A scanned family photo became a source of pop art. Threshold, selection and color fill are the primary techniques.
This slightly sharp image of an emerging Stokes Aster, from my Mom's garden called for a little extra 'treatment', as I liked it's lines and framing and colors. I decided to go with its strengths and make it all the softer.

Starting with an original photo, the patch tool was used to remove the digital camera's date/time stamp. Then various filters were applied.
This type of image manipulation is done by repeating a series of words over and over to create a beautiful effect. The words repeated here are a scripture verse from the bible.
A student combined scanned leaves with an original photo to create a sense of motion not present in the original image. The result is a beautiful image that takes viewers into their memories of rainy windy days.

I wanted to do a spacey one, and I had some weird text, but the teacher gave me this idea and I went and checked it out and then I deleted a few lame layers and finally ended up with this.
I like the outcome, we printed out a 11x14 poster of it... I think... i dont remember the size. its pretty colorful =]
For my Image Manipulation Midterm, I had to make a series of 5 postcards. The washed out ones are the final comp to be turned in. The theme is the juxtaposition of danger via 8bit characters to Los Angeles landmarks. The FP is the logo I made for my first project.
Part of the storyboard for part two of my digital image manipulation project. It's rather odd, as we have to work on it like it's an animation, although it's not. It has to be a minimum of ten images to a piece of music.
We do unlimited revisions until or unless the client is satisfied with the work and without
adding any cost for it.

When it comes to image manipulation Picnik does a great job...
Here I've used 'boost' and then brushed the figure back to 'original'. Then I 'vignetted' on 90% size with a milk chocolate brown choice of colour. The whole (rushed) process took under five minutes and makes for a much more interesting image.
