Our Daily Challenge: Surreal Changes
Today is Tom’s birthday. Normally we would go out to dinner to celebrate. Instead we had yummy birthday Quarantinis and then drove to one of our favorite restaurants to pick up our celebratory dinner.

In our time, Merton’s model of Christian living has provided a helpful clue in my own understanding of what it means to follow the holy Gospel of Jesus Christ by following in the footprints of Francis of Assisi. Imperfect as my ongoing and lifelong attempt to do this is, I am encouraged by Merton’s own struggles, successes, and journey. May you likewise find inspiration, challenge, and guidance in our deeper exploration of this part of Merton’s life, thought, and writings.

Whether the historicity of Francis’s stigmata can ever be verified in an apodictic way or not is really of little importance, but the continued value of his pointing us toward a lifestyle that might bring us to a place where such an overwhelming mystical experience of the Divine can change our whole lives forever is key.

Taken 14 June with iPhone 11 Pro Max in slow motion mode (240fps). Several flashes lasted more than a second in real time.
Note the flash that revealed mammatus clouds. Seems like from another planet.

This lawn ornament purveyor and an auto body shop were operating next to the Warm Springs BART station when we first moved here. I meant to take a better picture of this shop sometime, but before I got around to it they closed and the whole lot turned into a site for new development.
Aye, I Eye Fish View Without Fish Eye View In Clear Water Not In Clearwater - IMRAN™
I just love how clear the water in Tampa Bay is at my blessed home in Florida. Enjoy the sea, sand, sky, boats, homes, horizon, and fish, all in this one minute video. It is almost the innermost "corner" of Tampa Bay furthest from the perfectly clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico and especially Clearwater, Florida, many miles away in the direction of the camera view. Even looking through a not very clear window, even from nearly 75 feet away, even on a not very bright day, even with just an iPhone camera, even with digital zoom that reduces image quality, you will see why I say, "Aye, I Eye Fish View Without Fish Eye View In Clear Water Not In Clearwater!"

A record shot really but never seen folks swimming in the car park at Blakeney !!
But to be fair to them it was very early in the morning and the tide was rapidly sending them backwards despite being strong swimmers - they had to edge into the flooded car park to make headway with the high tide.
They intend to swim everyday till Christmas in the sea but came to Blakeney as the sea was too rough where they normally go.
Shot taken at 6:42 am , 18/9/2020.
Life has been a difficult struggle recently. No motivation or strength for anything , even photography which is my favourite hobby.
Anyway having just had a new phone and out with my fiance Sara I spotted this beautiful bloom. As I stood and looked it stood out somewhat from the rest. Now that I am beginning to feel better in myself I believe we are all beautiful and deserve to bloom and stand out in someway, just as this bloom did to me.
We are all worthy of this in our life. So I pulled out my phone and took the shot ☺️
