I took the day off to visit with a friend and her new baby, but our schedules didn't mesh. So I went to the Canoe with the Canoers, came home and rescued a baby bird, went to lunch with Cheri Z. at Clementine, saw my man Winston (who gave me a fab book), and had a voice lesson. Full day!
The boys were here briefly; Serena babysat and took them to see Iron Man 3. Eutaw (l) liked #1 best and said Iron Man 3 was better than #2. Cylas said he preferred #2 and liked #3 least.
Kids today.
4:30am eyeballing the hallway from a crack in the hospital room door, deliriously wishing we were in a Chinese restaurant instead!
I did some housecleaning today, but Spring Fever soon had me out & about. I am so blessed to live in the valley.
I'm claiming this as my start point from Workington, I arrived from home by bus, not the quickest form of transport but by a long way the cheapest and greenest too. Alas no toilet in the Workington bus station so I hotfooted it down here to use the BR facilities. The Walk heads off right over the bridge but I took a wander round the harbour to see the monument to Mary Queen of Scots.
Madison, Wisconsin
100 + people dressed as Santa roamed the streets of Madison together last night.
It was a very demented experience. But pleasingly so.
I wore a red-sequined evening gown. And rode my bike.
The thing I enjoyed most happened as I was en route to meet up with the rest of the gang. A mom turned to her kid as I rolled past them on The Square and said: "Look, there goes Santa!"
I have been ill the past few days, but acutely so since yesterday. Nothing new, just the usual periodic sinus infection. I forced myself to cook even though I'm still weak. No way was I going to let all this food go to waste. It was good and I have leftovers too.

Lego model of Bugs Bunny built entirely from basic LEGO bricks. A follow up to my model of Ernie and Bert.
Some plates would have really helped around the eyes and ears, but the idea was to capture the essence rather than achieve total realism. I got the idea from a t-shirt I saw with a heavily pixelated image, and thought that would be awesome in Lego.

Something inside me has caused me to become in a shooting frenzy. I get a wave of inspiration and it bubbles up and erupts like a volcano inside me, I can't stop it and I'm not sure I want to.
Today, as every new years day, I went to my grandparents farm and I looked in this barn and just knew I had to try to do a levitaiton. My thoughts were racing, telling myself that I can be impulsive, that photography can include some images without planning.
This is going to be a year of great changes. I can't wait.
I think overcast skies and the threat of rain kept a lot of people from coming out with their vehicles.

On my way home from work, I was trying to chase the sunset; trying to get to a clearing to get a good shot, and of course got stuck at a light. On this flat island unless your on the beach it's hard to capture the actual sun as it sets, too much of man's progress is in the way.

Att fånga fåglar som alltid är i rörelse såvida de inre sover är en utmaning. Temat oskarp är därför passande för rörelsebilder:)
Sedan augusti 2015 deltar skolorna i Borrby, Gärsnäs, S:t Olof och Kivik i Skolverkets satsning Läslyftet. Alla elever på de deltagande skolorna är med, alltså även de elever som är nyanlända och de som går i t ex A-klass. Satsningen kommer till att börja med pågå under läsåret 2015/16.
Precis som namnet antyder handlar läslyftet bland annat om att vi ska hjälpa våra barn och ungdomar att bli skickliga läsare och upptäcka nyfikenheten och glädjen i att läsa skönlitteratur. Men det handlar minst lika mycket om att de mer generellt ska utveckla sitt språk och sin förmåga att kommunicera så att de lättare kan förstå information, informera andra, uttrycka åsikter, diskutera och på andra sätt delta aktivt i samhället och yrkeslivet.
Det handlar alltså om att eleverna ska utveckla sin läsförståelse och skrivförmåga, men också om språket i stort, att de ska utveckla sitt ordförråd, sin förmåga att uttrycka sig tydligt, att vara källkritisk, att lita till sin kompetens, att våga uttrycka sina åsikter och tro på att man kan ha inflytande.
Not writing to you of course. I love you. But all this research to get all these dates and times right. And Kerry keeps coming in here and hollering "Clean up those Bills. Get that stuff in the mail. Get those Fancy Feast can off my desk!!" Well maybe she's a human and works in overdrive 22 hours a day - but I'm a cat and I need my relaxing time. have I got some ideas about how to clean up all this office mess !!!

Several months ago, KCRW's Good Food did a segment on absinthe which made me start thinking about a spring garden party to sample it. She mentioned a particular brand, which I scrawled in a Grass Stain Green Field Notes Book, and today it paid off. Browsing the miniatures at the liquor store for treasures to sample, I immediately recognized this bottle as the brand I'd noted.

La historia de esta conservera llega hasta finales del pasado siglo XX. A lo largo de este tiempo comercializaron gran variedad de productos: sardinas en aceite, calamares en su tinta, anchoas, atún, etc con diferentes marcas como: Kayrel, La Cosmopolite, Delfín, Cormorán, Gaviota, etc.
En la planta baja del museo se permite tomar fotos, sin utilizar el flash.
