Happy Saturday

I am the desert sun
The ever endless sea
Not a drop of blue or white
Is where it shouldn't be
I'm a wheel going round
In a mirror house
I made no way out
But you have feels about
Holding on
To everything has come and gone
I need distraction
Gimme up from in between
Everything I've ever seen
Don't be long
I'm no beginner
I'll be here every night
My name up in lights
The impossible winner
I am the wilderness
Dark end of the street
Coast of infinity
Far as I can see
I'm a white noise, son
Thorn upon a thorn
But when that whips around
No part of any storm
Holding on
To everything that has come and gone
I need distraction
Gimme up from in between
Everything I've ever seen
Don't be long
I'm no beginner
I'll be here every night
My name up in lights
The impossible winner
Drag my body through the sand
Drag my body down the road
Drag me up to the air
Turn around
Here I am
Drag me down, down low
Down, down small
Makes no difference
Turn around
Here I am
Holding on
To everything that's come and gone
I need distraction
Gimme up from in between
Everything I've ever seen
Don't be long
I'm no beginner
I'll be here every night
My name up in lights
The impossible winner
Salyx, thinking...
She was wondering what camouflage, tools and equipment she would need in order to scale the eight foot, wrought iron bird feeders we’ve erected in the garden.
She knows it’s impossible.

The typical houses of the Ribeira of Porto, in a nonexistent perspective created as fusion of several images (one for each house façade) taken from ground level and always maintaining the focus plane parallel to itself, to ensure maximum resolution from left to right edge. It seems impossible that I took this shot this morning at about 10,000 ft. on the Grand Mesa of Colorado. Look at all that gold! AUTUMN has hit the high country!
This is one of the most famous vistas in the world and it is truly one of the most impossible to photograph. That may sound like a bit of a dumb statement considering how beautiful it is and that you have a very nice flat viewing platform with which to enjoy it. The reason that I say this is because the landscape is so incredible that no photograph will ever truly do it justice. It is a place that you have to experience for yourself. The second reason that I named this image "Impossible" is because in truth this isn't a place that magically formed over billions of years worth of random collisions and dramatic weather events and climate change. When you actually take a moment to just sit and look at this place and drive into the valley while viewing the towering granite peaks and roaring waterfalls all around you, it is clearly evident that there is so much intentionality in this place. See, catastrophic weather events can certainly create some beautiful things, but they cannot do so on their own accord. A flood may have power, but it does not have creativity, precision, intellect, or love. Rather a loving Creator is continually creating even while using broken things and catastrophic events to create something infinitely more beautiful than random chance could ever accomplish. If we actually take a moment to take in the beauty of creation all around us, it is extremely evident that there is a highly intelligent, insanely creative, and unimaginably powerful Creator behind all of this. His name is Jesus!

Pareidolia gone nuts? I was lucky that I still had the package of walnut halves that I'd bought for the "In Ice" theme (please see the first comment). So I thought I'd continue that story: a "brain", finally freed from the restrictions of its former ice skull housing – what would it do? I think it would begin to curiously discover its new world, discover its own intellect (without the interfering thoughts of its previous owner) – much like a child that grows up and gets more and more independent, and has an enormous hunger for knowledge, but also for mischief and fun :) My first idea was to make a pair of glasses for the brain / walnut; I thought I'd use jewellery wire for it, but then I looked at the small walnut halves and the thin wire, and thought: impossible! Unachievable! Too difficult for my clumsy hands! Well, I might have given it a (most likely unsuccessful) try, but went looking for nuts in the toolbox instead, nuts small enough to serve as eyes. So may I introduce you to Frankie, the brain that set out to conquer the macro world – but should adjust its eyes first :)
Happy Macro Monday, Everyone, stay safe and healthy!
Well my dear MM-friends, I really tried to make a macro of this wonderful cheese inside of the trap, but only a second later
- I swear - I only was able to photograph those crumbs of it. So it was truly not my default .. the mouse must be an „Ethan Hunt“ of the mice .. or something like that 😉
Oh, I hear something?
All my pictures of MM you will find in my album Macro Mondays

remember how it used to be
when the sun would fill up the sky
remember how we used to feel
those days would never end
those days would never end
remember how it used to be
when the stars would fill the sky
remember how we used to dream
those nights would never end
those nights would never end
it was the sweetness of your skin
it was the hope of all we might have been
that fills me with the hope to wish
impossible things
but now the sun shines cold
and all the sky is grey
the stars are dimmed by clouds and tears
and all i wish
is gone away
all i wish
is gone away
all i wish
is gone away
*many thanks to my dear friend Tre Meldazis, that allowed me to work in this peaceful and gorgeous SIM to take the pic :)

The weight of the world is on her shoulders as she wanders the world.
Culture and tradition is lost. Only shambles remain on the graves of the past. On the verge of being forgotten. Not even the bedtime stories remain. It's baffling on why they seized to allow it's memory to linger.
However, there is a spark of hope that remains.
"Why are you still fighting? Is it really worth it all?"
"I will not allow our legacy to die."
"But they don't remember... It's fading."
"Not as long as I breathe. I will preserve our history."
"You are delusional and alone."
She lifted her head up, hazel brown eyes glistening in the setting sun. Her lips curled into a smirk.
"Am I really?"
Her katana was drawn, ready to continue the battle. A spark of light shimmered behind her. The sound of another katana being drawn. Similarly, multiple other blades being drawn could be heard as the wind grew stronger and yet it was just her standing there.
"...Impossible!"
"Nothing is impossible."
P.S. Sapphy had an idea and we did it! :D I'll share her version when she posts it!
just how the moon blooms
so quietly

Also impossible is keeping up here... For now I can only keep up with those who comment and those I follow. I'm truly sorry not to be able to be reciprocal in all ways...but unfortunately I've yet to learn how to divide myself and multiply ;-) I appreciate every single person who stops to look. Much gratitude to all :-)
Then we boarded the train
that will lead us through the year 2017
No one knows what lies around the next bend
But whatever the starting point is, grab the days as well as possible.
See the possibilities rather than the limitations,
make the impossible possible.
Say that you love ....
Caring for others
Take a coffee break with a friend
Although you may not really have time
Say something positive to yourself every day,
and meet others with a smile and a positive word.
Take care of yourself
and others as well as you can;)
May our journey through the year 2017 be a nice trip for us all :)
I remember years ago Someone told me I should take, caution when it comes to love, I did, I did
And you were strong and I was not, My illusion, my mistake
I was careless, I forgot, I did, I did, And now, when all is done, there is nothing to say, You have gone and so effortlessly, You have won, you can go ahead, TELL THEM!
TELL THEM ALL I KNOW NOW!
SHOUT IT FROM THE ROOF TOPS!
WRITE IT ON THE SKY LINE!
ALL WE HAD IS GONE NOW!
TELL THEM I WAS HAPPY!
AND MY HEART IS BROKEN!
ALL MY SCARS ARE OPEN!
TELL THEM WHAT I HOPED WOULD,BEEEEEEEEEE!
IMPOSSIBLE!, IMPOSSIBLE!
Alpine Panorama, First, above the Bachsee. Canton of Bern. Switzerland. No. 8790.
"It's impossible to imagine the Swiss mountain world as more idyllic than the area surrounding Lake Bachalpsee. The snow-covered peaks of the Alps are reflected in the crystal clear blue water.
First is the starting point for hikes and it offers action: An adrenaline rush and speed thrills are guaranteed on the First Flyer, trottibike scooters or bikes. Children can have fun on the 700-m² playground at the Bort intermediate station."
Die obere Bergstation heisst ebenfalls First (2'167 m ü.

The Old Man of Storr, on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, is so abundantly photographed that it may seem impossible to find new angles or views to capture. A short hike from my camp site provided this beautiful early evening shot.
The ancient hill fort wall of Dun Gerashader echoing the distant prominent spike of The Old Man himself. I'm no landscape photographer, otherwise I would have been better prepared for this shot, but my 200mm telephoto and monopod was sufficient for a single shot image.
Cropped and re-edited with some light colour grading and a reminder to myself of a wonderful but brief holiday on The Isle of Skye just last year. Enjoy!

In the harsh, sepia sun of Cherishville Summer, this isn't just a daring mid-air rescue—it's a vow kept. I am Ethan Hunt, pushing the limits not for duty, but for love. The enemy is near, but my gaze is only on her. Suspended by faith and sheer will from a racing biplane, every muscle strains as I reach for the hand of my beloved, stolen away by dark forces. It’s a moment on the precipice of life and death, where the impossible is the only chance we have.

What's the best part about hiking The Narrows on Thanksgiving day? We had the canyon almost entirely to ourselves. Trying to take photos without someone in your shot is nearly impossible during summer.

If the Lincoln Memorial had been built during colonial times perhaps the milky way would have been visible. To be sure it is there every night but with all the light pollution it is entirely invisible today.
I was wondering what it might look like and I have to admit it is kind of colorful. What do you think?
These Blue Morpho Butterflies are just as beautiful with their wings closed as with them open... hopefully tomorrow I'll post one of them so you can see what I'm talking about :)
The Butterfly Conservatory at Niagara Falls was amazing.. so many different species of butterflies just flitting past our heads in all directions... trying to get one in flight was near impossible though, so I was patient and waited for them to land. Unfortunately, as soon as they landed, most of them closed their wings again!!! aarrgghh
Anyway, it was a terrific experience, and as much as I enjoyed the waterfall, it's worthwhile if you're visiting the area, to do this too :) :)
Thank you for the views, comments and faves :)
Hope you all had a lovely weekend.. we had lots of wind and rain, and I have a feeling there's more to come, plus to add to it, I have a dentist appointment this morning... Don't you just love Mondays!!
Have a good one ;-)
