For the Macro Mondays theme "Beatles/Beetles" I wanted to illustrate their song 'Sun King'.
Here comes the sun king
Here comes the sun king
Everybody's laughing
Everybody's happy
Here comes the sun king

"Sun King" is a song written primarily by John Lennon, but credited to Lennon–McCartney and recorded by the Beatles for their 1969 album Abbey Road.
If you want to read more about "SUN KING" or what ARE they saying at the end of the song?, here a link: beatlesong.info/mg/sun_king_deciphered.html

I don't know why my mind is locked onto beaches and lighthouses. Maybe it is the approach of warm weather which always brings the promise of a trip to the coast.
Thanks for visiting and your comments are always appreciated!

I am still experimenting with AI in combination with my own photos. In this one the woman was created in DDG and then used as the input image for Wombo to create two photos which were merged. Elements from my own photos were included and everything was further manipulated in both Topaz and Photoshop.

I don't have nice weather right now, it's raining/snowing. So I decided to take pictures indoors and try focus stacking. This is my Pentax with street photography outfit, the lens is one of the cheapest and lightest and with an extremely good illumination quality, at just 122 g (4.3 oz.). I used 21 images here to really get everything sharp from front to back, even though I was already working with an aperture of 11. It needed a bit of love input on the details, but I think it was worth it. What do you think?

Pond grasses on the surface of Lake Martha, along with shore refections, early evening after a Brighton Lakes trail hike. That circular cluster of grass looks like a maelstrom, and the granite rocks look like they are being fed into it, with the stringers of grass emerging out the other end. Of course, the process could just as easily be moving in the opposite direction. : )

Due to more strict enforcement of their rules, Flickr has asked me and many others to take down info such as links to personal websites and workshop information. However, it is still allowed to have such information in one's Flickr Profile.
i have been updating all of my work to redo the watermark and some for better processing and add to newer groups.

Birds with nesting material, shot 3 of 4...
Blackbirds have character. They will fearlessly attack raptors to drive them away from their breeding territory. It is estimated that males spend a quarter of their daylight hours in territorial defence. They build intricate nests in cattail marsh or similar wetland habitat. The Cornell site has a great description of their nest-building, prefaced by commenting that the female chooses the nest site, "with some input from the male."
(Wow. Sounds like he offers suggestions, but she has ultimate veto powers. Just like our species.)
Anyway, according to Cornell: "Females build the nests by winding stringy plant material around several close, upright stems and weaving in a platform of coarse, wet vegetation. Around and over this she adds more wet leaves and decayed wood, plastering the inside with mud to make a cup. Finally, she lines the cup with fine, dry grasses. One nest picked apart by a naturalist in the 1930s had been made by weaving together 34 strips of willow bark and 142 cattail leaves, some 2 feet long. When finished the nest is 4 to 7 inches across and 3 to 7 inches deep."
Impressive!
This female posed for me with a bit of nesting material, allowing me to shift position and work around a partial screen of shrubbery. (Note: I can't say "shrubbery" without thinking of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.) Her mate was nearby, likewise watching. I knew approximately where the nest must be, but it was clear they didn't want to lead me to it, so I got the shot and then left them in peace.

Florence Cathedral
Grand Duke Cosimo I de' Medici decided to have the dome painted with a representation of The Last Judgment. This enormous work, 3,600 metres² (38 750 ft²) of painted surface, was started in 1568 by Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari and would last till 1579. The upper portion, near the lantern, representing The 24 Elders of Apoc. 4 was finished by Vasari before his death in 1574. Federico Zuccari and a number of collaborators, such as Domenico Cresti, finished the other portions: (from top to bottom) Choirs of Angels; Christ, Mary and Saints; Virtues, Gifts of the Holy Spirit and Beatitudes; and at the bottom of the cupola: Capital Sins and Hell. These frescoes are considered Zuccari's greatest work. But the quality of the work is uneven because of the input of different artists and the different techniques. Vasari had used true fresco, while Zuccari had painted in secco. During the restoration work, which ended in 1995, the entire pictorial cycle of The Last Judgment was photographed with specially designed equipment and all the information collected in a catalogue. All the restoration information along with reconstructed images of the frescos were stored and managed in the Thesaurus Florentinus computer system.

"In Greek mythology Procrustes a vagabond, wanderer of the bed was inappropriate in a general squeezed: Who was too long, everything got chopped off any surplus, who was too short, was stretched to the right length. Each of us has the task to fathom who he really is. No one else can answer the question for us.
>> Who are you? <<Is a question that under the surface lies a vast, ramified root system thousands of times.
Who am I behind my mask behind my role? Who am I behind my words? Who am I when I'm alone with me? When I wake up in the middle of the night, then who am I? When the dawn me out of the jungle at night gets who I am before I am back behind the mask and the name of my days bring in identity security? -
It is one of the most neglected work our daily lives that we manage to keep hidden the wild complex diversity of our true identity so well that few people even suspect, what worlds collide in our hearts.
The friendship and love should be the safe regions in which our unknown self can come out to play.
Instead of holding our friend or loved one locked up in cramped cages cleaned up the frightened identity, should love him and set us free to celebrate our inherent complexity.
Why do we feel afraid and just in front of us to enjoy ourselves and the beauty of our own divinity?"

For 2018, I wanted to renovate the Mosaic Montage Monday group to be a theme based group featuring current trends in lifestyle and design.
I follow several trend reports in various industries. As visual styles evolve and progress over time, there is always something new that inspires.
Or, if you are anything like me, you probably have tons of archives and/or extra photos that no one has ever seen. This is the perfect place to do something new with them. Be creative!
Whether it's a color, a layout or even a font, it's refreshing to see what's new. Cultural trends and contrasts are also fascinating.
I am looking for input on Member's Choice themes. If you are interested, go to the discussion board in the group and share your good ideas!
This week's theme is Ultra Violet, inspired by Pantone's Color of the Year for 2018.
Some keywords Pantone suggests for Ultra Violet are: Inventive, Original, Ingenuity, Creative, Non-Conforming, Magical, Intuitive, Enigmatic, Complex, Mysterious, Intriguing, Contemplative, Meditative, Mystical, Thoughtful, Healing, Visionary, Dramatic.
Somehow, the word Revealing comes to mind because Ultra Violet light can reveal invisible ink or make those colors on black light poster pop. The Pantone shade seems muted and it actually reminds me of the lettering on Ditto Papers. Remember the scent of a fresh Ditto?
Tune in to the group tomorrow to see next week's theme!
