L’implantation de cet édifice, sur une légère pente, au bord d’un plateau calcaire, n’est pas due au hasard.
Au nord, la défense est assurée par le relief naturel.
Le château surplombe un profond vallon, face aux buttes de Montjustin et du Mont Gedry.
Du haut des tours, vers le septentrion, la vue porte au‑delà de la plaine de Lure jusqu’aux formes arrondies des ballons vosgiens. Elle est limitée, au midi, par les premiers contreforts du Jura.
Au sud, un profond fossé entaille le plateau, atteignant par endroits dix mètres de profondeur et près de vingt mètres de largeur. Le creusement de celui-ci a fourni la pierre nécessaire aux premières constructions, gros appareil de couleur ocre jaune est encore visible à la base des murs ; ce fossé constituait un obstacle difficilement franchissable, et c’est en longeant celui-ci que l’on apprécie le mieux la masse imposante des fortifications.
Certaines portions des murailles présentent, à l’extérieur, une base élargie en forme de talus. À l’entrée, le fossé a été comblé pour faciliter le passage.
L’ensemble fortifié est constitué de deux enceintes accolées : la basse cour et la haute cour.

Dès 1550 on mentionnait une chapelle dédiée à la Vierge, mais la tradition populaire rapporte que le premier édifice aurait été construit par un ermite. Raconté l’histoire de cette chapelle serait trop long. Devant l’intérêt historique de ce site qui a rythmé la vie des Liévinois durant des siècles, le Conseil Municipal de Liévin sous l’impulsion de M. Jean-Pierre Kucheida a décidé de réédifier la chapelle. La construction s’élève sur son implantation originelle, dans le bois de Riaumont. Le style, l’architecture et les coloris ont pu être reconstitués grâce aux vestiges archéologiques découverts sue ce site.
Le 9 mai 2010 ? la chapelle Notre Dame de grâce fut inaugurée et bénie en présence de M. Jean-Pierre Kucheida, Maire de Liévin, Député du Pas-de-Calais et de Monseigneur Jean-Paul Jaeger, Evêque d’Arras, de Boulogne et de Saint-Omer.

Le lieu symbolique d’implantation appelait un geste architectural fort, d’où l’idée de CoopHimmelb(l)au de répondre au projet culturel du musée par la combinaison de trois unités architecturales : le Cristal, le Nuage et le Socle.
Le cristal
Le Cristal, d’une surface de 1 900 m², est l’espace dédié à l’entrée du public et à la circulation des visiteurs. Sous ses 33 mètres de verrière, c’est le lieu des rencontres et des échanges, qui permet d’accéder au Nuage. Tour de force architectural, le Puits de Gravité sert d’appui central pour soutenir les structures métalliques et stabilise le Cristal.
The symbolic place of implantation called for a strong architectural gesture, from which CoopHimmelb's (1) idea was to respond to the cultural project of the museum by combining three architectural units: the Crystal, the Cloud and the Socle.
The crystal
The Crystal, with a surface area of 1,900 m², is the space dedicated to public entry and visitor traffic. Under its 33 meters of glass, it is the place of meetings and exchanges, which allows access to the Cloud. Architectural tour de force, the Gravity Well serves as a central support to support the metal structures and stabilizes the Crystal.

Walking around Brockton MA, overwhelmed with memories from my youth. Spotted this old tricycle and immediately identified with it as maybe something from those old days, but then noticed the "Made in China" stamp, so it was an item manufactured to imitate some vintage object, and yet it too is rusting and unusable. Even our prefab fake memories are getting long in the tooth.

Il y a 100 ans à peu près, le glacier arrivait jusqu'au temple d'Argentière (1 250 mètres) ; depuis quelques années, la langue terminale du glacier, qui s'étend encore jusque vers 1600 mètres, s'est séparée du reste du glacier vers l'altitude de 1900 mètres. La séparation est marquée par un rocher de plus de 200 m2 : la langue terminale n'est donc plus alimentée directement par le glacier principal, mais seulement par des chutes de séracs, ce qui met en péril sa pérennité. Cependant, une telle « coupure » s'était déjà produite au début du XXe siècle, mais s'était résorbée naturellement au fil des ans. Microchip implant in humans have raised new ethical discussions by scientific professional forums, academic groups, human rights organizations, government departments and religious groups. The Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs (CEJA) of the American Medical Association published a report in 2007 alleging that RFID implanted chips may compromise privacy because there is no assurance that the information contained in the chip can be properly protected, notwithstanding health risks (chips may travel under the skin).

Much like Amanda Waller's Suicide Squad tactics, they implanted an explosive within her skull, which can be detonated with a remote detonator. She is the one to supply N.E.M.O with their underwater gear. She's also given a spear gun, with a special targeting system, which is capable of piercing an Atlanteans thick skin. It would radiate a "corridor of concentric rings" which would encircle a given target, making them unable to move and avoid the spears. The rings could be electrically charged.She would eventually fall in love with fellow N.E.M.O member, Typhoon.

Backstory: One of the few members of N.E.M.O without enhancements, or powers in any way, and yet, still holds her own rather well against Atlanteans. She's the right hand of the Fisher King, with Manta being the left. Information that needs to be relayed to the Fisher King goes through her. She would help spring the Human Flying Fish from prison. During the fight against Atlantis, she would slit Dolphin's throat. Unfortunately for Black Jack, Dolphin would survive the attack. Many things would change after the invasion of Atlantis. For one thing, the Fisher King would be captured, and the original Black Manta would be killed. A new Black Manta would take his place. Initially it was hard for her to get along with this "pretender", especially with him becoming leader of N.E.M.O so quickly. But she stayed obedient, and eventually, he would gain her respect.

Backstory: From a fairly early age, Jackson wanted to follow in his fathers footsteps. His father truly cared for him, even though his hatred for Atlanteans got in the way at times. They were the ones behind the death of Kaldur's grandfather. As such, the original Black Manta wanted revenge. Jackson was sent in as a mole, to Atlantis, to learn everything he could about this nation under the seas, with plans to eventually destroy it completely. He managed to gain the trust of Orin, Mera, Garth, Dolphin and the other Atlanteans, going on many adventures with them. Kaldur'ahm was his cover, and he hated every minute he spent with them. He had the opportunity to kill Orin many times, but he bided his time, until his father, and his organization, N.E.M.O, was ready to strike. The ensuing battle resulted in many casualties for both sides, one of which was Jackson's father. Only driving the wedge between Atlanteans and humans further, Jackson would take up his father's mantle as the Black Manta. When given the invitation to join the Injustice League, he joined without hesitation, seeing it as opportunity to finally kill the Aquaman.

Backstory: Kimon was a sea captain, that captured dolphins, among many other sea creatures for a Shinobi research center. This led to him encountering Aquaman for the first time. During the fight, Aquaman would free the creatures, one shark of which would bite off Kimon's left arm, leg, and eye. Before anyone else arrived, he would be taken by Black Manta to N.E.M.O's headquarters. He would receive cybernetic implants to replace the limbs that he lost. This would increase his strength and durability. Now owing N.E.M.O, he would continue to serve the Fisher King on missions, as Demon Gate

El pato capuchino (Anas versicolor), también conocido como cerceta capuchina, pato argentino o cerceta argentina, es una especie de ave anseriforme de la familia Anatidae propia de América del Sur.
Mide 30 cm. Corona y nuca oscuras, casi negras; pico azulado con amarillo a los costados; garganta y resto del cuello blancos amarillentos; pecho y flancos punteados o barrados de negro; dorso jaspeado más oscuro, cola y rabadilla batarazas, mancha alar verde rodeada de líneas blancas.
Por lo general en parejas o en grupos de no más de 5 ó 6 individuos. Esquivo, suele esconderse entre la vegetación antes de volar. Se mantiene alejado de otras especies de patos, se encuentra a gusto sobre postes de alambrado.
En pastos altos, lomas o pasturas implantadas hace una depresión pequeña en el suelo, muy prolija, donde pone alrededor de 6 a 10 huevos blancos cremosos.
