A late June Storm Chase with fellow chaser Myles Nelson in the Eastern Plains of Colorado. Which would eventually takes us into Kansas and back into Nebraska.

We never did catch a tornado due the RFD getting undercut. Simply meaning that it wouldn't produce just south of Yuma Colorado via Hwy 59. Once the storm became outflow dominate it was picture perfect. We had made several stops on Hwy 36 Eastbound. Beautiful structure close to Kirk Colorado and south of Wray. Pure Storm chasing eye candy!!!

Once we got into Kansas by St. Francis and Bird City we were loosing light fast but the it was picture perfect for viewing this incredible storm cell.

We had a long drive back after the last light of the day and this storm was to intensify. It did, making our trip back a little more interesting than expected. This part is not on video, but we became the hunted as this storm really intensified. There was so much lighting being fired off we could see for miles and miles as the storm was picking up steam and moving to the northeast. Relentlessly following us on our heals ever inch of the way back we were getting concerned about out safely. Once we turned east via Hwy 89 back into the southwest portion of Nebraska, we came face to face with a Tornado on the ground close to Wilsonville and another possible one north of Beaver City. That was not in the plan for that evening and it definitely got our attention.

Rebecca Horn wurde am 24. März 1944 als Tochter eines Kaufmanns und Textildesigners im hessischen Michelstadt im Odenwald geboren.

Schon im frühen Kindesalter träumte sie davon, eine Künstlerin zu werden. Inspiriert wurde sie von ihrem rumänischen Kindermädchen, einer Malerin, die Rebecca im Zeichnen unterrichtete, sowie von ihrem Onkel, der ebenfalls ein Künstler war und ein unstetes sowie abwechslungsreiches Leben führte.

Nach einem langjährigen Internatsaufenthalt sollte Rebecca Volkswirtschaft studieren, um die elterliche Textilfabrik zu übernehmen, die schon seit mehreren Generationen im Familienbesitz war. Doch sie brach das Studium nach sechs Monaten ab und begann 1963, vorerst ohne das Wissen der Eltern, ein Philosophie- und Kunststudium an der Hochschule der Bildenden Künste in Hamburg.[1]

Studienzeit

Von Bedeutung für Horn waren die literarischen Werke Tagebuch eines Diebes von Jean Genet, Locus Solus von Raymond Roussel, Johann Valentin Andreaes Chymische Hochzeit des Christian Rosencreuz oder auch die Werke von Franz Kafka und Filme von Luis Buñuel und Pier Paolo Pasolini.[2][3]

1967 begann sie Abgüsse für eine Skulptur aus Glasfasern und Polyesterharz (glasfaserverstärkter Kunststoff) herzustellen, allerdings wurde sie nicht vor giftigen Dämpfen gewarnt und zur Verwendung einer Atemschutzmaske angehalten, daher erlitten Rebecca Horn und zwei weitere Kommilitoninnen eine schwere Lungenvergiftung, worauf Horn lange Zeit im Krankenhaus und ein Jahr im Sanatorium verbrachte.[4]

Als sie nach der Unterbrechung an die Universität zurückkehrte, verwendete Rebecca Horn daraufhin nur noch leichtere und überwiegend organische Materialien wie Baumwolle, Bandagen und insbesondere Federn.

Zwischen 1968 und 1972 entstanden eine Reihe von Aktionen und Performances, die nur einem kleinen Personenkreis vorbehalten waren. Ihr erstes Projekt 1968 war die Arm-Extension, in der sie das Gleichgewicht zwischen Mensch und Raum auslotet.[5]

1969 beendete Rebecca Horn ihr Studium an der Hamburger Kunsthochschule. Ein einjähriges DAAD-Stipendium am Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design ermöglichte einen Studienaufenthalt in London.

Künstlerlaufbahn

Seit dem Beginn der 70er Jahre setzte Rebecca Horn aus skulpturalen Environments, Installationen und Zeichnung mit Video und Performance und Fotoübermalungen ein Werk zusammen.

Im Jahr 1972 wurde ihr Werk zum ersten Mal auf der Documenta 5 unter der Leitung von Harald Szeemann ausgestellt. Fluxus und Happening-Kunst, die bei der 4. documenta noch nicht vorkamen, fanden u. a. hier ihren Platz. Nicht-Kunst und Bildbeiträge aus der Psychiatrie wurden ausgestellt und öffentlich kontrovers diskutiert. Sie war hier die jüngste Künstlerin der Ausstellung.

Im gleichen Jahr zog Rebecca nach New York, nach SoHo, einen Stadtteil von Manhattan, der im Laufe der 1960er Jahre zunehmend von jungen Künstlern und Freiberuflern bezogen wurde. Hier trafen sich die Protagonisten der Fluxus- und Experimentalfilm-Szene, um in heruntergekommenen und leerstehenden Fabriketagen ihre Zusammenkünfte mit Dichterlesungen, Happenings, Performance-Art usw. abzuhalten. Fast zehn Jahre verbrachte sie zwischen Berlin und New York.

1984 war sie auf der Gruppenausstellung Von hier aus – Zwei Monate neue deutsche Kunst in Düsseldorf vertreten. 1993 hatte Horn als erste Frau eine Einzelausstellung im New Yorker Guggenheim-Museum.

1987 gestaltete sie den Zwinger in Münster im Rahmen der Skulptur.Projekte in ein Mahnmal gegen die NS-Gewalt um.

Sie arbeitete unter anderem mit dem Arte-Povera-Künstler Jannis Kounellis und machte einige Filmprojekte, darunter die Kinofilme La Ferdinanda: Sonate für eine Medici-Villa mit den Schauspielern Valentina Cortese, Richard Sutherland und Hans Peter Hallwachs sowie Buster's Bedroom (1990) nach dem Drehbuch von Martin Mosebach mit den Schauspielern Donald Sutherland, Geraldine Chaplin und Martin Wuttke, der für seine Ausstattung durch Nana von Hugo 1992 den Deutschen Filmpreis erhielt.

Horn stellte mehrere Male auf der Documenta in Kassel aus und wurde mit wichtigen Kunstpreisen ausgezeichnet. So wurde sie 1992 als erste Frau Trägerin des Kaiserrings von Goslar. Seit 1993 ist Rebecca Horn Mitglied der Akademie der Künste in Berlin. Dort ist ihre Rauminstallation Die drei Grazien in den drei Lichtkuppeln der Wandelhalle des Bundesratsgebäudes seit dem Umzug der Institution und der Wiedereröffnung des Gebäudes im September 2000 Teil der künstlerischen Neugestaltung des früheren Sitzes des Preußischen Herrenhauses.[6]

Si nadie sabe la venida del Señor, ¿cómo puede haber quien grita “Aquí está el novio”?

Ahora, muchas personas han escuchado en Internet que alguien testifica que el Señor Jesús ha regresado, y están buscando e investigando. Sin embargo, otras personas piensan “ya que la Escritura dice: “Pero de aquel día y hora nadie sabe”, pues ¿cómo pueden saber que el Señor ha retornado?”. Así que tienen dudas y no saben si quieren estudiar el camino verdadero. Entonces ¿cómo debemos entender con precisión estas palabras del Señor? El Señor Jesús dijo: “Y de la higuera aprended la parábola: cuando su rama ya se pone tierna y echa las hojas, sabéis que el verano está cerca. Así también vosotros, cuando veáis todas estas cosas, sabed que Él está cerca, a las puertas. En verdad os digo que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo esto suceda. El cielo y la tierra pasarán, mas mis palabras no pasarán. Pero de aquel día y hora nadie sabe, ni siquiera los ángeles del cielo, ni el Hijo, sino solo el Padre” (Mateo 24:32-36 ).

Estos versículos hablan de las señales antes de que el Señor venga. El Hijo del hombre mencionado aquí se refiere a Dios encarnado. Las expresiones “Él está cerca, a las puertas” y “Pero de aquel día y hora nadie sabe” quieren decirnos que cuando el Señor vuelva en los últimos días se hará carne otra vez, no obstante, nadie sabe el momento en que nace Dios hecho carne, ni los ángeles del cielo, ni el Hijo del hombre mismo, sino solo el Padre. Esto no significa que ningún hombre sepa después de la venida del Señor.

Dios dice: “Al principio, cuando Jesús aún tenía que desarrollar oficialmente Su ministerio, como los discípulos que lo siguieron, en ocasiones asistió a reuniones, cantó himnos, alabó y leyó el Antiguo Testamento en el templo. Después de ser bautizado y levantarse, el Espíritu descendió oficialmente sobre Él y comenzó a obrar, revelando Su identidad y el ministerio que iba a emprender. Antes de esto, nadie conocía Su identidad, excepto María. Ni siquiera Juan la conocía. Jesús tenía 29 años cuando fue bautizado. Después de Su bautismo, los cielos se abrieron y una voz dijo: ‘Este es Mi Hijo amado, en quién me regocijo grandemente’. Una vez que Jesús había sido bautizado, el Espíritu Santo comenzó a dar testimonio de Él de esta forma. Antes de ser bautizado a la edad de 29, Él había vivido la vida de una persona ordinaria, comiendo cuando tenía que comer, durmiendo y vistiéndose normalmente, y nada de Él era diferente de los demás. Por supuesto esto sólo era así para los ojos carnales del hombre. […] Después de Su bautismo, no se produjeron cambios particulares en Jesús; Él seguía estando en Su carne original. Simplemente, comenzó Su obra y reveló Su identidad, y se llenó de autoridad y poder. A este respecto, era diferente que antes. Su identidad era diferente, lo que quiere decir que se produjo un cambio significativo en Su estatus; este era el testimonio del Espíritu Santo y no la obra hecha por el hombre. Al principio, las personas no sabían y sólo llegaron a saber un poco una vez que el Espíritu Santo dio testimonio de Jesús de esa forma. Si Jesús hubiera hecho una gran obra antes de que el Espíritu Santo diera testimonio de Él, pero sin el testimonio de Dios mismo, entonces independientemente de lo grande que fuera Su obra, las personas nunca habrían conocido Su identidad, porque el ojo humano habría sido incapaz de verlo. Sin el paso del testimonio del Espíritu Santo, nadie lo habría reconocido como Dios encarnado”.

Aunque no sabemos la hora exacta del regreso del Señor en los últimos días, algunas personas sabrán después de que Él venga a obrar. Si nadie supiera el retorno del Señor, ¿cómo podríamos seguirlo y creer en Él? Y ¿cómo compliría Él Su obra de salvar al hombre? Mateo 25:6 dice: “Pero a medianoche se oyó un clamor: «¡Aquí está el novio! Salid a recibirlo.»”. Ahora que el Señor ha venido, y mientras seamos las vírgenes prudentes y busquemos e investiguemos rápidamente y aprendamos a escuchar la voz de Dios, podremos recibirlo.

Been Waiting since March for a good storm in Nebraska... we have had some but out of my reach due to some vehicle issues. Though just recently this has changed and was able to enjoy this event!

The 2020 Storm Season has been stale to say the least. Though Mother Nature... She would redeem herself this day. Beautiful Severe Warned Thunderstorms, with all the extras. Surreal!

Decided to play it north deep into Central Nebraska that afternoon. Bad road networks and basically no cell services unless you have a booster, which I have. Models that day had it right north of Brady Nebraska then for it to develop and move north northeast. Some of the models had it a little bit further north and that was exactly why I was in the Thedford Halsey Nebraska Area to start.

Though when the storms fired I had a nice TVS warning on this first cell but the storms south which had merged with these storms now and sucking all the energy southward. I had to punch through the core of this first storm to get to the one developing to my due south...The main event for the afternoon.

Epic Nebraska Supercell Structure.... Seeing this up close and personal is what I needed! Incredible defined detail as this cell moved northeast. Directly up from the Brady Maxwell Arnold areas. A perfect viewing point out in the open just to the west of Merna Nebraska.

El Señor Jesús dijo: “Porque como en los días de Noé, así será la venida del Hijo del Hombre. Pues así como en aquellos días antes del diluvio estaban comiendo y bebiendo, casándose y dándose en matrimonio, hasta el día en que entró Noé en el arca, y no comprendieron hasta que vino el diluvio y se los llevó a todos; así será la venida del Hijo del Hombre” (Mateo 24:37-39).

Echa un vistazo a la época del arca de Noé, los seres humanos estaban lejos de Dios, olvidando las instrucciones de Dios, solo codiciando los placeres de la carne, se volviendo licenciosos por naturaleza, haciendo algo malo, al final, Dios destruyó a los seres humanos malvados de aquella época con el gran diluvio. En el mundo actual, las personas adoran la maldad y se entrega al placer pecaminoso. La gente se dedica a las intrigas, a las luchas de poder y a las luchas intestinas. E incluso muchos creyentes en el Señor también siguen las tendencias mundanas involuntariamente y son codiciosos con el dinero. Ellos solo admiten el nombre del Señor pero no practican Sus palabras. Ellos viven en el pecado, sin embargo no creen que eso sea pecado. Estos fenómenos justamente demuestran que cuando la maldad y corrupción de la humanidad se han desarrollado su punto culminante, vendrá el Hijo del hombre. La expresión “Hijo del hombre” se refiere a Aquel que nace de un ser humano y tiene una humanidad normal. Por tanto, no se puede denominar “Hijo del hombre” al Espíritu. Por ejemplo, Jehová Dios es Espíritu y no puede ser llamado “Hijo del hombre”. Al Señor Jesús encarnado se le llamó “Hijo del Hombre” y “Cristo” porque Él era la carne encarnada del Espíritu de Dios que se convirtió en un hombre normal y corriente y vivió entre los hombres. Así pues, cuando el Señor Jesús dijo “el Hijo del Hombre” y “viene el Hijo del Hombre”, se refería a la venida de Dios a través de Su encarnación en los últimos días.

Ahora, Dios se ha hecho carne y ha venido entre la gente, expresando palabras para hacer una etapa de la obra de la salvación. Hoy en día, en muchas plataformas de Internet, se pueden escuchar las buenas noticias de que alguien está predicando la venida del Señor para salvar a las personas. El Señor Jesús dijo: “Pero a medianoche se oyó un clamor: «¡Aquí está el novio! Salid a recibirlo»” (Mateo 25:6). “He aquí, yo estoy a la puerta y llamo; si alguno oye mi voz y abre la puerta, entraré a él, y cenaré con él y él conmigo” (Apocalipsis 3:20). Por eso, cuando escuchamos a alguien dando testimonio de que el Señor ha regresado, debemos buscar e investigar activamente y aceptar la salvación de Dios en los últimos días para que seamos salvados por Él y llevados a la siguiente era; y aquellos que no creen en Sus palabras, siguen viviendo por el mal y la corrupción y disfrutando del gozo del pecado, eventualmente perderán la salvación de Dios.

Echamos una mirada retrospectiva a la Era de Noé, los seres humanos fueron corrompidos y malvado, Dios destruyó el mundo con un diluvio. En comparación con hoy, los últimos días, ¿qué elección hacemos cuando escuchamos el sonido de Dios llamando a la puerta?

Dios dice: “debo decirte que en la época de Noé, los hombres habían estado comiendo y bebiendo, casándose y dándose en casamiento hasta un punto que a Dios le resultó insoportable de presenciar, por lo que envió un gran diluvio para destruir a la humanidad y sólo dejó a la familia de ocho miembros de Noé y toda especie de aves y bestias. En los últimos días, sin embargo, aquellos a los que Dios ha guardado son todos los que le han sido leales hasta el final. Aunque ambas fueron épocas de gran corrupción insoportable para Dios de presenciar y la humanidad fue tan corrupta en ambas eras que le negó a Dios como el Señor, Dios destruyó a todos los hombres del tiempo de Noé. En ambas épocas, la humanidad ha afligido a Dios en gran manera, pero Él ha seguido siendo paciente con los hombres en los últimos días hasta ahora. ¿Por qué es esto así? ¿Nunca habéis pensado en ello? Si de verdad no lo sabéis, permitidme decíroslo. La razón por la que Dios puede tratar a los hombres con misericordia en los últimos días no es que sean menos corruptos que los de la época de Noé ni que hayan mostrado arrepentimiento a Dios, mucho menos se debe a que Él no pueda soportar destruir a los hombres en los últimos días en los que la tecnología ha avanzado. Más bien, la razón es que a Dios le queda obra por realizar en un grupo de hombres en los últimos días y será Dios mismo encarnado quien la lleve a cabo. Además, Dios escogerá a una parte de este grupo como Sus objetos de salvación, el fruto de Su plan de gestión y llevará a esos hombres con Él a la siguiente era”.
