To answer the hottest question in nutrition, twin doctors Chris and Xand Van Tulleken go on month long high-fat and high-sugar diets. The effects on their bodies are shocking and surprising. But they also discover that in the debate about fat and sugar, the real enemy might have been hiding in plain sight.
Fractal Zooms, Hyper-lapse, morphs and screen graphics were created for this episode.
The fractal sequences were shot using 4K cameras giving us huge resolution which enabled us to create these zoom effects in After Effects. Shot on location in New York and London.

Summary method
1. DJI Mini 3 Pro captured 325 frames and saves them as DNG files
2. Edit in LrC and export as JPGs
3. Use Quicktime to assemble resulting images to 29.97 FPS video file and save as full-size video

Another handheld hyperlapse with some new processing techniques. Still a bit wobbly... I need to pay more attention to making sure the verticals remain vertical when taking the photos.
We were driving west in El Dorado County this evening, right into the sunset. Naomi was driving so I helpfully made a time-lapse video of our drive.

I was wishing my Mom a happy birthday on the cell phone as I shot this, while sitting alone on a camp chair in the desert drinking an orange vodka cooler. It was a nice quiet hour with only the sound of coyotes, crickets, and the occasional hiker to bother me.

Subject: Stephen Arthur in 1999-2004, a pioneer of CROSS-CONTINENT TRAVELLING TELEPHOTO TIME-LAPSE ANIMATION (using 5,000 snapshots from a zoomed-in still camera, subsequently cropped further and laboriously post-stabilized on a point in the distance, frame-by-frame in Adobe After Effects as "impossible" virtual cinematography traveling at 5,700 km/hour but smoothly viewable -- now termed "hyperlapse", but this is far beyond that). Stabilization and simulated soundtrack took two years full-time work. Nothing like this will ever be done again. Tragicaly, most viewers simply don't realize what they're seeing.
