Covering 135 miles (217km) non-stop over the most epic terrain imaginable and finishing at the end of the road on Mt. This show brings to life mighty medieval fortifications and the epic sieges they resist: clashes that defy the limits of military technology, turn empires to dust, and transform mortals into legends.
Castles conjure thoughts of romantic tales, but make no mistake, they are built for war.
Dover: Prince Louis' key to England. Malaga: the Granadans final stronghold. And Crac des Chevaliers: Crown Jewel of Crusader castles. Through dynamic location footage and immersive visual effects, Battle Castle reveals a bloody history of this epic medieval arms race.
As siege weapons and technology become more ruthless, the men who design and built these castles reply ... or perish. Follow host Dan Snow as he explores the military engineering behind these medieval megastructures and the legendary battles that became testaments to their might.
Each episode will climax in the ultimate test of the castle's military engineering -- a siege that will change the course of history. Which castles will be conquered and which will prevail? You'll have to watch to find out.

On Monday, November 14, 2022 the Ramapo Sports Club hosted their weekly Monday Night Sports event in Padovano Commons. The Washington Commanders faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles, and won with a score of 32-21. Duck Donuts and The Cookie Connect were served.
Public speaking has always been a huge strength of mine, so to incorporate that by hosting an event relating to one of my biggest passions, aka fashion, prepare for passion overload!

The superb east window of the north aisle at Deddington is the work of Bromsgrove Guild artist Archibald J. Davies and is one of the very finest examples of Arts & Crafts stained glass. It was installed in 1924 and depicts the Assumption of Mary, shown above in silvery monochrome surrounded by angels, whilst below she is shown again with Gabriel and flanked by the figures of Hannah (mother of the prophet Samuel) and St George, set amongst lush foliage. The carefully selected colour palette has been so masterfully used as to increase the effect of richness, along with the tonal effects of stippled painting.
SS Peter & Paul at Deddington displays the warm toffee-colouring of north Oxfordshire's ironstone to good effect. The tower with it's gilt-weathervaned pinnacles is the main landmark of this small town.
The main body of this very grand church dates mostly from the 13th and 14th centuries, but the tower and west end of the aisles were built after the original steeple collapsed in 1634. Rebuilding was interrupted by the Civil War and not completed untuil 1683-5. This 17th century work blends well with the medieval church, only in some of the carved details of doors and windows is the later date apparent. Statues of the church's patron saints were re-used on the west side (only their lower halfs are medieval).
The spacious interior contains two medieval monuments and a curious north porch with a shallow gothic dome (part of the 17th century reconstruction).
The most significant artworks are in stained glass; there are two windows by C.E.Kempe, but far more impressive are the superb Arts & Crafts period windows in the north aisle by Archibald J. Davies of the Bromsgrove Guild, some of the very finest glass of it's date.
