That toy is just sitting there minding its own business, not knowing there is a cat who is about to viciously attack it.
This is the Nikkor-Q version of the lens which is a touch softer than the coated "Q C" flavor, but still a decent lens. The addition of the Butterfly Chip to the lens, adding immediate EXIF input and body-controllable f-sops, is a nice addition to its usefulness.

Earlier this month when Nikon released their D850 camera, 32 professional male photographers were surveyed on the camera’s latest features and how it would impact their work. There wasn’t a single female photographer on the list. After public criticism, Nikon released a statement revealing the details of the incident, mentioning they invited a few women photographers, but they were unable to attend, but the Internet isn’t quite ready to lay the issue to rest.
Thirty-two men and zero women is not a balanced input. When children are young, their minds are full of dreams. Every child grows up with dreams. Some dream of being artists, performers, a president, or other notable careers. Some also grow up with the dream of becoming a photographer. We have Nikon's list of 32 male photographers. In honor of Dream Day, here is Flickr's list 32 phenomenal female photographers that we'd would recommend for Nikon in the future.

Kodak brownie hawkeye, flip lens, loaded with Fuji Acros. The spool was so tight I actually have stretch lines in the film emulsion.

Saint Basil’s cathedral on the Red square in Moscow, Russia.
In 16th century a stone church of the Trinity with a small cemetery was situated on this place. The Blessed Vasily, who has died in August 2, 1555, considered to be foolish, was buried near this stone church. In October 2, 1552, Russian troops took Kazan - the capital of the Kazan khanate. In commemoration of this event tsar Ivan the Terrible ordered to construct 7 wooden temples on the Red Square, where in 1555-1561 a stone temple, named after the Feast of the Protective veil, was erected (the assault on Kazan began the day of the holiday of the Protective veil, after two months siege). The church, situated in the central tower, was devoted to this holiday. Four towers-churches are located on different sides of the world. The northern - in the name of St. Kiprian and Ustina; that was the day of the complete capture of Kazan. In 1786 under petition of rich investor Natalia Hruscheva the church was consecrated in the name of St. Adrian and Natalia. The southern church is consecrated in the name of Nicola Velikoretsky, that is also connected with the Kazan campaign. The western church is consecrated in the name of the Input to Jerusalem, it is connected with solemn returning of the army to Moscow. Eastern church is consecrated in the name of Trinity, that is, the church, which was before situated at the cathedral place, was transferred into it.
The towers, located along the diagonals, are devoted to various events of the Kazan campaign: north - west church of the Grigory Armyansky (day of capture of the Arskaya tower). South - east church of Alexander Svirsky (rout of 30-thousand group tatar cavalry under the command of the tatar prince Japanchi); north -east church of the three patriarchs of Alexandria - the memory day of these saints is marked the same day as the memory day of Alexander Svirsky. South - west church of Varlaam Hutynsky is the only church, which is not connected with the events of the campaign.
The central temple consists of tetrahedron, octahedron and is completed by an octahedral light drum with gilded head. There is a covered promenade (gallery) around the bottom circle. Vaults of the promenade lean on the massive columns with decorative pediments on the top. Transition from the octahedron to a tent is decorated with the set of kokoshniks. Four towers - churches, located on the sides of the world, consist each of three octahedrons, narrowed by ledges, and a drum with the figured head. Four small churches on diagonals are tetrahedrons, transition to a drum is made out by three rows of semicircular kokoshniks. The building has no expressed main facade and is designed for an all-round viewing, for circular detour. Interiors of churches are simple. The cathedral is interesting in its appearance. As though it represents the fantastic "paradise town". The temple is fairly considered to be a monument of architecture and construction art of world value. Till now the cathedral is a branch of the State Historical museum. The first divine service was held in October, 14, 1991, however regular divine services are not made.

I finished this back in September, but forgot to put a picture on here!
This is my Lego Southern UK railway (LSUR) member conflat wagon. These were created as a fundraiser for the LSUR's layout construction. The design is by Henry Ayling with some input from others. Still needs some chains to finish it off. Custom prints by Fab_Bricks.
I know absolutely nothing about this car except that the word, "Invicta" was inscribed on the radiator cowling. It is not like any model Invicta that I have been able to find on the internet or in any antique automobile books that I have or know about. I don't believe it's what one would call a "kit car" nor is it a 'replica'. The owner was no where to be found when I shot these pictures at the British Car Fest in September of 2015.
If anyone has some information, I welcome your input. Meanwhile hope you enjoy...............
I love old weathered signs! Can't get enough of them and the naval base has them everywhere.

Recently, Evan has shown an interest in photography so I've taken him out with me a few times.
Thought I'd try him out with a long exposure shot, but not sure an energetic 9 year old has the patience to stand still for a long time - he prefers wandering around looking for subjects (probably advice I should follow..)
Anyway, this is what we came up with between us, and I asked him for his input with the processing too.
Will likely revisit when the tide is a bit higher..

A Better Cut..per Messent and others! thanks for the input on this one...more of a horizontal composite now --no hdr ...deserves it's own space
Every season has its own glory (James Watkins)
Every season has its own glory,
Every purpose has its own time,
Every moment has its own story,
Every story has its own line.
I have walked deep into cities,
Shining brightly never to fail,
Listened to heart cries,
Lost in the morning,
Standing on corners
Stagnant and stale.
Where is the hope
That brought forth the laughter?
Where is the song?
The music unveiled?
Why are the choices so
Wasted and bitter?
Gathered in hatred,
Broken and pale.
I have seen (new) stars on the mountains,
Fed on the movement of heaven and earth-
Fired by the framework
Of perfect perspective,
Fueled by the turning of terrible truth.
Come now and sing of mists in the forest,
Sensual sonnets of songs in the dirt-
Come and behold the delicate balance
Of seasons and reasons and rhythms
And birth.
There are the voices lost in confusion,
Crushed in the thriving, deepening swale-
Calloused and cold the circling convenience,
Crippled commotion emotions prevail.
Beacons of quiet in last true performance,
Heralded nature in singular cause-
Perfect and pure
Though wasted and slandered.
Washed by confession
In smoldering awe.
Severed connections, squandered projections-
Revered reflections, stammering tongues-
Coined by controlling contriving convections,
In different directions now written in stone.
Now is the time to look to the heavens,
Now is the moment to take up the cause,
Now is the voice of blazing amazement,
Borne on the winds of the gathering storm.
Listen to stream, listen to forest,
Listen to flower, and staggering fawn-
Listen to voices rolling like thunder,
Drink of the waters
And dance with the dawn.
Wrapped in the garments of natural beauty,
Facing the force of burgeoning call-
Strong in the seasons of life and creation,
Firm on foundations that never will fall.

Master of Water, Knight in the service of the House of Kihanu, and Toa Vihagu.
My intent with the MOC was to tone down the colors from the previous version and make him appear more like a particular style (in this case, a knight) rather than a collage of unorganized parts. This version toned down the yellow a lot, and for the moment does not include any dark azure, although I may re-add that. Shins are the main thing I need input on, as I haven't come across anything that works. I also plan for him to have a custom helmet in the final version.
Taking baby steps in Landscape photography.
Your input and critics will be highly appreciated.

The challenge on Flickr Friday was Opposites, well did not have to go far to find an opposite, the battery with + and - but I liked the audio jacks of in and out, The Who - Quadraphenia comes to mind, "Inside, Outside leave me alone".
The image shows the estimated economic losses in Euro for residential buildings in the city of Molinella. They were computed exploiting the SaferPlaces platform damage model using the water depth maps as input.

This was a test for finding some behaviors of the magic donkey (interestingness algorithm), which executed as a black-box test, with tuning inputs and evaluationg outputs.
You can check the experience results here.
The following is original description of this photo, before publishing the results:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All my dear friends,
I want to ask you for a birthday gift!
I would be appreciated if you please add this photo to your favorites.
(Because of tags limitation, I removed this part of my request. I also removed all your kindly added tags just because of respecting those who couldn't add a tag!)
(For those who are scrimpy in fave-ing (like me), you can add it to your list, and remove it after 10 days)
I just want to check if all flickr members who like my photos fave this, what rank it should gain in Explore ;)
So please do not add this photo as a favorite if you don't know me or I'm not a contact of you. I mean if you want to fave this just because of itself, please do not do that. I want to count my friends ;)
Of course you will be appreciated as a new friend, if you fave this..
I won't post this photo to any set or group for ten days!
----
I started a discussion thread in FlickrCentral about this shot and my test:
A hack, or a test? "Interestingness"!
And another better discussion on hep forum:
Strange action of "interestingness" algorithm
-----------
Last hours of day 2:
- Seems visits and faves are almost finished.
- Now I want to add it to "iranian" group and a set just for evaluating the result.
First hours of day 3:
- Interestingness rank of this shot in my own photostream increased from 56 to 38 after adding to Iranian group!
- I'll try 1-2-3 style groups now
Day 3, 5 o'clock:
- It is #28 now
- I'm going to remove from all 123 style groups
End of day 3:
- #21
Day 8:
- Not yet in Explore
- #17 in my stream
Test is over!
