Ink and bits of watercolor in Stillman&Birn Gamma series sketchbook. Amazed me again the strength of the paper sustaining all my washes and scratches.

An entry point. A beauty we hunger for. Here is contentment, Sabbath rest. Someone has called, said a word, and the eyes are alert, the mouth responding, the ear listening. A light shining on the cheek and the fabric, an envelope. We are in peace.

About "The Redeemer Project" - In November of 2017 I received an invitation from Bethany Kenyon of Redeemer University College in Ontario, Canada to participate in a two-person exhibition. My initial thought was to show a few paintings, but various considerations led me to the idea of making a series of small, postcard sized drawings. The drawings would be installed over the course of the exhibition one at a time, starting with just one. I invited my wife Sherrie to write a text for each drawing (see above) which I will post in relation to each drawing concurrently with when it (the drawing) is installed in the exhibition.

Tattoo parlor on West 4th street, in Greenwich Village, New York City. Took several photos thru the window on auto. Held camera as steady as I could. Came out pretty good I think after tweeking it in post.
Used ink and couple of Inktense pencils on Fluid watercolor paper from DickBlick. This Fluid sketchbooks are pretty cheap but I really like it
ALCOHOL INK BUBBLES....3RD attempt.
I was playing with 91% Alcohol here...I may have been unintentionally DRUNK for Halloween last night, just from inhaling the fumes!!!
I got the ink jar at Savers for a buck, and the feathers at Hobby Lobby: two or three dollars for a package of six.
But by a camera, Nikon D90 and Tamron 70-300mm

Just another quick shot today as i have loads on still. Wanted to create the illusion that i was melting for this but during the processing thought it looked good as just me emerging from a puddle of ink.
Didn't actually take any time at all to do as it was just a case of erasing portions of the image and adding reflections and playing with the colour. Now i have a taste of trying this out like a scene out of Terminator! Later guys! :)

CHIRI UNRYU PAPER is very thin handmade Japanese paper. the dark pieces are in it are pieces of bark. It is a very thin paper, somewhat like tissue paper, yet stronger and stiffer. It does not fall apart when wet, but does require extra care especially when trying to draw or use pen and ink.
Here is a link about this paper....http://www.theearthpaper.net/chiri-paper.html
New session on Ink 'N' Water, I use a green ink drooped form a needle in a bowl of water, then I use the Photoshop to color it.
