We don't get a great deal of snow, so we've never gotten a sled. But a plastic toybox lid works PERFECTLY on a thick layer of ice.

Those are Nature Valley Dark Chocolate Granola Thins. These could only be improved if I had a fire to toast the marshmallows with.

This idea courtesy of Dave Cleasby. It's a ballancer/steering wheel puller, with longer bolts to hook behind the teeth of the crank sprocket. The hose clamp keeps the bolts from splaying out as you wrench down on the pusher bolt wedged into the crank snout. Genius, and I didn't have to buy a jaw puller. Of course, the Haynes manual said the sprokcet should come off with a couple of screwdrivers...right.
