El embalse del Tajo de la Encantada está situado a la salida del Tajo, en el Chorro, en el municipio malagueño de Álora, donde la Compañía Hidroeléctrica ha implantado una de las centrales hidroeléctricas reversibles más grandes de España, el Tajo de la Encantada.
Este embalse se diseñó con dos embalses a distinto nivel, unidos por una gran conducción. En el situado en la cota inferior existen varias turbinas generadoras de electricidad que se hacen funcionar con la presión del agua que proviene del vaso superior, Presa de Villaverde, cercana a las Ruinas de Bobastro.
Durante las noches, las turbinas se convierten en motores de impulsión y el agua del vaso inferior se bombea al superior. Al día siguiente, el proceso vuelve a empezar desaguando el agua bombeada.

Regard sur les quartiers de Liévin.
Dès 1550 on mentionnait une chapelle dédiée à la Vierge, mais la tradition populaire rapporte que le premier édifice aurait été construit par un ermite. Raconté l’histoire de cette chapelle serait trop long. Devant l’intérêt historique de ce site qui a rythmé la vie des Liévinois durant des siècles, le Conseil Municipal de Liévin sous l’impulsion de M. Jean-Pierre Kucheida a décidé de réédifier la chapelle. La construction s’élève sur son implantation originelle, dans le bois de Riaumont. Le style, l’architecture et les coloris ont pu être reconstitués grâce aux vestiges archéologiques découverts sue ce site.
Le 9 mai 2010 ? la chapelle Notre Dame de grâce fut inaugurée et bénie en présence de M. Jean-Pierre Kucheida, Maire de Liévin, Député du Pas-de-Calais et de Monseigneur Jean-Paul Jaeger, Evêque d’Arras, de Boulogne et de Saint-Omer.

Another image of the female Roe Deer I saw on Salisbury Plain back in August. The image was made from a burst of shots taken when I first spotted her. Apologies for the similarity to a previous posting - though her ears are in different positions and some of the flies have gone from her face!
I had been so hopeful I'd be able to spend a lot more time watching/photographing her from my car. Engine off, camera on silent, (as always) and me hardly daring to breathe. I waited for her to settle and move about, giving different views of herself. Simultaneously, a trail bike appeared from nowhere and roared towards me in a plume of dust.
I'm sure you can guess what the doe did, and it wasn't hang around.

Le lieu symbolique d’implantation appelait un geste architectural fort, d’où l’idée de CoopHimmelb(l)au de répondre au projet culturel du musée par la combinaison de trois unités architecturales : le Cristal, le Nuage et le Socle.
Le cristal
Le Cristal, d’une surface de 1 900 m², est l’espace dédié à l’entrée du public et à la circulation des visiteurs. Sous ses 33 mètres de verrière, c’est le lieu des rencontres et des échanges, qui permet d’accéder au Nuage. Tour de force architectural, le Puits de Gravité sert d’appui central pour soutenir les structures métalliques et stabilise le Cristal.
The symbolic place of implantation called for a strong architectural gesture, from which CoopHimmelb's (1) idea was to respond to the cultural project of the museum by combining three architectural units: the Crystal, the Cloud and the Socle.
The crystal
The Crystal, with a surface area of 1,900 m², is the space dedicated to public entry and visitor traffic. Under its 33 meters of glass, it is the place of meetings and exchanges, which allows access to the Cloud. Architectural tour de force, the Gravity Well serves as a central support to support the metal structures and stabilizes the Crystal.

Walking around Brockton MA, overwhelmed with memories from my youth. Spotted this old tricycle and immediately identified with it as maybe something from those old days, but then noticed the "Made in China" stamp, so it was an item manufactured to imitate some vintage object, and yet it too is rusting and unusable. Even our prefab fake memories are getting long in the tooth.

This one is extra special as its level of light transmission is so good and the patterns contained within are beautiful.
An idea came to me whilst watching a music video from Thom Yorke where his face is superimposed on a very android, humanoid form whilst it explores a Martian terrain.
I needed a bit of help from Lauren in firing the shutter and turning off the kitchen light before the exposure started. This ensured my hand position was bang on.
That was on tripod 1 with the Nikon 20mm on the camera. Tripod and lens swap to the Minolta 50mm on the macro tubes. Pointing at the PCB, under-lit by a torch so as to just illuminate the area of the board which I though looked best.
Looked better in mono and so it was.

Microchip implant in humans have raised new ethical discussions by scientific professional forums, academic groups, human rights organizations, government departments and religious groups. L’implantation de cet édifice, sur une légère pente, au bord d’un plateau calcaire, n’est pas due au hasard.
Au nord, la défense est assurée par le relief naturel.
Le château surplombe un profond vallon, face aux buttes de Montjustin et du Mont Gedry.
Du haut des tours, vers le septentrion, la vue porte au‑delà de la plaine de Lure jusqu’aux formes arrondies des ballons vosgiens. Elle est limitée, au midi, par les premiers contreforts du Jura.
Au sud, un profond fossé entaille le plateau, atteignant par endroits dix mètres de profondeur et près de vingt mètres de largeur. Le creusement de celui-ci a fourni la pierre nécessaire aux premières constructions, gros appareil de couleur ocre jaune est encore visible à la base des murs ; ce fossé constituait un obstacle difficilement franchissable, et c’est en longeant celui-ci que l’on apprécie le mieux la masse imposante des fortifications.
Certaines portions des murailles présentent, à l’extérieur, une base élargie en forme de talus. À l’entrée, le fossé a été comblé pour faciliter le passage.

Two weeks ago I had two cardiac surgical procedures. I was on the operating table for four hours.
The first procedure was an atria flutter ablation to kill the misfiring cells in the upper atrial chambers that were making my heart race at about 107 beats per second (BPS.). The operation was successful. However, when the lower chambers took over, the pulse was weak, only 20 BPS. A second surgical procedure was needed to implant a pacemaker.
Fortunately this second procedure was also successful.
I have almost recovered completely. My heart rate in bed is about 60 BPS. When moving around or sitting, my heart rate is about 72 BPS.
I am very lucky. Praise The Lord🙏 And Pass The Ammunition🚀

I'm SUPER EXCITED for this release! For the past month or so, I have been experimenting with Blender and some other programs, taking a lot of time to try and learn how to make mesh items and I am still continuing to learn. I have made several practice items and wanted to finally make something final. And here it is! Not only that, but I also learned how to make a texture changing hud as well! Its a rather simple mesh item, but I feel like I have made a lot of progress. ❤
