Panel painted yesterday, from the book I'm working on. Ink, watercolor, gouache, digital word balloons.
Wife's uncle is an avid fisherman (as is most of the men in her family) and he takes the time to make prints of the fish. He accomplishes this by the following technique. As soon as the fish is caught (and I presume dead) a roller brush with ink is applied to the side of the fish and the fish is stamped onto the canvas. Some of these fish where quite large. Impressive technique of preserving the moment.
if this is his mid-life crisis, i will take it. better bikes and ink than hot women and fast cars, haha!

This is Jennifers first tattoo. She's always wanted a flower and so she finally went ahead and did it. She will probably add her sons name or initials next to it. I work with Jennifer at Starbucks.

Ink transfer - Made in 1972 before color copying, and way before anything digital. This image was made from photos in a fashion magazine, using lighter fluid and rubbing with a spoon, on heavy card stock.
Sorry, no dogs. However, good things to happen to people who save a lot of stuff and seldom get around to cleaning the house. I had this box which I thought contained some old slides (not the interesting kind). I am very slowly going through things to find stuff for the antique mall, so I looked in the box (planning on putting it in recycling). To my very great surprise and joy it contained a large collection of steropticon slides (cards), which I had thought had been stolen years ago. There are also quite a number of these ink transfer images - which I made in 1972. I will start on scanning and posting the stereo slides as I can - and will also share these images. My brother will be happy to see that they almost all feature pretty girls.
