Our Daily Challenge: Powerful
The power of a suggestion!
And so it begins. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned “wouldn’t it be nice if we had a pergola off one Mom’s bedroom on the side of our house.” Tom thought that it was a great idea, and today he started the preliminary work.

First one of these I’ve seen in a long time. We have always called them June bugs or June beetles, but their actual name is Cotinis nitida. They can be fairly destructive, but I don’t think there is an abundance of them around here, so I let him go his merry way. (He may have actually been brought in with the storm yesterday.)

Believe me - this is a 3 second hand held exposure with Spectre app software on an iPhone 11 Max Pro! The app is amazing!
Fashion Show Mall, Las Vegas Strip. Before mall opening, the main lighting was off, the place was dim, and they were stringing up the Christmas lights.
Our Daily Challenge: Black
My Mom passed away recently, and I am going through her house. Occasionally I find little gems like this image of Mom and Dad. I like this image even though it depicts them smoking albeit in an artful manner.

Empire State Building Lights Up Night Sky As Backdrop To Madison Square Park Fountain In Golden Glow Of Manhattan Desire Filled Night -- IMRAN™
I was tempted to title this "Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil" a "non-fiction novel" bestseller and movie (which I did not much care for. But I did not want to have any negative vibes around this beautiful spot in my always American home, Manhattan.
Even in the hustle bustle of the city that never sleeps, I love being able to find just the briefest moment with no people in the frame to interfere with capturing a golden moment. The Empire State Building's lights filling the light-pollution and smartphone camera digital-noise, are the vivid backdrop to the dark and lit green tree leaves behind the Madison Square Park fountain bathing itself in waters tinged gold by the ambient light. A buzzing spot seemingly welcoming secluded intimacy in the heart of a city of 10 million beating hearts. Can you feel the quiet energy?
