I learned my lesson! Sunday was set aside as a shopping day, but, to my disappointment, my wife's car wouldn't start again. I was dejected and thought I might have to sit at home for the day, but, unlike the previous week, my brain worked. I overcame my car-centric bias and I remembered that there's this little thing called metro that I ride to work everyday. There just happens to be a little mall just a few stops away.
It was off to see if I could find the jewelry my wife and I need for our upcoming gala event!

Okay. Before you read anything, CLICK L. I mean, really. This photo looks like crap on white, and it looks slightly less crappy on black. Don't you wanna get the full effect? The lightbox is like a beautifully dark cave intended for photo viewing. Use it.
I've wanted to do this photo for a few days now, and I finally got everything together to do it, but autofocus pooped out on me. So, this is like this, but I don't think I mind so much. It's kinda pleasant. But my body looks like a box, because that dress doesn't fit me correctly (and my other arm is there), and that weird puff thing over my butt should not be puffing up (it's tulle), and I can't decide if the power lines are workin for me or not. I really want a field.
P.S. Them colors are au naturel. No processing there, that's God's handiwork.
+ a bunch of crappy fun ones in comments.
Well, these are my wife's and my beach towel that we use when in sunny Florida accompanied by some lovely Gulf Coast shells.
Unfortunately, they are not used here in cold and wet Bonnie Scotland but hopefully we will be back on the beaches in our favourite place in the not too distant future!!

I said I'd get this done by the end of the week :D Anyways, sorry if the pic is a little blurry, I blame my phone .___. Good news though, with the money I've made from commissions you guys have been making, I bought a new camera and it should be coming in soon :D So as for updates on Gregor, I've added tally marks and made them as accurate as I could to the actual tally marks on Gregor, they're not random. I added the symbol on his chest plate as well as making the shoulder pads more accurate. Let me know what you guys think! If you fave, comment too please!
Oh, on another note, the prizes for my contest will be posted tonight.

Yes it is true, I have risen from the nearly dead.
Without getting to dramatic the 2nd covid shot
took me down a road I don't wish to follow ;-0-
Raging fever, uncontrollable tremors taking
me near delirium and unimageable confusion.
My teeth were chattering so hard I stuffed the
blanket into my mouth to prevent broken teeth.
Now I've had worse days but this one has wasted
Christmas eve, Christmas Day and nearly two days
after. During bouts of emotional disruption I started
planning a thank you letter to be sent up to china !
Something along these lines ---
"May The Blue Bird of Paradise
S#=T all over your fondest wishes !"
Well it sounded good when I was
putting it all together in my little
monkey brain, what say you ?
Now lets take a look at the positive
side of this mind boggling quandary.
In my possession is a brand new covid vaccine passport.
This allows me to enter most anywhere here in Thailand.
No# 1 has been taken out to the nuns place.
They have called her everyday with great
concerns for Uncle Jon. Today they have
a bunch of local fruit they are sending
to me for a fast and speedy recovery.
Speaking of food ---
I know this is happening all around the world
but no# 1 came back from the morning market
with only a tiny bag of vegetables. What in the
past cost 50 or 60 cents [USD} now cost $2.50!
Looks like I need to start on a new
"thank you mr blue bird letter"
Who would I send it to ?
With all that being said we are still
the same same people looking
after the same same dogs ;-)
And ya know what ?
Get ready for the ride cuz a New Year
is coming and it's just around the corner.
Thank You.

Love is like the open sea, and I wish you were here with me.
I heard this song for the first time today driving with Mikey and I fell in love with it. <3 I wanted to use it for this photo. I had nothing like this in mind today, everywhere I went there were people. Too many people. So I left and went right back home.
The art show is this Wednesday, and today I reserved a nice open spot for all my photos to go on. I'm decorating it tomorrow during school.
Prom is next week! <3 You don't know my excitement right now. I'm getting a spray tan for it with Julia.
I met this sweet girl at Rolling Dog Farm, it is a sanctuary for disabled dogs & horses in New Hampshire. Most times these souls are the first in line for euthanasia, thankful for Steve & Alayne taking them in. We had the good fortune to tour the non-profit facility and truly, it was amazing, heartwarming.
Please see my "album" Rolling Dog Farm" it will give you a broader view of the sweet animals at the farm.
Here is a link if you would like to read about the sanctuary & the tireless efforts by the founders; their story is quite interesting

In my childhood, I was heavily influenced by the smooth Disney cartoons, and their styling. This one draws on that heritage and tells of the secret lives of trees.

Well, as some of you guys know it's already summer in Germany, so a friend
and I decided to spend the sunset at the banks of the river Rhine. There's a little
beach where you can buy some nice drinks, settle in some canvas chairs by
chatting relaxing bull****, or just enjoying the sunset. When we arrived the barkeeper
just drew that wonderful golden beverage ... and I swear it was talking to me!
»Heya Panther, take me ... I'm yours!

I am going to be M.I.A. for a while because we are getting ready to move back to the coast!
It may be a few weeks before I am around, so I wish you all the best while I am away!
I'll miss you! ^____^

My dear Teareasa is Irano-Amercan, born in Isfahan and now lives in Arizona, she has found the PEOPLE here so lovely and warm to foreigners, what she didn't expect and believed before.
Couple session.
I had the opportunity to work with this lovely couple and do some nice shoots before they get married in June. Most of them using my 85mm or my 35mm, handheld and with natural light.
Thank you all for your appreciation.

These macarons are $0.42 cents a piece—they are not along the same lines as Paris-based patisseries Ladurée or Pierre Hermé , which probably cost about four times as much (and they're worth the price). These are from Trader Joe's and pretty damn good! :)
Grab one, I promise it's delicious and not to mention, it's very affordable! You will be hooked.
hello, basically this is what was written on one side of my valentines card.
This thing was so big i cant even fit through the door with it!
Less than 24 hours from now, for the first time in 20 years, I'll be getting on a plane. EEK! Can't they just beam me there like they did in Star Trek? :-D
I took this photo this morning in my backyard. For THREE years, I've been trying to attract hummingbirds to my yard. I didn't even know we had hummingbirds on Long Island at the time. Yesterday, 6 feeders and 3 years later, I saw another one but the nectar wasn't fresh and it flew away. I immediately went to the store, bought another feeder and put it out. Within an hour I saw another one. And she keeps coming back :-). It figures, I'm leaving for 3 weeks less than 24 hours from now but at least I got some shots. And hopefully, they'll be back next year :-).
Thanks, everyone, for your good wishes for my trip! I will see you all when I come back :-)))
Cats are aliens, I`m sure of it. Cute, vicious, furry purring delights maybe, but aliens all the same. I read it in a book when I was a kid ... well, ok, it was sci-fi, but that doesn`t mean it`s not true!
(Blinky`s eye is missing, but the socket seems to be healing ok. These are some of about a dozen cats that live in one house up my street.)
Trying to get into the Flickr rhythm. Hasn't quite happened yet. Maybe with practice and a faster interface with all things binary ... until then, most of my stuff is still going up on Fotolog. I'm really not sure what the site admins are doing these days but it's my first webfoto home and besides, i'm a creature of habit (some good, some crippling). But I want to give this Flickr thing a go. It's an entirely different animal.

taken when was looking around the turbine hall of the tate modern with sgoralnick a few months back. basically doris salcedo has put a massive crack in the floor of the turbine hall and what a nice crack it is to, only problem is a few people found it to hard to have a look at the crack with out falling in it or getting there limbs stuck in it so its now behind a barrier. i fund this out when looking in to Meg Pickard's photo stream today. i reckon the same people who have the legs stuck in doris salcedo crack are the same people making such a fuss over flickr video.
Buried treasure. I had fun processing this.
Don't you just love it when you find an old photograph? :)

When I was younger I always loved it when other guys were wearing this Dunlop Sport model. Even though my interest has mainly moved on to bigger and more comfortable boots, I am still interested in the lovely new colourways Dunlop brought out of this boot. The green Hevea and the dark blue Dunlops are my originals. All in size 42. I can still wear these, although I personally think my calves are too thick to wear them elegantly 😜
I have met a wonderful person through Flickr and her name is Donna. She has a wayward charge called Donkey Oatie www.flickr.com/photos/donkey_oatie/ and between them they raise money for Naomi House , a childrens' hospice in Hampshire. Donna had told me that Donkey Oatie would be celebrating his first birthday and would be appearing at a Michaelmas Fair in Weyhill near Andover. As this is only about 30 miles away I knew we had to visit. It was great to meet Donna, she is such a warm and giving person. And sorry, Donna, but it was even a bigger thrill to meet Oatie. He was all spruced up in a new sateen suit, looking the bees knees. There was a wonderful old helter skelter at the fair and Oatie was desperate to go on it. Unfortunately Donna could not leave her stall so she asked me if I would supervise Oatie. Knowing how often Oatie gets into trouble I had my reservations, but in the end I agreed. Luckily Donkey Oatie was on his best behaviour so there were no incidents:-)
Anyone wanting to donate to the Naomi Hospice can do so through Oatie at www.justgiving.com/donkey-oatie

Title: I see.... Unfortunately this wasp didn't see very well.
Canon 40D, Tamron 90mm w/ 50mm reversed + 3X UC filter, Custom light S2ube.
It's that time of year in Canada that the insects start to....... expire.
I was just outside on the balcony and found this wasp on it's last little surge and decided to immortalize it on Flickr.
Not such a wasted life after all.
