ai, livros... Nele conseguimos ser o que quisermos, viver onde quisermos, imaginar fora do limite. Não existe limite para imaginação, apenas um novo mundo; um mundo completamente nosso, um mundo completamente seu, tudo isso na palma da sua mão. Desfrute-o, divirta-se, viva.
On our second day of touring ruins, we got up early and headed to the Moon House, so named for a painting of a moon inside one of its rooms. While not the most picturesque ruin on the Cedar Mesa, it has a coolness factor that makes it popular. In addition to the preserved paintings, there is a fortress-like wall in front of the living space. Because of its popularity, there is a limit of 20 visitors per day, and you must obtain a permit from the BLM to explore Moon House. We were fortunate to be one of the first two groups there for the day, and had plenty of solitude to explore this and other nearby ruins.
Here, we are looking down the hall between the dwelling rooms on the left and the fortress wall on the right. Note the painted details on the wall above the doorway (left), the smoke-stained ceiling, and the voids at the top of the wall which appear to let light in and smoke out. FYI the moon room is the first of the 3 similar openings on the left, just left of center in the photo. Entry into the dwelling rooms is not permitted, but you can poke your head in and have a look.
In several visits to Monument Valley, I've never thought to take a look at what these hogans look like on the inside until this visit. Really cool looking interior. It's a traditional Navajo structure built of logs covered with mud.
Shot this with the 15mm fisheye.
So this is an escalator hall in the Metro stop of Cais do Sodre, take the exit for the trams and buses and you will end up having to come up through this place and you cannot go wrong really, this was shot after a minute or so of casually leaning against the wall and waiting for a nice grouping of people to interplay with the frame I'd chosen. These huge grates up above provided this wondrous projection and the strong light made it a perfect silhouette style graphic street subject, The sun inside felt apt as a title
The last time I visited Tsukiji Fish Market was back in the Winter of 2006, and I remember I had just got my 50/1.4 lens, using it on a 30D body, running around snapping everything I saw. This time it was with a Rollei and more of a relaxed stroll through the narrow paths, trying to avoid the electric karts, observing the people who work there and trying to capture a few portraits. Surprisingly, most were so accomodating and probably more curious about the Rollei in my hand as I was about the giant tunas. This fellow kindly posed for a photo as his boss glimpsed the Rollei and told him to get on with his work :)
@Tsukiji Fish Market, Tokyo (the day I got out of bed at 5am - a rare thing - and had fresh, raw samon and tuna for lunch - another rare thing).
ARGANZUELA FOOTBRIDGE
by
DOMINIQUE PERRAULT
Designed to link the neighbourhoods on the right and left banks of the river, the Arganzuela Footbridge will be the longest of all the bridges to be built. The bridge will be for both pedestrians and cyclists. The footbridge enables people to cross from one side of the park to the other while also providing direct access to the park below. Cone like in structure, the bridge has two interlocking metal spirals, wrapped by a metallic ribbon. Spaced wooden slats make up the floor of the bridge, allowing the rays of the sun to penetrate through to the park below. The cones' geographic location creates a belvedere over the park and the surrounding city as well as an exceptional location from which it will be possible to admire the famous Toledo Bridge. Shaded during the day, the promenade becomes luminous at night.
Let us bow our heads and pray...to the Almighty Inventor of the iPhone and other mobile communication devices.
This is the first of two photos which I have posted tonight. I saw these monks a few days ago when I visited the Victorian National Gallery. They were sitting next to the most amazing and serene exhibit - a large pool of water filled with white china bowls of varying sizes (see photograph 2). A current slowly moved the bowls around and they made a beautiful clanging noise as they gently bumped into each other. It was so soothing and relaxing, the sort of thing you might think that Monks would be into. Anyway, when I glanced in their direction, I noticed that they were not paying the slightest bit of notice to this wonderful scene in front of them but were all entirely engrossed in whatever they were doing on their phones. It seemed like such a strange juxtaposition that I couldn't whip my own iPhone out fast enough to capture this moment.
So the reason I posted the second photo is because I wanted you to see the blue pool with the white bowls. It really was lovely and I think the second photo shows this juxtaposition better but I wasn't able to use my iPhone to take it. I had to move to the other side of the large pool to get it all in and unfortunately my iPhone does not do inside and distance very well.
