Rare, if not unique, photo of me in my brief acting days in an improvisational theater company in the Bronx. About as off-Broadway as you can get and still be in New York. Early 1980's.
Pacino, De Niro, and Travolta had little to worry about.

I used a tripod plate and the strap from my bag to make a camera strap I can wear across my chest instead of over the shoulder. Works great with the 1D II + 28-70 (pictured) or 70-200, not so great with anything lighter than that. I found a rifle sling on ebay that attaches at one point instead of 2 like this strap that should be perfect for this.
sigma 530 bounced off the ceiling and sunpak minis (slaves) on each side.
Just like the title says. This one's old too, vintage January '05. White conte on some sort of grey-black paper I had lying around.
Another "sort of" a portrait, for a change...

all these skirts i've been making have been highly improvised but this one more than most. i saw a woman with a skirt like this, with the muslin lining peeking out an inch or two, and decided i wanted one. i didn't even measure anything on this one and just eyeballed the hem. it's very obvious if you scrutinize the hemline -- it's all over the place!! on the plus side it came together in no time at all.

rolled up and tied. Since I used four separate (and rather thin) rib steaks, these aren't very big, which is fine because they're going to be served with the short ribs as part of a "duo of beef."

This photo is proof that Andy could give Wile E. Coyote a run for his money as "suuuuuuuuper genius." We lacked a proper shotgun mic that would eliminate all audio except what we wanted to capture, so Andy rigged up the camera shotgun to a lighting ballast and SHAZAM! Worked like a charm.
