I'm pretty sure it's a rule that all Texans must at some point stand in the Capitol Building and look up at the rotunda. I remember doing it as a kid. This time, decades later, I had a camera.
The hardest part was getting to the center amongst all of the tour groups that would gather at that exact spot.
This HDR was made from three handheld shots.

La basilique funéraire - également appelée église basse ou crypte - est la partie la plus ancienne de l'édifice. Réalisée à partir de 1081 par le premier atelier ayant œuvré à la construction de l'église, elle comprend deux croisillons à absidioles orientées, un triple vaisseau comprenant quatre travées droites couvertes dans leur partie centrale d'une voûte d'arêtes surbaissée supportée par de puissants tores, ainsi qu'une abside intégrant un déambulatoire et une série de trois chapelles rayonnantes voûtées en cul-de-four. Des baies en plein cintre assurent un éclairage régulier du sanctuaire
Quatre paires de piles massives, aux socles circulaires ou cruciformes, marquent la limite entre le vaisseau principal et les bas-côtés. Les sculptures des chapiteaux, ornés principalement de motifs végétaux et d'entrelacs d'inspiration antique, constituent l'un des ensembles remarquables du sanctuaire. À l'entrée de l'église basse, un large bandeau composé de motifs floraux assez grossiers présente les caractéristiques de la sculpture mérovingienne. Il pourrait s'agir d'un élément de réemploi provenant de l'ancienne basilique construite au VIe siècle par l'évêque Palladius.
Les dimensions de l'église basse en font l'une des plus vastes cryptes romanes d'Europe : sa longueur totale est ainsi de 35 mètres de long pour une hauteur sous voûte de 5 mètres. Un escalier permettait autrefois d'accéder directement à l'église haute via une nef commune, disposition unique aujourd'hui rompue par la destruction de cette dernière en 1803. Une vaste campagne de restauration de l'église basse a été menée au début du XXe siècle.
Au centre de la crypte, le cénotaphe monolithe rappelle la mémoire du saint

Going back to my roots with an Italian breakfast this Saturday morning.
The unimpressed look on Macey's face cracks me up......she was trying to take her after dinner nap when I started taking pictures.
I liked the fact that you can see both her shadow and reflection from this vantage point in my bedroom.
I recently bought this recliner and she's found it to be very suitable for her needs as well. LOL!

Ten days ago I drove into the Rocky Mountains from Boulder Colorado. I ended up for dinner in a sleepy mining town called Nederland. Most places were already closed, so I settled for bar called Pioneer Inn.
About the title: "Honkey Tonk Blues" is a country and western song written and performed by Hank Williams. The original 1952 recording was a major hit.
I processed a balanced and a paintery HDR photo from two RAW exposures, then blended the two to get this paintery and still realistic look of the bar.

A Canadair Regional Jet, MSN 10070, just after arrival at Toronto Pearson Airport.
At the time the photo was taken MSN 10070 was registered as N505MJ for Mesa Airlines, oprating on behalf and in the livery of United Express.
Since 18/03/2021 MSN 10070 is owned by GoJet Airlines, on 30/07/2021 it was re-registered as N561GJ, final fate: in storage since August 2022.
