Zoom Zoom is 3 (2012) years old now and he weighs about 11 pounds. He was about 6 months old when this was taken. He is a real joy to have.

Ash Cave is one of the popular spots at Hocking Hills State Park in OH.
I thought a wide angle from inside the cave looking out gave a pretty cool perspective.

I got booster jabs for yellow fever, hep A, typhoid, diphtheria, polio and tetanus (for my trip next month). It hurts to lift either of my arms :( but I think I'll play the sympathy card round the house for a while ;)

Met a friend down in Pennsylvania yesterday. We ended up inside this castle called the Mercer Museum. The stuff in here was ancient! The museum was six floors high and very, very dark inside. I found this library to be the best room in the castle. Very Harry Potterish. =0))

Bastian too has now won a Best In Show - just like Rags and Caithlin.
On Saturday he was at the Darak cat show and competed against other mixed breed cats. The judge Laura Scholten liked his looks and personality, so she nominated him as best male. Later on stage he beat the best female and became Best In Show mixed breed.
This was only his second show, but all the way through he was relaxed and confident and I believe the show was a good experience for him.
Half a year ago Bastian was a homeless shelter cat - now he is an example of what great adult cats are up for adoption. We are so proud of our sweet and gentle boy.♥ :)

A bit of a gift for our first location on the second day of the recent Italian trip. Sunrise inside the Oculus Tower was quite simply about as good as it gets light wise.

~ breakfast for lunch {and many more pictures!} it was... while sunbathing in the apartment, celebrating every moment & saying nice & happy good byes to this place, much as it deserves it.

Granhult's church is the oldest entirely preserved wooden church in Sweden, the timber has been dated to the 13th century - the oldest parts of the church has been dated to the 1220s. In the 1830s it was ordered that the church was to be pulled down - probably because it was deemed as old-fashioned, dark and should be replaced with something more suitable and modern, but the villagers refused and the church was turned into storage facilities. From 1879 it was once again permitted to hold services in the church. The wall shingles were partly replaced in the 19th century, the exact age of the older bits that remains is not known.
The pews and pulpits inside the church dates to the 17th century, so too the paintings in the sacristy - with additional paintings in the ceiling there from the early 18th century by Hans Brachwagen (probably). The nave and chancel was painted Johan Christan Zschotzscher (directly on the timber) in 1753. The medieval windows were replaced in the north sometime in the 18th century (but before the room was painted) and the windows in the south in 1795. The altarpiece was painted by Torbern (Torbjörn) Röding in 1699.

The Hassan II Mosque or Grande Mosquée Hassan II is a mosque in Casablanca, Morocco. It is the largest mosque in
Morocco and Africa and the 7th largest in the world. Its minaret is the world's tallest at 210 metres (689 ft). Completed in 1993, it was designed by Michel Pinseau and built by Bouygues. The minaret is 60 stories high topped by a laser, the light from which is directed towards Mecca. The mosque stands on a promontory looking out to the Atlantic Ocean, the sea bed being visible through the glass floor of the building's hall. The walls are of hand-crafted marble and the roof is retractable. A maximum of 105,000 worshippers can gather together for prayer: 25,000 inside the mosque hall and another 80,000 on the mosque's outside grounds.
