The star is a Guarani design from lowland Bolivia. The interior design from the star is from the highlands. The borders designs are woven in typical textiles from Calcha in highland Bolivia. This was woven with doubled strands of sewing cotton.

Silver Cross Prams
Surf 2014 Pram Designs
Influenced by men’s tailoring and suiting
All my pram designs were created using a basic black and white Surf template provided by Silver Cross. To give the designs a more realistic appearance I filled in the chassis with a silver gradient and the plastic parts with a black gradient. However when this was done some parts of the template needed adjusting so the filled sections matched up and appeared as they would in real life; parts needed to be realigned or deleted completely and some sections needed to be placed on different layers.
I used the Live Paint tool to fill in the fabric sections of the prams, this resulted in a very precise fill, unlike in PS, when using the magic wand and paint bucket tools results in a fill that is jagged, has uneven edges and doesn’t always colour all the way up to the black lines.
I used a selection of vector graphics that I created from scratch, as well as some images sourced from the internet to create the textile patterns. I used the define pattern feature to create pattern swatches for each of these graphics. This meant sections could be filled in using the Live Paint tool without the need for layers or cropping, this saved me a lot of time and effort. However some patterns (only the ones created using images sourced from the internet) did not repeat evenly when placed side by side, because of this there are some noticeable edges in the filled sections where the patterns do not match up. To solve this problem I would create all of my own vector graphics to use as patterns, by doing this I would be sure each pattern would tessellate/match up on the edges neatly.
All of my pram designs have been heavily influenced by tailoring in general and the specific aesthetics of a particular suit - Descriptions of designs start from left to right
Image 1 - Mood Board - The image layout was created in PS then the file was imported in AI. An AI template was used for the text and line layout.
Image 2 - Pram Designs and Inspirations - These prams were inspired by a suit made by Gieves & Hawkes. I selected various textures and colours from the suit to use in my pram designs. To see which combinations of outer fabric and lining worked well together I created a number of designs (the smaller ones show the outer layer and lining side by side).
Image 3 - Pram Designs and Inspirations - This pram was inspired by a suit made by Gieves & Hawkes. I used the jackets hounds-tooth pattern for the outer layer and created two combinations of seat and lining colourways based on the tan and white colours of the shirt and jumper in the suit.
Image 4 - Pram Designs and Inspirations - These prams were inspired by two contrasting suits made by Gieves & Hawkes. I selected various textures and colours from the suits to use in my pram designs.
Image 5 - Pram Designs and Inspirations - This final pram was inspired by a navy blue polka dot pocket square that was styled with the tan suit from Image 4.
Taken in the churchyard of St Buryan's in Nevern. A very overcast day with not very helpful light. Lith seemed a good way to capture the weathered texture in the stonework and convey the general sense of gloom imbued by the conditions.

The Jewish Square, Vienna 1, formed in the Middle Ages under the name of "schoolyard" the center of the former Jewish Town, extending next to the Ducal court. It was closed from the rest of the city by four gates. Here there were school, bathhouse, synagogue and the house of the rabbi. The school was one of the most important of German-speaking countries. The community existed from about 1190 to the Vienna Geserah in 1421.
The stemming from the 15th century Jordan House, Nr. 2, bears a late Gothic relief with the representation of Jesus' baptism in the Jordan. This is not only a reference to the name of the house owner, Jörg Jordan, but also to the Vienna Geserah which the accompanying text endorses. On the initiative of Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, the Archdiocese of Vienna donated a plaque which Cardinal Franz König on 29 October 1998 unveiled. Its text reads: "Kiddush HaShem" means "sanctification of God". With this awareness, chose Viennese Jews in the synagogue here on Jewish Square - the center of an important Jewish community - at the time of persecution 1420/21 the suicide to escape a feared by them forced baptism. Others, about 200, were burnt alive in Erdberg (today 3rd district of Vienna) at the stake. Christian preachers of that time spread superstitious anti-Jewish ideas and thus incited against the Jews and their faith. So influenced, Christians in Vienna acquiesced without resistance, approved it and became perpetrators. Thus, the liquidation of the Vienna Jewish Town in 1421 was already a looming omen for what happened in our century throughout europe during the Nazi dictatorship. Medieval popes pronounced unsuccessfully against the anti-Jewish superstition, and individual believers struggled unsuccessfully against the racial hatred of the Nazis. But those were too few. Today Christendom regrets its involvement in the persecution of Jews and recognizes its failures. "Sanctification of God" today for Christians can only mean: asking for forgiveness and hope in God's salvation. October 29, 1998
Already in 1910, consisted the plan here the poet of the Enlightenment, Gotthold Ephraim Lessing (1729-1781), who in his play "Nathan the Wise" the interdenominational tolerance has put up a literary monument, to honor with a statue. In 1935, a sculpture by Siegfried Charoux was unveiled, but only four years later, in 1940, taken off and melted down for armaments. In 1968, the same artist created again a Lessing monument, which came first on the Morzin square and 1981 on the original site.
Since 2000, the place is a unique ensemble of remembering with the memorial by Rachel Whiteread for the 65,000 Austrian victims of the Shoah. 1995 the foundations of the in 1420 destroyed synagogue were excavated which now with finds constitute a part of the branch of the Jewish Museum Vienna. A computer-animated walk leads into one of the largest Jewish communities in Europe which existed here in the early 15th century. Another room is dedicated to the Shoah documentation.
Der Judenplatz, Wien 1, bildete im Mittelalter unter dem Namen „Schulhof“ den Mittelpunkt der einstigen Judenstadt, die sich neben dem Herzogshof erstreckte. Sie war durch vier Tore von der übrigen Stadt abgeschlossen. Hier befanden sich Schule, Badestube, Synagoge und das Haus des Rabbiners. Die Schule war eine der bedeutendsten des deutschen Sprachraums. Die Gemeinde bestand ab etwa 1190 bis zur Wiener Geserah im Jahre 1421.
Das aus dem 15. Jahrhundert stammende Jordanhaus, Nr. 2, trägt ein spätgotisches Relief mit der Darstellung der Taufe Jesu im Jordan. Dieses ist nicht nur eine Anspielung auf den Namen des Hausbesitzers, Jörg Jordan, sondern auch auf die Wiener Geserah, die der beigefügte Text gut heißt. Auf Initiative von Kardinal Christoph Schönborn stiftete die Erzdiözese Wien eine Gedenktafel, die Kardinal Franz König am 29. Oktober 1998 enthüllte. Christliche Prediger dieser Zeit verbreiteten abergläubische judenfeindliche Vorstellungen und hetzten somit gegen die Juden und ihren Glauben. So beeinflusst nahmen Christen in Wien dies widerstandslos hin, billigten es und wurden zu Tätern. Somit war die Auflösung der Wiener Judenstadt 1421 schon ein drohendes Vorzeichen für das, was europaweit in unserem Jahrhundert während der nationalsozialistischen Zwangsherrschaft geschah. Mittelalterliche Päpste wandten sich erfolglos gegen den judenfeindlichen Aberglauben, und einzelne Gläubige kämpften erfolglos gegen den Rassenhaß der Nationalsozialisten. Aber es waren derer zu wenige. Heute bereut die Christenheit ihre Mitschuld an den Judenverfolgungen und erkennt ihr Versagen. „Heiligung Gottes“ kann heute für die Christen nur heißen: Bitte um Vergebung und Hoffnung auf Gottes Heil. 29. I see historical artefacts as art: dereliction, archaic buildings, machinery. I first engaged with this love with the Detroit photographs of Romain Meffre and Yves Marchand. Their photos are particularly evocative because they represent the lives the workers lived and their legacy. The factories clashed perfectly with the opulent hotels and theatres, showing that physical legacy will be the same as that of industrial machinery.
I love steam engines, objects that are elegant, powerful and functional. My 'Junction' project shows this; in my mono-prints of steam engines I have tried to portray the rough raw power that I see in them as well as recording stations as the bubble of stillness amidst the power and speed of the engines.
The Bauhaus movement and William Morris, who believed in the beauty and utility of art, influence me. The exhibition 'Art Turning Left' at the Tate inspired me, from French propaganda posters to artists’ collectives. The aesthetic of my 'Ideal World' project is influenced by the Guerilla Girls and Banksy with the bold compositions found in political posters.
I have been consistently drawn to portraiture as a means of representing my ideas. Faces are the single most recognisable symbols for human beings. The portraits by Maggi Hambling have influenced my painting style. I also love Mark Rothko’s colours, Paul Klee’s compositions and Gerhard Richter’s style. I love working with oil paint and palette knives, and instead of canvasses I prefer to use cardboard or wood, so as to retain a rough aesthetic.

The former St. Peter's Church of Ireland (1891), in the forgotten, 19th centry mill village of Laragh, Co. Monaghan.
This church is unusual in that it is made from corrugated iron. The story goes that it was brought back to Laragh by the mill owner and his wife from their honeymoon in Switzerland, where she saw and fell in love with it. Designed in a swiss-gothic hybrid style, it is located in a small, narrow wooded valley alongside the river which powered the village's mill. The landscaping around the church is designed to evoke a small mountain glade with rocky outcrops around the church.
It was deconsecrated in 1962. It's not that obvious from this shot, but the exterior has become quite run down.
