The lines, shapes, textures, shadow and contrast simply caught my eye so I photographed it…simple as that.

I ran away from home again yesterday and went for a drive across the state and up around and all over. The Great Lakes always offer nice photo ops no matter what time of year.
I have a tendency to migrate to this place quite often.
Pano view of Yankee Meadow Reservoir, near Panguich, UT. Devastation by the Pine Bark Beetle is everywhere in this region.

These clouds would last for a while then vanish only to return again and again. Winds at the surface were light until the hour they finally disappeared for good. Then winds were gusting to 40 mph.

Tiny bubblegum eggs, bought at a post-Easter candy clearance sale. The whole container is only 3 inches long. I bought them specifically to photograph. Aren't they pretty? I also like the way the light came through the container. :) One photo a day.(148/366) -- May 27, 2020

Ponderosa Pine Puzzle Bark - A treat to see such a fine composition of nature with the mysterious bark pattern of a Ponderosa Pine, Prescott, Arizona.
Thunderset=Thunderstorm at Sunset. Looking east, events this evening would be of epic proportions. Lightning was one of the best displays that I have seen in several decades!

Taken 16Dec, 10 minutes before sunrise. Nice example of mock suns within a nice fire sky. Temperature 25F.
Panorma of the boathouse at Thornham at low tide. A delightful location not far from Hunstanton and the first time I have visited it. It is a pretty big file size at some 36Mb created in my iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Despite many walkers on the Sunday lunch time I managed to capture the image with no one in view as they must have all departed on their Norfolk Coastal Path route before the next group of folks arrived !!
This lower level cloud formed just minutes earlier, as rainfall saturated and cooled the air. I haven't noticed this degree of cloud formation before. Taken 3 July with iPhone 11 Pro Max.
I believe this could be considered a small stratus fractus cloud?
Taken 23 May. Looking east, reports of 1.25 inches of rain were common. I only received 0.11 inch.

Night Runner 270 LED lights attached by the laces to Keen sandals. Forward visibility of about 75 feet. Rear facing red lenses can be seen by others a half mile behind I’ve been told.
Happy Sliders Sunday Everyone!!!

Now that Christmas is finally packed and put away, the retail armies are already gearing up for Easter with themed decorations and useless knick-knacks. Spend, spend, spend! One photo a day. (30/366) Bayside, NY -- January 30, 2020
