These Barbie shots are for a project at university. we got to chose a word at random and come up with imagery for it.
I chose the work Fantasy and looked into the pressure from the media on girls and women to look a certain way. The unrealistic body images that are portrayed in magazines and online have huge impacts on society and the way individuals feel about way they look.

The long story: When Chel was about 12 yrs old, the orthodontist discovered that her adult canine (still in the gum) was coming down sideways and, in the process, knocking out the roots of her adult incisors next to it. She immediately had to have oral surgery where they put a brace on the crazy canine (still inside her gum) with a chain attached to gradually pull it into the right place. The canine still however, destroyed the entire root of the adjacent incisor and half of the root on her front tooth. Both have been hanging by a thread for 8 years!

Meet Rolf Bucholz. For a photoshooting in Cologne for my music video "Keine Kunst" for the german band Pathos Legal I met with the most pierced man in the world! He also holds the world record for the most bodymodifications. With 453 piercings and two implanted horns on his forehead those two entries in the guiness book of world records is earned.
