Impressions from the second Stuttgart's Tweed Run yesterday.
Captured with a Fuji X100's using Aperture and a Kodak Tri-X 400 development.
Some impressions from the city of Ushuaia. It's small, remote and relatively cold, but it's scenery make it a very nice city.
This one is a canvas covered in blue paint, then a clear gel medium. When the medium was partially dry I make imprints of gears and other industrial do-dads. Once it was all dried out I dobbed and rubbed the textured canvas with blue, purple and green paints.
I feel like it still needs more, but I havent decided how to finish it yet. I think maybe a quote or line art picture over the top, or coats of yellow ocre, sienna, and orange paints leaving only the "cool"colors in the impressions and the warms on the high areas
I read where someone thought that a family of squirrels was living inside her impression cylinder. Same goes for mine. After they vacated, I cleaned it without using any liquids. I fashioned a long-handled brush and gently loosened the grime. Then I vacuumed. The brushes come in a three-pack: nylon, brass, and stainless steel bristles. For this job I used the stainless steel.

A vintage puzzle today: "Impressions of York" from the Clarendon series by Tower Press Jigsaws. We think this may be late 1950s or early 1960s. Amazingly only one piece was missing from this 1,000 piece puzzle - not bad for its age!
