Sunshine is a 1-year-old rescued Chihuahua-terrier mix. “I think she has the bluest eyes I have seen,” says Wendy, her dog mom. “She was born deaf and I feel that has made her more loyal than most dogs, because she depends on me to be her ears.”
Jack was rescued from a shelter that had labeled him "unadoptable" because he is black and part Pit Bull. His pet parent Terry was looking for a playmate for his dog Bindi. “She was with us, and after watching her play with Jack for over an hour, we were hooked!” Terry said. “Jack is the sweetest, most affectionate dog ever! And SO smart. He never ceases to amaze us.”
Terry recently adopted two more shelter dogs, and the whole pack gets along great. “We are so thankful to everyone who didn't want Jack, because we have the most incredible dog now!” Terry said.

“When I found Leeloo as a puppy, she was such a mess, and her spirit was almost broken,” says her dog mom, Amy. At the time she adopted Leelo, Amy’s other dog, Dakota, was dying of cancer. “The minute I brought Leeloo home, she took care of Dakota and stayed by his side until he took his last breath.” Amy says Leeloo is the sweetest, funniest and most amazing dog she has ever known.

Nelson is a 9-month-old toy Poodle. “Nelson wakes me up every morning with kisses,” says his dog mom, Elizabeth. “He loves taking baths and is always trying to jump in the tub (even when it's empty).”
Cooper, a 2-year-old yellow Lab, had a rough start in life with stomach issues, but his dog dad Sid said he is doing much better now. In fact, Sid said Cooper is “developing into a beautiful vibrant young male that I think is half duck. I could not keep him out of the water if I tried. If we could get paid for playing, we'd be rich.”
Nibbles was confiscated from a home breeder last spring. “He was so traumatized by his sudden change of circumstances that he jumped out of the window at his foster home and was missing for three weeks in the woods of Vermont,” says his foster mom, Debbie. “He was trapped by an animal-control officer 30 miles from the home he fled, heading in the direction of his original home.”
Debbie says that “Nibs” is “playful, inquisitive and eager to learn new tricks. I like Nibbles because he has a big dog attitude in a 12-pound dog body. I hope we can find an awesome forever home for him where he will get the adoration he deserves.”
