I felt like I hadn't used a photo of Tasha in a while but when I went to upload I realized I did so only a couple of photos ago, but time-wise, it's been a really long time! Haha
Anyways, just yesterday I purchased a lens I have wanted for many years now: Nikkor's 24-70 f/2.8 I was only able to get the non VR version, and used, but it looks brand new. Anyways, I haven't gotten to use it much yet so I had to do a little backyard photo sesh with Tasha and I thought her light fur against the green grass would work perfectly for this assignment. So here you have it. Tasha and her tongue.

The golden monkey Cercopithecus mitis kandti, a guenon of a rare subspecies that inhabits high-altitude forest in the area around the Virunga volcanoes of east central Africa. Its distribution coincides with that of the endangered mountain gorilla. The survival of both primates depends on the conservation of this relictual habitat. In two year i spread my point of view to film and raised my family size to medium format 6x6 and 4.5x6 and finaly in 2022 i juped to do Large format 4x5.

Giustizia: Associazioni; non è stato un "gesto umanitario", ma un favoritismo inaccettabile di Thomas Mackinson da "Il Fatto Quotidiano" e Giancarlo Vigo con www.aaaopenprison.com
Il Guardasigilli è intervenuto in decine di altri casi. Ma spuntano casi in cui, sollecitata a un intervento, ha risposto picche. E intanto il numero dei suicidi in cella è cresciuto, una quarantina dall'inizio del 2013: "Non avevano il cognome e il numero giusto".
L'affaire Cancellieri-Ligresti innesca la corsa (e la conta) al "gesto umanitario". Il ministro tenterà di placare la bufera ribadendo in aula di non aver tentato alcun favoritismo per Giulia Ligresti ma di essere intervenuta in quello come in decine di altri casi, come confermano i dirigenti del Dap. Che, sentiti da Repubblica, citano anche un altro caso di detenuto che proprio comune non è, quel Valter Lavitola le cui vicende incrociano quelle di Berlusconi nelle aule di giustizia. Il vice del Dipartimento amministrazione penitenziaria Cascini: "Io non ho fatto proprio nulla. Ho solo detto a Cancellieri 'ministro stia tranquilla' la Ligresti è seguitissima. Lei come altri detenuti a rischio, pure per Lavitola ci siamo allertati".
Si schiera con il ministro Avvenire che in un articolo di oggi cita alcuni casi, anonimi per ragioni di privacy, di interessamento a seguito di appelli giunti al dicastero di via Arenula e presi in considerazione dal Guardasigilli attraverso il Dipartimento per l'Amministrazione Penitenziaria (Dap). Fra questi, c'è "la lettera scritta da R., campano 48enne allocato in una casa lavoro dell'Emilia Romagna in procinto di essere trasferito a Favignana, nel Trapanese, difficilmente raggiungibile dai familiari, che risiedono in Campania. Per evitarlo, il detenuto attua uno sciopero della fame, rifiuta di assumere medicine e scrive al ministro. A metà agosto R. viene trasferito in una casa lavoro in Abruzzo, più vicina alla sua famiglia".
A Ferrara 81enne detenuto morto dopo sciopero della fame. La cronaca rivela però che i gesti umanitari mancati sono la regola, l'interessamento "sollecitato" un'eccezione: non più tardi di quattro giorni fa un 81enne è morto nel carcere di Ferrara dopo uno sciopero della fame. L'uomo, di origini calabresi, era recluso nella sezione sicurezza, separato dagli altri detenuti. "Forse non aveva il numero del ministro", è la battuta che gira tra volontari e secondini dell'Arginone.
Carlo Mazzerbo, direttore della casa circondariale di Massa Marittima intervenendo a Linea Notte (Rai3) è stato tranciante sul caso Ligresti: "Con 67mila detenuti e 40mila posti abbiamo molti casi di grandissima difficoltà, di vera e propria disperazione, di cui ci facciamo carico. E il telefono, diciamo così, per loro non squilla".
Favero (Ristretti Orizzonti): "Non avrei parlato di gesto umanitario". Da Padova, Ferrara, Milano le reazioni di chi lavora tutti i giorni a contatto con i carcerati variano dall'incredulità allo sdegno e fino alla rabbia. "Altro che gesto umanitario. Questa storia dimostra ancora una volta che se non hai certi natali puoi morire di stenti in una cella". Usa parole durissime Ornella Favero, direttore di "Ristretti Orizzonti", il giornale della Casa di reclusione di Padova e dell'Istituto di pena femminile della Giudecca. "Fossi stata nel ministro non avrei parlato di un gesto umanitario, né liquidato le pressioni sul Dap come un doveroso interessamento per minimizzare le implicazioni della vicenda. Piuttosto avrei ammesso l'evidenza e per salvare una parvenza di dignità avrei aggiunto "vorrei farlo per ogni detenuto"".
Il caso del detenuto bibliotecario da Padova a Cremona. Nessun favoritismo, certo. Per il detenuto comune. Ornella Favero lo può testimoniare direttamente. Racconta le difficoltà riscontrate da "Ristretti Orizzonti" su un caso che si è risolto solo pochi mesi fa, a luglio, e che chiama in causa proprio il ministro Cancellieri. "Tre mesi fa si è chiusa l'incredibile vicenda di un detenuto che è anche il nostro bibliotecario, Stefano Carnoli. Da Padova è stato trasferito d'ufficio a Cremona perché il magistrato di Sorveglianza aveva accolto il suo reclamo contro il sovraffollamento ai sensi delle indicazioni della Corte Europea per i diritti umani (stabilisce i 3 metri quadrati come spazio minimo per una persona in cella, ndr)". Per "rispettare" questo diritto ecco il trasferimento d'ufficio, deciso dal Ministero, in un carcere dove i centimetri erano rispettati, con la brusca interruzione però di un percorso di rieducazione che a Padova andava avanti da tre anni e a Cremona sarebbe stato impossibile. La vicenda ha un epilogo positivo, ma non grazie all'interessamento umanitario della Cancellieri. "Quando a Cremona è stato chiaro che non c'era alcun percorso di riabilitazione possibile si è messa in moto una campagna di sensibilizzazione su vasta scala. La Cancellieri ha risposto che doveva rimanere a Cremona ma che "avrebbe vigilato". Nel caso dello sconosciuto Carneroli sono stati l'associazione e i giornali. "A fine luglio il Dap decide di fare marcia indietro, optando per una valutazione di ordine realmente umanitario e non burocratica. Ma su sollecitazione di Adriano Sofri e di Corrado Augias che hanno pubblicato le lettere e fatto proprio il suo appello".
Il numero dei suicidi in carcere cresciuto del 300%. Si dice "basito" del comportamento del Ministro Achille Saletti, presidente dell'associazione Saman che nelle carceri svolge attività di aiuto soprattutto alla popolazione di tossicodipendenti. "Quello che è capitato a Giulia Ligresti succede a migliaia di detenuti senza nome che non ricevo alcun trattamento di favore. E il nodo è proprio questo: se è lodevole che il ministro si interessi alle condizioni di un carcerato lo è molto meno che lo faccia nei confronti di uno solo, anche perché la Cancellieri sa che il numero di suicidi in carcere è cresciuto del 300% negli ultimi 10 anni e solo dall'inizio dell'anno se ne contano una quarantina. E non mi risultano telefonate dirette a perorare un trattamento migliore o una qualche soluzione personale".
Il caso Musumeci: "Siamo carne viva immagazzinata". A volte, invece, non c'è ragione umanitaria che tenga. "La storia di Carmelo Musumeci - ragiona la Favero - è emblematica. Il suo è un caso che dovrebbe smuovere le coscienze e invece dimostra che senza santi in Paradiso non vai proprio da nessuna parte". Condannato all'ergastolo per omicidio è detenuto dietro le sbarre del Due Palazzi in regime "ostativo" da 20 anni: nonostante abbia fatto passi enormi (si è laureato in giurisprudenza, ha scritto una proposta di legge contro l'ergastolo, collabora con la rivista Ristretti Orizzonti) gli è inibito ogni beneficio penitenziario: zero permessi, semilibertà o affidamento ai servizi sociali sono chimere. Ha scritto a Napolitano proprio nei giorni in cui l'attenzione del Presidente era rivolta alla condanna a un anno dell'ex premier Berlusconi. "Siamo come carne viva immagazzinata in una cella e destinata a morire", scriveva. Ma nessuna telefonata è arrivata dal Quirinale o dal Ministero della Giustizia. Anche lui, evidentemente, non aveva i numeri.

The irony, of course, is that there are no parlor tricks here. I think I may have tinkered with the white balance, but this is otherwise straight out of the camera. I sat at one of the booths and just set my shutter open pointed in random directions. Later, as can be seen with the trails of light in some of the other pictures from that night, I left the shutter open and slid the camera around on the table slowly. I think I amused myself for a good hour in this fashion. ::chuckle::

Gaslon is a slight reinterpretation and major expansion of a 1973 film type called Corvina Black, originally designed for VGC by A. Bihari. While the original typeface was popular in its own right, there were some things in it that were too quirky to work in the display applications it was intended for. Some of the letter combinations just didn't work to their visual optimum. For example the a and o were too similar, ditto the C and G, the E, F and J were too overwhelming to be set properly within certain display uses. Gaslon eliminates these problems by the inclusion of plenty of alternates for the vast majority of the original letters. In fact, the original a is itself now an alternate to a gorgeous new one. The Gaslon Alt font includes tremendous possibilities for both unicase use, and proper use in conjunction with the main font. This is our true homage to a typeface that had great potential more than three decades ago, but was overlooked by digitizers because of a few quirks it had in film type contexts. Full of curves and invitation, Gaslon ranks very high among the friendliest poster faces ever made. It is ideal for friendly store signs, children book covers, and plenty of other applications. In fact, if you're planning on contributing to a few protests around your neighborhood or city, you would probably be better off using Gaslon to help your sign/placard carry words and slogans that are big but friendly. Nothing beats "DOWN WITH GAS PRICES" set in a nice imaginative mix of the many Gaslon letters. The OpenType version of Gaslon is a single font that contains all the alternates and niceties programmed within features accessible by OT-friendly programs.

I bought new shoes today. Didn't take me long, except for finding the shop. I went into a bookstore close-by afterwards. When I got out, I tried some street photography just outside the bookstore.
I had to up the ISO to 400 to take this, hence the noise. She is a little out of focus but that was the best I could get with the autofocus. There's a dark spot on the lens that gets in the frame when I use the zoom, and it's getting really annoying. Cant' shake it off.
I watched The Social Network tonight at South Bank. Pretty good movie.

Anyways, lx-goods got with me to shoot their shot on Friday night, the guys from as the sky awaits just so happened to be playing, took some shots of them and they contacted me to shoot their show the following day at the melbourne jaycees.
