Will be a nice cement driveway NEXT spring after we don't have threats of freezing and ice and snow. Read all about it
Figured i'd take a picture. I have to have a set-up like this, or I go crazy. The painting or my palette is on my lap, depending on what I'm doing at the moment. My paints are on the floor to my left - you can kind of see them under the arm of the chair.
The never ending buildout. If you ever buy a storage building and want to fit it to be a domicile be ready for a lot of hassle. Studs not centered, walls not squared, ceilings not level, etc, etc, etc. We're becoming quite good at problem solving carpentry deals. Who knew you could triple block a wall to get it all together.
Which is fine, but I wanted a live model for the arms instead of the Diana figure. The arms look pretty good, though a bit gapy where the underarm isn't grafted yet. I'm not sure where the shoulders will lie, so it's just an approximation, but it looks like it's on target to fit properly!
Hooray! And maybe even finished by Thanksgiving or so.

This is a cable jumper I started around a year ago and then put down all summer, but I am back on it again and hope to finish it soon!
So I was looking for something to do today and so I went through my photos directory. And I found this photo that I scanned in 2003 for my dad. He asked me to scan it and see if I could restore it for him. I scanned it and promptly forgot all about it.
If memory serves, this guy is a high school friend of my dad's who flipped his Camaro and died. Hits a bit close to home for me, eh? (I have a Camaro. It used to be in great shape and I used to drive it like an idiot 22 year old.) From what I remember, this is the only photo he has of the guy. It's 1.5x1.5", almost positively from 126 film (I know that my folks used to have a 126 Instamatic).
So I figured maybe it would be a nice gift--Christmas or just whatever--to actually restore it and get it out to my dad.
