Fab Four

Final cover with color added.

I didn't add the color, someone from their label did.

Looks good! : )

I don’t know what these are called. We never had them in Bristol or Manchester.

The Rideau Canal Lockstation in Ottawa is just below Parliament Hill and the entrance to the Ottawa River. It's really in a marvellous location . . . and fortunately for me, across from a bike route that I've been using lately. In spring, the water level of the canal is replenished having been almost drained for the winter to protect the structures as well as permitting skating on the city portion of the waterway. There's usually a lot of activity at the locks with large tourist boats returning to their docks on the river which causes the opening and closing of the locks - which in turn create small waterfalls.

Note: Throwing myself into playing with colour ...the learning curve may be slow but it sure is fun. :) That aside...it was such a lovely weather as I was out and about today, that no matter where I went as I was running my errands, people were chatty and happy. It just was not possible to avoid getting pulled into conversations with shop owners often on benches outside their stores. Timetable was out the window ...ah who needs 'em anyway? I love living in my vibrant down town neighborhood! :D

Inktober 2025, DAY 18

My reaction to the granting of exclusive access only to news organizations that follow the particular narrative organizations of the moment in The White House. The others he refers to as 'Enemies of the people'....

My brain after two weeks of linguistic immersion in Finland....thanks to all members of my extended family for their patience with the shameless manner in which I abused the Finnish Language.

The online fountain pen shop, Goulet Pens, has a monthly sampler pack of inks.

This month the ink colours chosen were themed: 'Down to Earth'

I thought I'd test drive the lot by using them, and only them, in a drawing....

Heartache All Over The World

Music & lyrics by Elton John & Bernie Taupin 1986

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I'm running away

From this house on the hill

There's a devil inside

sitting on the window sill

And it's a wild Friday night

And I'm all on my own

I knocked on every door in town

There ain't one little girl that's home

And everybody's got a date

And the ones that ain't are tired

What the hell do you do on a weekend honey

When your heart's on fire

And you can go from Tokyo to Rome

Looking for a girl

But it looks to me like the weekend means

Heartache all over the world

Girls, girls, girls

Have pity on me

Oh it looks to me like the weekend means

Heartache, heartache all over the world

He's got lipstick on his collar

She's got fishnets on her legs

I'm at home and I've got nothing

Just a cold and aching head

There must be something dirty

Just blame it on the magazines

Don't read that trash it'll drive you crazy

'Cause the cops invade your dreams

And everybody's got a date

And the one's that ain't are tired

What the hell do you do on a weekend honey

When your heart's on fire
