For this week's Macro Mondays group theme, In a Bottle. The tiny glass bottle is less than ¾" high. The flowers, for once, are from my own garden.
When you get sucker punched by the school of hard knocks you either have to take the lickin' and suck it up... or bite back.

Number 1 Lime Street, or commonly known as The Lioyds Building, in the heart of The City of London's insurance district.
"The Inside Out Building", as some call this grade 1 listed fine piece of architecture, was the first modern structure to be constructed within this part of the city, completed in 1986, and was certainly something we'd not seen the like of before in London, although not alone any longer, as this area still undergoes massive regeneration, and the latest addition stands opposite…The Leadenhall Building, completed in 2014.

Halloween Challenge - October / November 2020
Yesterday I got busted by hubby! Seems that if I add up every Paypal transaction since October 1 ...the number is staggering!!! Today I started my dolly diet by avoiding a dolly meet where I knew I would spend a bag full of $$$. I stayed home and tidied up my dolly room and put together a second glass display cabinet. I have one more beautiful girl adopted from Maasje that will be joining the family as soon as she is paid for and two girls on a commission list. That is it for 2011!!!
Anyone else in a similar predicament?!?! Hurry up 2012!!!
During this past winter, when the days were colder or too lazy to venture out, I carried out a lot of experimental shots with stuff I found around the house.. and in that process, I learnt more about exposure, depth of field and so on..
This is one of those experimental shots, the idea was suggested by my wife. Out of the many shots I took, I liked this one the most. Since I don't have any white artificial backgrounds, I used what was naturally available.. lots of snow on the deck!!!! Placed the fruits on a sheet of printer paper, sprinkled some water on it and that's about it.. Lighting: again, whatever was available, cloudy sky and whatever light reflected off the snow..
As I mentioned earlier, this is just some experimentation. However, I would like to learn tricks and techniques on making better images like this. If you have any suggestions, please pass it on either in your comments or by flickr mail..

meravigliosa e delirante esistenza....la Luna è lì,e ci rimarrà più a lungo di tutte le nostre storie di uomini.....prima o poi riusciremo ad arrivarci...Lo so!!!!!

Soto de Ranillas
El Soto de Ranillas es un bosque de rivera que bordea el meandro de Ranillas y rodea en parte al Parque del Agua Luis Buñuel. Supone un entorno con un alto valor medioambiental y un buen estado de conservación pese a la cercanía de la ciudad.
El soto presenta la vegetación típica de este tipo de bosques. Entre otras plantas es posible encontrar chopos, fresnos, álamos, sauces, zarzas y tamarices. Debido a las crecidas estacionales del río Ebro en ocasiones el soto llega a inundarse de agua. Lejos de ser un problema esto aporta nutrientes que enriquecen el terreno volviéndolo más fértil.

As for what it is, it's just the inside of a plastic bottle. The afternoon heat created vapors, and the evening cold condensed the water into these beautiful beads. human and nature creating a beautiful image

Stained glass from the Baltic Exchange building, which was severely damaged by a terrorist bomb on 10th April 1992. The glass was originally unveiled in 1922. John Dudley Forsyth was commissioned to design the series of stained glass windows shortly after the First World War. The windows formed part of a memorial to the 60 members of the exchange who lost their lives. The memorial consists of a half-dome and five large windows which in the original building were below the dome. They were installed over a staircase to the lower floor. The glass was painted and stained by skilled glass painters following Forsyth's design. These were then fired and assembled into windows, where they were held together by a network of lead strips. the windows were made by Lowdes & Drury, Fulham.

Stockholm Public Library (Swedish: Stockholms stadsbibliotek or Stadsbiblioteket) is a library building in Stockholm, Sweden, designed by Swedish architect Gunnar Asplund, and one of the city's most notable structures. The name is today used for both the main library itself as well as the municipal library system of Stockholm.
Today i had an opportunity to see a normally off limit part of a windmill, the top of it.. The light conditions were a litle difficult. The windmill is located in Oud Zuilen, Utrecht, The Netherlands. 3 Shots merged to HDR.

The beginnings of my cranberry-apple casserole...... that I am asked ,politely, to make for all our holiday meals. :0)
Recipe: CRANBERRY-APPLE CASSEROLE
2-3 large cubed Granny Smith apples
1 bag (12 oz.) of cranberries
Add the two into a large mixing bowl and add....
lemon juice sprinkled over the mixture and
one cup of sugar, mix thoroughly, then place in a greased casserole dish.
In a small mixing bowl...add
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of quick oats (not instant) and
1-2 sticks of melted butter
Mix well and spread over the cranberry/apple mixture. Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes.
This is wonderful served as a side with turkey and dressing or served as a dessert. If you try it....let me know how it turned out and if you enjoyed it. :0)
