Every year my mom makes an amazing birthday cake, and this year she made a Star Wars themed cake! The Star Wars logo and Imperial Stormtrooper helmet were made out of fondant!

Please join me people in praying for my friend Usman Ali (Quadvision : Bokeh Dreaming)'s mother. She is not well and had a slight case of paralysis due to high BP and had to be admitted to Hospital immediately, But thankfully she is better now Alhumdulilah and Docs say she can recover 100% and will be discharged from hospital in a day or two.

So please join me and pray for his mom. May Allah grant his mom perfect health and happiness and May Allah give his family patience for this stage of suffering. Ameen :)

these were the essentials I brought.

Here's one from a few months back, during a visit to Mesa Verde National Park. This was shot from inside a Kiva, with a roof. It's an underground, round room, with a wood roof. There's a hole in the ceiling with a ladder to get down. There are thousands of Kivas in the southwest, but this is the only one I have seen where they have actually reconstructed a roof. I kicked up some dust to light up the lightbeam.

So, A. has been more and more into picking out her own outfits. I told her yesterday she could wear *anything* she wanted. She ran down the hall with screams of delight. Ten minutes later she comes back in jammies, green argyle socks, pink converse, pink jacket, baby sunglasses (from when she was 6 months old) and a headband and purse of mine. Inside the purse is her camera, snacks, doll, trucks, a large rubber ball, lip gloss, markers, and more. :) So funny ... and she was so dang proud. And, yes, we went out in public like that. LOL! She giggled wherever we went saying, "Mommy, do you think they know I'm just wearing jammies??" It's just a quick snapshot, but special to me. :)
