These are the results of my first attempt at using my homemade alcohol inks.

 

Not having used even store bought alcohol inks before, I wasn't sure of what to expect.

 

Please note that the colours are not quite as bright IRL however I did NOT photoshop these or anything. That's just how they scanned.

All liquids in the bag for the flight. Water color and ink.

Ink Tree Test: Diamine Ancient Copper on Stillman & Birn, Zeta paper.

 

I love this ink. I usually have this in one of my fountain pens ready to write. :)

 

*please note the difference in the ink is due to the use in the flash in the previous photographs. This image is scanned.*

The ink is Diamine Steel Blue and the converter was brand new.

Sketches with Pentel brush in court in Harrison NY, paying for ticket. $385 ticket. How painful. Like this little pen brush.

Ink on acrylic paint. I think I need to do a series, since this didn't turn out the way I originally envisioned.

Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM. L-series glass w/o the red ring. The sharpest lens I've used so far in my life. Truly astonishing.

Ink on paper, Procreate on an iPad Pro

The band aid is because life is a constant healing process.

PLATINUM / Fountain pen ink cleaner set.

Materials: Diamine Steel Blue ink & water on white tissue paper lying on glass

Alcohol ink on glossy cardstock. Over-stamped with collage style stamp by Hampton Art Stamps. Added crystal lacquer over diamond (first in a circle, then again in diamond shape) and also over necklace pendant. Added border of Black Diamond Stickles to ATC and border around heart-shaped pendant. Also a little smear of stickles on the diamond, right over the top of the lacquer. TFL!

The Bio Ink research explores the concept of living ink that grows freely – a creative symbiosis with other organisms and nature. In the research, biological inks comprised of various microorganisms are created in the bio lab. A drawing robot holding a bio pen/brush in the lab receives the drawings and messages created with a digital pen tablet and draws on the nutrient agar plate in a petri dish. The artworks then are incubated in a controlled environment to allow the living ink to grow.
