Always good storm chasing stories to tell about my weather adventures in 2014.

Days right after my knee replacement... Home from the hospital & I definitely wasn't supposed to be out and about. Knee was almost in a cast and I wasn't supposed to be doing anything to aggravate the situation. Though my quest for severe weather never ends and I wasn't going to miss another possible chase especially when its in my backyard. This storm was going to be a photogenic monster... Decision was made & off I went.

Back @ home. I waddle out to the front driveway & look due east. There are always thunderheads with storms. If your lucky enough to witness one that are simply jaw dropping your indeed lucky. Today was that day.

Personal Note *** On the original set Back in 2014 I had use the free Avery photo editor here Flickr and it wasn't the best but I had no prior knowledge of editing them back then. Only shot in .jpg format and I didn't do the best by over coloring and over saturation. Was very under experienced in photo editing back then.

Another epic set of thunderstorm captures from South Central Nebraska remastered through Lightroom and Photoshop. Though I paid for it with my knee just being replaced. I was super sore and the swelling was unreal a few days after this event. All worth it when it comes to what epic views I caught storm chasing on that particular day!

Ο συγκινητικός ύμνος της βασιλείας έχει αντηχήσει, αναγγέλλοντας σε όλο το σύμπαν την άφιξη του Θεού στην ανθρωπότητα! Η βασιλεία του Θεού έχει φτάσει! Όλοι οι άνθρωποι επευφημούν, όλα αγάλλονται! Τα πάντα στους ουρανούς ξεχειλίζουν από χαρά. Τι εντυπωσιακές σκηνές αγαλλίασης είναι αυτές;

Από τους ανθρώπους που ζουν μέσα στην οδύνη και έχουν υπομείνει χιλιάδες χρόνια διαφθοράς του Σατανά, ποιος δεν λαχταρά— δεν ποθεί — την άφιξη του Θεού; Πόσοι πιστοί και ακόλουθοι του Θεού ανά τους αιώνες υπέστησαν, υπό την επιρροή του Σατανά, βάσανα και αντιξοότητες, διώξεις και αποξένωση; Ποιος δεν ελπίζει ότι η βασιλεία του Θεού θα έρθει σύντομα; Αφού γευτεί τις χαρές και τις λύπες της ανθρωπότητας, ποιος άνθρωπος δεν επιθυμεί να πρυτανεύσει η αλήθεια και η δικαιοσύνη στους ανθρώπους;

Όταν έρθει η βασιλεία του Θεού, θα φτάσει επιτέλους η μέρα που περιμένουν απεγνωσμένα όλα τα έθνη και οι λαοί! Tι σκηνές θα εκτυλιχθούν τότε στους ουρανούς και στη γη; Πόσο όμορφη θα είναι η ζωή στη βασιλεία; Με το έργο «Ο ύμνος της βασιλείας: Η βασιλεία κατέρχεται στον κόσμο», οι προσευχές χιλιετιών θα πραγματοποιηθούν.

There was an ancient city standing on the place of Mahdia today during the Phoenicians and roman times and was destroyed during the Arab conquest of North Africa . In Fatimid caliphs time , Obeid Allah , the first Fatimid caliph known as El-Mahdi , choose the place of this narrow peninsula as a port and base in 916 AD , as it was considered a suitable and easy to defend place of refuge for his Shiite followers . He also saw it as an advantageous costal base from where he can launch his attacks on his ultimate goal , Egypt . The Fatimid Calipsh Abdallah El Fatimi after that made Mahdia the capital city of Ifriqiya .

Thick defensive walls were surrounding the city of Mahdia during the Fatimid period that reached up to 10m in thickness and ran across the peninsula at its narrowest point at the place of Skifa el-Kahla today , with smaller walls encircling the remaining area of the peninsula . The areas within the walls were reserved for the Mahdi and his entourage while inhabitants of the city were living outside these walls . Fatimids finally abandoned Mahdia as the capital of their kingdom in AD 947 .

Mahdia reached its present state from the 14th century when the city became the

wealthiest city on the Barbary Coast . Now , the city of Mahdia is inhabited by some 30 , 000 Tunisians , however the areas of living was reversed from their previous locations as now most of the inhabitants live in the modern suburbs in the west from Skifa El Kahla or the Black Passage . Some structures in the city dates from the 10th and 11th centuries , such as the Great Mosque and the Casbah , helped make the city an important tourist attraction as well .

Hi-School Romance was a teen romance comic that ran from 1949 to 1958. The years following World War II saw the rise of dating as we know it today, with teenagers being given a great deal of freedom to meet each other without constant adult supervision. This is a true product of that time, full of malt shops, sock hops and double-dates. In it, starry-eyed schoolgirls do their best to win the man of their dreams. To accomplish this, however, there was always some obstacle to overcome, whether it meant fighting off a rival or merely learning how to play the game of love better.

What may be most remarkable about this series is noting how much has changed between men and women in the last few decades—as well as how much has stayed the same.

Honfleur is a commune in the Calvados department in Normandy en.normandie-tourisme.fr/normandy-tourism-109-2.html in northwestern France. It is located on the southern bank of the estuary of the Seine across from le Havre and very close to the exit of the Pont de Normandie. Its inhabitants are called Honfleurais. It is especially known for its old, beautiful picturesque port, characterized by its houses with slate-covered frontages, painted many times by artists, including in particular Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet and Johan Jongkind, forming the école de Honfleur (Honfleur school) which contributed to the appearance of the Impressionist movement. The Sainte-Catherine church, which has a bell tower separate from the principal building, is the largest church made out of wood in France. The first written record of Honfleur is a reference by Richard III, Duke of Normandy, in 1027. By the middle of the 12th century, the city represented a significant transit point for goods from Rouen to England. Located on the estuary of one of the principal rivers of France with a safe harbour and relatively rich hinterland, Honfleur profited from its strategic position from the start of the Hundred Years' War. The town's defences were strengthened by Charles V in order to protect the estuary of the Seine from attacks from the English. This was supported by the nearby port of Harfleur. However, Honfleur was taken and occupied by the English in 1357 and from 1419 to 1450. When under French control, raiding parties often set out from the port to ransack the English coasts, including partially destroying the town of Sandwich, in Kent, England, in the 1450s. At the end of the Hundred Years' War, Honfleur benefited from the boom in maritime trade until the end of the 18th century. Trade was disturbed during the wars of religion in the 16th century. The port saw the departure of a number of explorers, in particular in 1503 of Binot Paulmierde Gonneville to the coasts of Brazil. In 1506, local man Jean Denis departed for Newfoundland island and the mouth of the Saint Lawrence. An expedition in 1608, organised by Samuel de Champlain, founded the city of Quebec in modern day Canada. After 1608, Honfleur thrived on trade with Canada, the West Indies, the African coasts and the Azores. As a result, the town became one of the five principal ports for the slave trade in France. During this time the rapid growth of the town saw the demolition of its fortifications on the orders of Colbert. The wars of the French revolution and the First Empire, and in particular the continental blockade, caused the ruin of Honfleur. It only partially recovered during the 19th century with the trading of wood from northern Europe. Trade was however limited by the silting up of the entrance to the port and development of the modern port at Le Havre. The port however still functions today. Chinese name: 盧廉若公園

Location: Estrada de Adolfo Loureiro, in northern Macau Peninsular, Macau.

Located in the middle of Macau Peninsular at the northern foot of Guia Hill, Lou Lim Ieoc Garden (in Portuguese: Jardim Lou Lim Ieoc) covers an area of 1.78 hectares with scenic landscapes. This elegant garden was modeled after Suzhou Lion Grove Garden, one of the four most famous classic gardens in Suzhou, being the only one with Suzhou classical garden style in Macau. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden was once named "Entertainment Garden" and hailed as one of three famous gardens of Macau many years ago. And in 1992, it was rated as one of Macau’s eights sights. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden is a great place for sightseeing as it has quaint moon gate, shady walkways, grotesque rocks of man-made hills, bamboo groves, towering banyan tress, winding corridors, elegant pavilions, spattering waterfalls, ponds with green lotus, etc. The waterside pavilion is the centerpiece of Lou Lim leoc Garden. Despite it is a traditional Chinese architecture, some western architectural elements are embedded in, such as the external wall painted in light yellow, the favorite color of Portuguese, gothic porticoes, white European-style carvings at the top of porticoes. The barrier close to the pond is painted red, China’s favorite color. This building reflects the fusion of oriental and western cultures.

It was initially a vegetable plot and was purchased by a Macau Turpan, whose son Lou Lim leoc spent a large sum of money to convert it into a private garden. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden was the largest private garden in Macau. The construction started 1904 and took 21 years to finish. The garden was changed hand due to the Lu family’s bankruptcy, until it was purchased by Macau government in 1970s. After renovation it was opened to the public in 1974. At the turn of 21st century, Lou Lim Ieoc Garden was famed as the show place of Cantonese opera. Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of Chinese democratic revolution, once stayed in this garden to meet celebrities of China, Macau and Portugal, and revolutionists.

Dios creó a la humanidad;

ya sea que se haya corrompido o si lo siguen a Él,

Dios trata a la humanidad como seres queridos,

o como el hombre diría, Sus predilectos.

La humanidad no es un juguete para Él.

Él es el Creador y el hombre, Su creación.

Y a pesar de esto,

lo que Dios hace por el hombre va más allá de su relación.

Je me baladais au Jardin des Plantes pour y faire quelques photos, quand j'ai rencontré en fin d'après-midi ce beau canard aux ailes étranges.

Il bouge beaucoup et rapidement, il n'est pas facile à photographier !!

Et ensuite ça n'a pas été simple de trouver son nom ! Mais j'ai réussi !

L'année dernière (et il y a deux ans) j'ai photographié un canard inconnu qui lui ressemble un peu, mais ses ailes sont raides en et V, et écartées vers l'arrière du corps. J'ai vu sa photo sur le net, mais pas son nom :(

Je le posterai un jour, peut-être quelqu'un pourra l'identifier ?

I was walking in the Garden Botanical in order to take some pictures, when I met in the late afternoon this beautiful duck with strange wings.

It moves a lot and quickly, it is not easy to photograph !!

And then it was not easy to find his name! But I managed!

Last year (and two years ago) I photographed an unknown duck that looks like him a little, but its wings are stiff and in V, and discarded rearwardly of the body. I saw his picture on the net, but not its name :(

I'll post one day, maybe someone will be able identify it?

Devocional | Con tener la verdadera fe, no se tiene miedo de ninguna dificultad

Herman@s, ¿la epidemia que aún está extendiéndose ha causado muchas dificultades en su vida y en su trabajo? En un ambiente así, sabemos que es difícil y duro para usted, pero no se desanime ni llore, nunca está solo, porque Dios siempre está a su lado. Y mientras dependamos de la guía de la Palabra de Dios, podemos fortalecer nuestra fe en Él y encontrar maneras de superar estas dificultades.

Mira, Dios dice: “Cuando Moisés golpeó la roca y brotó de ella el agua conferida por Jehová, fue gracias a su fe. Cuando David tocó la lira para alabarme, a Mí, Jehová —con el corazón lleno de alegría— fue gracias a su fe. Cuando Job perdió su ganado que llenaba las montañas y enormes cantidades de riqueza y su cuerpo se cubrió de dolorosas llagas, fue debido a su fe. Cuando él pudo escuchar Mi voz, la voz de Jehová, y ver Mi gloria, la gloria de Jehová, fue gracias a su fe. Que Pedro haya podido seguir a Jesucristo, fue debido a su fe. Que pudiera ser clavado en la cruz por Mí y dar testimonio glorioso de Mí, también fue debido a su fe. Cuando Juan vio la imagen gloriosa del Hijo del hombre, fue debido a su fe. Cuando vio la visión de los últimos días, fue, aún más, a causa de su fe. La razón por la que las así llamadas ‘multitudes de las naciones gentiles’ han obtenido Mi revelación y han llegado a tener conocimiento de que Yo he regresado en la carne para llevar a cabo Mi obra entre los hombres, también es a causa de su fe. ¿Acaso todos los que son golpeados por Mis severas palabras —y que, sin embargo, encuentran en ellas consuelo y son salvados— no lo han hecho por causa de su fe?”.

“Sólo podrás ver a Dios desde el interior de tu fe. Cuando tengas fe, Dios te perfeccionará. Sin fe, Él no puede hacerlo. Dios te concederá cualquier cosa que esperes obtener. Si no tienes fe, Dios no puede perfeccionarte y serás incapaz de ver Sus acciones, y menos aún Su omnipotencia. Cuando tengas una fe con la que puedas ver Sus acciones en tu experiencia práctica, entonces Dios aparecerá ante ti, y te esclarecerá y te guiará desde dentro. Sin esa fe, Dios no podrá hacer esto. Si has perdido la esperanza en Dios, ¿cómo podrás experimentar Su obra? Por tanto, sólo cuando tengas fe y no albergues dudas hacia Dios, cuando tu fe en Él sea verdadera, haga lo que haga, Él te esclarecerá e iluminará en tus experiencias, y sólo entonces podrás ver Sus acciones. Todas estas cosas se consiguen por medio de la fe. La fe sólo llega mediante el refinamiento, y en ausencia de refinamiento, la fe no puede desarrollarse. ¿A qué se refiere la fe? La fe es la creencia genuina y el corazón sincero que los humanos deberían poseer cuando no pueden ver ni tocar algo, cuando la obra de Dios no está en línea con las nociones humanas, cuando está más allá del alcance humano. Esta es la fe de la que hablo”.
