Worked on something a bit different today. P:

A friend of mine told me she could never find any tentacle hair in SL and came to me to see if I was up to making one. I've never made hair before. Modded a few, but never made one from scratch. So here's what I got so far...

Its not textured yet. I just popped it into ZBrush to make it look pretty for now. :3

I hope rigging this won't be a pain... I HATE RIGGING D;

Inside Levity II, a Luminarium by Architects of Air. The colours and tones are all produced by natural light filtered through the inflatable shell of the building. Inside, the tunnels, pillars and cavities seem alien and organic.

Architects of Air bring a Luminarium to Nottingham University's Lakeside area early each June. Always worth a visit!

Grand Hyatt hotel's atrium, looking down from the Skywalk on the 88th floor. The building's anchor tenant is the five-star 555-room Grand Hyatt Shanghai hotel which occupies floors 53 to 87. It was designed by the Chicago firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM).

The Hyatt's famous barrel-vaulted atrium starts at the 56th floor and extends upwards to the 87th. Lined with 28 annular corridors and staircases arrayed in a spiral, it is 27 m (89 ft) in diameter with a clear height of approximately 115 m (377 ft). It is one of the tallest atria in the world.

I went by this building several times before I even thought about going in. For some reason, it never occurred to me that I might actually be able to go inside and take photos! Of course, I really wanted to go inside, so I was happy when Curtis told me that it’s no problem to get in there.

Next time, I think I’d like to go on a private tour and get some special angles and whatnot. I did get in trouble for using my tripod, but not bad trouble. Just a little trouble. A little trouble ain’t so bad…

So thankful today for that extra hour of sleep after setting the clocks back for daylight savings time. Sleep is a basic necessity but so many of us, including myself, never feel like we get enough. I am a night owl, so this extra hour in the morning was a sweet gift.

5) Things really arent great with my boyfriend. I don't know if i'm holding for the sake of it or not.

6) I'm scared of losing him, because I find it so hard getting people in my life, its really hard letting them go.

7) I wish he would treat me how I deserve to be treated.

8) I need to talk with him, but not now. Probably come christmas holidays.

Those Poor Unfortunate Souls.

So I decided that I would make this week's "30 Songs in 30 days" submissions all based around Disney songs. This one, clearly, is based on The Little Mermaid. I realize that Ursula is in fact a female octopus but for today, you must overlook that detail, lol.

Little Mermaid was the first movie I saw in theatres (I was 4) and I remember watching it and being so freaked out at the end when Ursula comes out of the water and there's the big fight between her and the king. Scuttle was probably one of my favourite disney characters after seeing that movie too, he reminds me a lot of myself. Curious, a bit clumsy, and always on the look out for a cool thing to collect and share.

Stumbled upon in London today whilst shopping... In the Heals store an exquisite spiral staircase was built at the back of the building, taking customers up to the new Mansard Gallery on the fourth floor. Known as The Brewer Staircase, this beautiful structure is still a big draw for visitors, and the subject of blog-posts from architecture enthusiasts who rave about its graceful sweep and honey-coloured wood.
