Impossible Black & White
This is certainly a milestone release from The Impossible Project Tokyo (way to go Japan!). PX 600 Silver Shade UV+ BLACK FRAME edition and GREY FRAME edition is now available at all city'super and LOG-ON (except city'super IFC).
For months I kept the excitement and my mouth shut until the above POP arrived us for in-store usage, I was deeply thankful for Impossible Tokyo's support, you can see the details they crafted into the decoration, and I hate to say that I had to take the above photo offline after a few hours of posting it, because it hinted these two B&W treasures before their time to be known. For this, I apologize to TIP.
Now back in the end of January when I was in Tokyo visiting TIP gallery store with Mijonju, Impossible Tokyo mastermind Jun Akaike showed us what were to come and we were speechless. A PX 600 film in high contrast black and white wrapped with a very cool black frame!
Just don't mind the "mushroom" and "loose lamination problem" you see in these prototype films, coz they won't happen in the production versions. The images this film produces are simply stunning, comparing to the previous TIP films. They also brought back the familiar 600 film image softness and your excitement when the film is developed.
Check out this flickr set to see more images and the photo of the Tokyo gallery store. I shall be shooting these films in a few hours myself, will be exciting to share.

Pakistan struggling at 80-4 chasing England's huge total in the Women's ODI cricket game. Worcester Cathedral makes a great backdrop at the New Road ground.
I don't really like aubergines but when I saw this on the shelf in the shop I had to buy it merely as a photographic subject!

“It’s impossible,” said pride. “It’s risky,” said experience. “It’s pointless,” said reason. “Give it a try,” whispered the heart.
2007 Dallas White Rock Marathon
Half Marathon Elite Runners. Taken between mile 2 & 3.
Notice the yellow running shoes.
The shoe is called the Stinger, made by an El Paso company called Spira, and it was impossible to miss at Sunday's White Rock events. Five of the top six finishers in the men's half marathon and three of the top five in the women's half marathon were wearing Stingers, including both winners. The runners-up in both marathons were also in Stingers.
But those shoes were illegal for Sunday's races.
The shoe contains springs in its sole designed to cushion shock and speed recovery time for long-distance runners. But according to USA Track and Field rules, springs are not allowed in shoes for sanctioned races such as White Rock, and the international track federation has not approved the Stinger for competition.

This is a really cool one, if you look close you can see people in wheel-chairs. The boat was designed for those that had a disability, but still wanted to sail. Here is a news story on it:

I swear, I am having TOO MUCH FUN with Bighugelabs.com!
This is something that required a LOT of creative licensing, mainly because information was never given in the original Impossibles cartoon, especially when I wrote my take on their origin (because there WASN'T an origin story). They never gave us their real names, how they got their powers, or the organization they worked for. So, I filled in the blanks with my own imagination, and it is NOT to be taken as official canon.
In any case, this is Multi Man's ID badge for the Secret Security Headquarters. The birth year on this card just basically comes from the fact that the cartoon debuted in 1966, and if he were 16 in 1966 . . . . . well, you get the idea. His real name, his birthday, his age, and his eye color are what I made up. Though I couldn't come up with a story on how why I chose the name I did, even if I tried!
And as far as eye color is concerned, I just couldn't resist that little thing in the parentheses because we just can not even SEE his eyes!
The number on the bottom of the card, by the way, is his serial number.
