Life is Full of Beauty and
Sometimes that
Beauty is Unseen
This is a series about the beauty of the human body, the body that comes in many sizes, many shapes, and many looks. The human body is so precious but it is often abused in many ways. Sometimes people don’t see that.
Here is a story of a girl who is adored by the world
because of how she flirts with her own image,
an image to die for
My younger sister Xia plays the young beautiful girl. These photographs were taken with a 35mm camera and they were scanned into photoshop where I created these images. I chose not to change these images much because they are beautiful as they are.
I colored in the reflection of the girl to let you, the viewer
see what she saw in herself
The first photograph is an introduction to the girl’s normal life. It shows the photographer to remind you that this isn’t seen much by the world. This series will let you decide which part of the world (yours or hers) does not see this beauty.
Life gives so much but it takes away so much too

Sue's quilt on design wall at Liz's. We moved more blocks around on this one to balance color and density.
My name is Khyra Boswell. I am 13 years old. My birthday is on November, 8 . I go to Four Directions Charter School. I am in grade 8. My sister Kameko,18 and my brothers Kiefer,16 and, Matthew,15 go to the same school too.
This is my first year at this school. I chose to be in photography class because it is fun. I like taking pictures. I could make slideshows. I can take pictures with my friends too. I could print the pictures that I make. I hope I could turn my skill of photography into something one day.
I would like to go to cosmetology school when I grow up because I enjoy making someone look good. I like the fact that I could make myself and others look good by doing hair or make up. I’d like to attend business school too so I could own my own salon. It’s going to be called “Khyra’s Salon of Looking Good”.

Guild challenge.
At least I think it is cotton. Spinning on my Kromski Symphony at 20:1. Going quite well, actually.
I'm bringing some of my homemade automatic instruments to the Coney Island Museum's Band Organ Rally this Sunday. Come out, have some corn dogs, and listen to 19th and 21st century robots making music! www.moonmilk.com/2008/03/14/coney-island-band-organ-rally/
Yes, that's an actual hair dryer....I can't take the damn tray out as the door is stopped by the kitchen counter. I would have to figure out how to unscrew the door...I figured using a hair dryer would be easier in which I then had to take a cloth to soak in the water. My back hurts. Oh, my friend told me next time use boiling water instead of a hair dryer...yes...that would be safer. Don't try this at home kids.
based off of the best instructions i found: www.nativetech.org/dreamcat/dreminst.html
while wrapping, you can add stones & charms to the webbing. i used only one stone to represent the spider in the web.
when finished wrapping... i finished stitching at the bottom (of the middle) of the dream catcher and tied a feather.
All of the walls were opened to remove water damage and to allow installation of pipes and wires. We felt as though things were back on schedule here. The back wall in installed. They've put the tub in place. Ready to go onto tile, counters, and the other fixtures.
This is slide 8 in the series. Go to slide 9.
Which is fine, but I wanted a live model for the arms instead of the Diana figure. The arms look pretty good, though a bit gapy where the underarm isn't grafted yet. I'm not sure where the shoulders will lie, so it's just an approximation, but it looks like it's on target to fit properly!
Hooray! And maybe even finished by Thanksgiving or so.
At 2' x 4', This is the biggest painting I've done in quite a white... it's so big that it just fits on my 4' x 3' work table without room for much else. But, this is a study for an even bigger painting which I plan to make out of 3 of these panels placed next to each other, making a 4' x 6' painting. Before I get into building all that, I thought I'd better make a smaller one-panel version to see how it works out.
