Out early photographing one of my favourite women of the Eastern Cape, Trudy Thomas of the Loaves and Fishes network and the Premier of the Eastern Cape. Here I am having breakfast at one of my favourite places, The Roxy
Title: I see.... Unfortunately this wasp didn't see very well.
Canon 40D, Tamron 90mm w/ 50mm reversed + 3X UC filter, Custom light S2ube.
It's that time of year in Canada that the insects start to....... expire.
I was just outside on the balcony and found this wasp on it's last little surge and decided to immortalize it on Flickr.
Not such a wasted life after all.
:-)
I was taking photos of Swans & other birds, when this sweet Pigeon comes around to see what all the commotion was about down on the river!

For my friend Arifah Majid www.flickr.com/photos/arifahmajid/ welcome home soon :D
I'm really having fun with this month's alphabet challenge. It calls for one letter a day and today's letter is C.
On a totally unrelated subject, our country's pride, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao proved today that he is the undisputed king of boxing after knocking Ricky Hatton cold in the second round. Pacman is truly the people's Champ.
One of the last wild New York owls I had yet to photograph, I had been stalking this known Eastern Screech Owl (Megascops asio) location for nearly a year with no luck. Finally, this little one popped up and is nestling down for a long winter. On this day, he had popped up out of his hole to sun himself for warmth, yet--due to his terrific coloration--he remained almost invisible. These owls are common throughout the central and eastern United States, where they make use of almost any habitat type with trees, including suburbs. As long as a tree has a cavity, it is open for owlish business!
Somewhat fittingly, this first capture of a screech owl is also my first posting made from my new Canon 7D Mark II.
I love London and at night I think it is such a beautiful place there is nothing like, however as we all know London has been photograph so many times from so many different angles.
This time round I thought I would try something different and I thought I would bring along a little prop.
I placed my home made heart on the bottom of one of the light pillars and used my LED key light to light up the heart. Looking back on it now I wish I used a blue LED light on one side and red on the other side and left the middle white.
For some reason there was bright orange tint in the middle of the heart so I reduced the highlights and increased the whites to get rid of it…but when I did that I saw I got a little red border…so I went round the heart a little bit and increased the sharpness a bit too.

An image I took on Father's Day during a family walk up to Captain Cook's Monument, North Yorks. I'm still test driving my Reality So Subtle 6x12 so this iPhone pic will serve as a record until I develop the roll of film.
I love the mountain biker heading from the monument. If I recall correctly I managed to capture a couple map reading nearing the tree between the posts whilst the pinhole was making an exposure ;-)

Mona is the model here. I hope she wont be mad I edit her this way. I know she isnt really into being photograph unlike serena or wendy. haha... I find her more challenging to shoot that's all.
Location was in subiaco car park.
I always use Adobe Photoshop CS4 for this manipulation. Blindfold is photoshopped, tattoo, textures, the pistol and blood splash.

Yeah I am the young age of 46 today oh how I wish it was my 25th birthday instead,
This was taken last night by my phone camera and I am very pleased by how it came out. All I have to do now is get a nose job.....maybe not I can't do the whole pain malarkey!
This outfit has a slightly Arabic look and would really go well in a Bedouin tent. I might have to give that one a try in the summer.
...but will you ever see me?
Week 52...because I count down.
A couple of years ago, I started my second 52 weeks project and due to personal life and moving and all of that stuff, I didn't complete it. I thought this would be a good year to start a new one. To start something fresh.

I recently found myself buying music online for the first time, now that we can buy proper MP3s.
It's like we're living in the future or something.
So in honour of some 25 year old music, some bright colours.
When I walked around marrakech I saw a lot of postcards showing the famous Menara gardens. I thought it would be worth walking there..so I did a walk with nearly 40 degrees to those gardens and it was really dissapointing. The water was dirty and the place was all over with rubbish ..
I walked around and saw this little nice graffiti..who has probably written it for whom?
I watched this Cooper's Hawk for about 20 minutes trying to get a singing sparrow, he finally gave up.
i painted this one during a jam and competition on last sunday in budapest......

The Starfish-Author Unknown.
Once upon a time there was a wise man who used to go to the ocean to do his writing. He had a habit of walking on the beach before he began his work. One day he was walking along the shore. As he looked down the beach, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. He smiled to himself to think of someone who would dance to the day. So he began to walk faster to catch up. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young man and the young man wasn't dancing, but instead he was reaching down to the shore, picking up something and very gently throwing it into the ocean.
As he got closer he called out, "Good morning! What are you doing?" The young man paused, looked up and replied, "Throwing starfish in the ocean."
"I guess I should have asked, why are you throwing
starfish in the ocean?"
"The sun is up, and the tide is going out, and if I don't
throw them in they'll die."
"But, young man, don't you realize that there are miles and miles of beach, and starfish all along it. You can't possibly make a difference!"
The young man listened politely. Then bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the sea, past the breaking waves and said, "It made a difference for that one."

I have to break out of the beach series.......Portrait for a while.
I took this image just before a huge windstorm above the Wadden Sea in late fall. Only a couple of minutes later, the colours of the sky and the clouds had completely changed into a very dangerous looking black and grey, as you can see on the corresponding image (www.flickr.com/photos/moefadam/24287666906/in/datetaken-p...).
Check out my pictures other picture from the Wadden Sea aswell ;-)

Hold on, hold on.....
‘cause I’ve been where you are before,
And I have felt the pain of losing who you are,
And I have died so many times but I am still alive.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=53CNJnmFr5I
I believe if I’d knew where I was going
I’d lose my way
I believe that the words that he told you are not your grave
I know that we are not the weight of all our memories
I believe in the things that I am afraid to see
I believe in the lost possibilities you can’t see.
And I believe that the darkness reminds us where light can be.
I know that your heart is still beating, beating.
I believe that you fell so you can land next to me.
I believe that tomorrow is stronger than yesterday.
And I believe that your head is the only thing in your way.
I wish that you could see your scars are linked of beauty.
I believe that today it’s okay to be not okay.
This is not the end of me,
This is the beginning.
Hold on.....
