The teacup is new to my wee collection. Had to use it! Hydrangea from the garden. It is so warm here some of our spring flowers are trying to bloom!
Hydrangea in full bloom with deep blue central flowers surrounded by blue-purplish ornamental flowers. It retains something of Hydrangea macrophylla f. normalis (‘Gaku-ajisai’ in Japanese), the original species of various hydrangea cultivars.

Thank you all for visiting and your kind comments, awards and faves - I appreciate them all.
When we planted this hydrangea two years ago, its flowers were a beautiful blue color. When it flowered last year, the flowers were bright pink. Regular treatments with coffee grounds turned it purple, but it came out pink again this spring. More coffee grounds have resulted in this lovely melange of purple tones. And the plant will receive regular servings of coffee grounds all year to encourage more blue tones.
Happy Sunday. Take care, stay safe, and remain optimistic. Thanks for stopping by and for all of your support -- I deeply appreciate it.

Hydrangeas are what I consider to be good value plants , as once established they will flower prolifically for months . This one is just in its second year, in my garden , but doing well.

Growing in my garden. I think the wee spots on the petals are because of the unusually dry conditions recently.
