I first saw this Imp belonging to a neighbour late last year. Back then it was complete but had been off-road for 30-odd years. I hadn't realised how well he was getting on with its restoration, it'll be great to see it on the road again.
General demeanor inspired by the demon Crowley. I need a swordless, ponchy, bibliophile angel to mess with. Oh yes. We'll get drunk and talk about dolphins.
The Imp was assembled at a purpose-built plant at Linwood, near Paisley, in the West of Scotland. It was built by the Rootes Group between 1963 and 1976 to compete with BMC's Mini.

I'm not sure if many Imps were sold with the Californian coupe bodystyle. It still has the single-carb engine (I believe the Sunbeam Stiletto had a more powerful twin-carb unit).

Meet our little Imp. He is 6 1/2 and it is wonderful to spend time with him when we do. He chatters non-stop, is interested in everything, will try anything. His whole personality is expressed in his eyes.
