Quante gocce di rugiada intorno a me,
cerco il sole ma non c'è
Dorme ancora la campagna, forse no,
è sveglia, mi guarda, non so.
sale adagio verso me.
Quanto verde tutto intorno a ancor piú in là,
fuggito

Here's my entry for the July 17 - Aug 5 "Nautical/Beach" Challenge at Impression Obsession (mitrafriant.typepad.com/) and mitrafriant.typepad.com/impression_obsession_news/2014/07...
I wanted to make this great nautical quote by Mark Twain the focus of my card. I made a water-colour background with various ocean colours of Distress Ink on a craft sheet and then over-stamped with the Rolling Waves (CC123) cover-a-card background. I also stamped the word "dream" from the "Imagine Words" (3015-SM) cling set to echo the sentiment and - using a stamp positioner and carefully inking individual letters from other words in that set - stamped words such as "sails" and "sailing".
My card uses the following Impression Obsession stamps: -
Cover-a-card Rolling Waves CC123
Imagine Words 3015-SM
Bowlines D13011
Sketchy Chevron Border D13123
Inks etc - Distress Inks, Hero Arts Shadow Inks, Simon Says Stamp Inks, Faber-Castell Big White Stampers Pen, washi tape.
Stencil - TCW mini Well Rounded

Duck tracks on a sand bar in the Chena River, Fairbanks, Alaska. I was walking home along the Chena River Trail and decided to sit for a while along the sandy shoreline on this beautiful, sunny fall afternoon. Looking at the sun, tracks and glistening water reminded me how fleeting summer is in Alaska's interior where the snow and cold of winter usually take hold by mid October. I am learning not to take even one moment of this short but glorious season for granted.

I'm torn about whether to write about an image like this.
I think I'd rather let the picture speak for itself.
The Monet's Water Garden display at the Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay during Impressions of Monet.
For this hat, I was inspired by the paintings of the Impressionist artists. I love their boldness and use of colors. The flower on this hat is definitely bold and will make an impression!
