For a smaller shop, the selection at Wonder Pens' Studio shop was still amazing.

New Ink Today....
Ink curls soft like a daydream’s grin,
A tiny spell stitched into skin.
It flutters light, a secret wink—
A little magic made of ink.

Sloan's Ink Eradicator by the Waterman Pen Company - the box and bottles 1 and 2 with some of the original fluid still inside.
Possibly from the 1950s.
I started teaching photography and the first lesson was water and ink photography. Its my first time doing ink photography and the pics turned out decent.

Exploring techniques used to make last week's Currents pendant. The back is a bit simpler, but just as pretty. I applied black PearlEx powder prior to curing. After baking, I used 600 grit sandpaper to remove some of the color. Then I used alcohol inks to add color. Coupled with hand dyed silk cords.
I don’t think that I will be changing any paints for my trip to DR – so 4 weeks before I leave, I am reviewing my stock to see if I need to get anything in the next 2 weeks. I plan to get a clean new palette ready 2 weeks before I leave.
Got to decide on my other supplies (pens and pencils) Notice the orange ink here –rather excited about this. I have my eye on a noodlers variety but this was a French Indian Orange cartridge I found on Saturday. (it is not waterproof but that is fine as I do not intend to use with watercolour (more for notes or line drawings) VERY handy for travelling that it is a cartridge.
Nothing special about this street in Brooklyn, but it caught my eye. When you start wondering, you won't notice how you start speaking in familiar language all the time, how everything translated into visual images. I used ink in Moleskine, red and yellow Pitt brushes for touch of color.
I was originally going to do a shot of me pouring water today but when I added ink to make the water more visible I was amazed by the different shapes formed so I decided to take an abstract art shot today instead. I think this is a project to come back to another day but for now it works I think. Any shapes in this one? I can't see any yet.

found it really interesting to combine the black ink line drawing with sepia brushwork - i am pleased with the result but certainly feedbacks are welcome and appreciated.
If there is one thing, one single thing that has to be a fave of mine about SL it's the vast beyond vast selection of ink you can find literally everywhere! This gorgeous design is called Alina by Vezzo Ink, and while I bought the fat pack, I currently have the multicolor version on! I AM IN LOVE!!!!
...and playful practice. :)

(BTW... Arizona had BIG SNOWS
in the "high country"...Flagstaff...last night...(2+ feet)!
Closer to home...
the tops of the mountains surrounding the valley
to the north
are snow packed...and soooo gorgeous!
In addition...we even had
a few flurries which danced by and amused us
here in the desert today!
Hmmm...
palm trees, cacti and snow flurries...
who would have ever thought?
