Soft rain kissed petals,

Air is rich with perfume...

I'll be daydreaming amongst the hydrangeas...

Hydrangea, common names hydrangea or hortensia, is a genus of over 75 species of flowering plants native to Asia and the Americas. By far the greatest species diversity is in eastern Asia, notably China, Korea, and Japan.

Late blooming hydrangea. This little plant seems to be a few weeks behind the other hydrangea in our area but is providing a small splash of colour.

This hydrangea is quickly fading away, but not its beauty.

Beginning to fade, but still delightful.

Archives again, but I'll get out again one day.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :)

most of the flowers on our hydrangea are now papery and a paler shade of brown but this one is clinging on to colour

Octubre rosa/pink October

Such lovely, delicate little flowers.

They'd been pure white, but are now dressed up in their beautiful fall colours. Lightly edited with an effect in Topaz Studio 2 for Sliders Sunday. HSS!

Thank you for your visits and comments, much appreciated! Have a great day and new week ahead!

There are no hydrangeas in my own garden, but several of my neighbors have large bushes in their yards. Now, I've been known to break off a blossom or two from flowering plants alongside a path. However, people really frown on other people wandering into one's garden to snitch a pretty posy or two. I was quite satisfied to capture the flowers growing alongside the road. I'm sure my friend was pleased I made that choice as well.

Autumn is not far away ... hooray!

A hydrangea at a local park. Thi shot was taken in the evening and there was some wind every now and then, which made manually focusing at close distance a challenge. Happy (and safe) new week, everyone.

夜の紫陽花です。当時に風も吹いてしまったから、マニュアルレンズでしかもかなり近い距離でピント合わせるのは大変でした(笑)。皆さんは、良い一週間をおお過ごしください。

During the summer, the blossoms of this climbing hydrangea are totally white. Once the weather becomes cooler, the petals begin to match the woody stem of the plant. That is when you can see the tiny veins more readily.

The long cool spring means that many hydrangea flowers started blooming late this season. This is among the earlier ones. The one to the lower RHS corner is still all green.

This beautiful Hydrangea paniculata grows at Staylittle Farm B&B, Dolgellau.

Hydrangea Blue on Rose White

I'm always astounded at the beauty and detail of nature.

This is the backside of an Hydrangea leaf with the sun shining through.

With my left hand I lifted the leaf toward the sun, with my right hand I held my camera and macro lens, capturing this amazing design...
