Training myself to draw has been an interesting exercise. I studied the workds of Nicolas de Crecy, the Rat Rod artists, Stephan Marjoram, R.Crumb, S.Clay Wilson and many others. While I certainly will never develop the kind of talent they had, this has been a good way to "kill time" during the various periods of lockdown here in France during the Covid Pandemic.

For some reason I don't seem to be able to find this tree that I drew last year, anywhere in here.... <.<
It is also impossible to scan the metallic wonder that is the sheen in this ink. Suffice it to say that this particular ink is one that actually lives up to the hype.

Notes: I saw a really cute pair of digital illustrations by Taryndraws on tumblr, and it featured Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson as felines ( wearing the ubiquitous muffler and jumper) ....I loved the idea. However I prefer to reimagine them as pets in their household, reflecting their humans personalities. It would make a great story to have a pair of kitties solving mysteries amidst the usual chaos of 221 B Baker St.
INKTOBER day 28: JUMBO
1973 movie Superchick or Colpo Grosso Al Jumbo Jet in Italian. Totally sexist… but hey: there is a Boing Jumbo Jet in the background.
