Pete provided much photo fun when he took the Hooligan for a spin in the carpark under my apartment building while Cyclone Marcia delivered heavy rain above on the street.

The sign reads:

Taken at the far end of the Turnagain Arm, that hangs off Cook inlet near Anchorage, where the Kenai Peninsula starts.
Every spring, people go mad for catching "Hooligan" fish, which rush into the arm with the incomming tide - scary amounts of them - people line up the shore and literrally pull out bucketfulls with nets. You often get Beluga Whales feasting on them too in the same area, but disapointingly we didnt see any :-/
The people fishing is quite a sight - there's hundreds of them! You knew something was up when entering the area roadsigns told you to slow down as there were people in the road - it was chaos - people parked up in every concievable spot!
Would have preferred to had got a closer spot, but i'd parked the RV on the very narrow breakdown-lane, and passing traffic were getting scarily close to it, so had to be quick!
These are the eggs of Amblyglyphidodon curacao (see next picture), which are stuck to a dead whip coral. This is quite a specialized place to deposit eggs. The fish is tending to them, but not defending them as aggressively as other pomacentridae.
Isn't Amblyglyphidodon sp. a "Damsel" fish? I think that name gives a wrong impression and the Pomacentridae should be called hooligan fish..

The pre-match atmosphere at Elland Road in the game between Leeds United and Millwall in May 2009 for the Playoff semi-final second leg. The game ended 1-1 with Millwall winning the fixture 2-1 on aggregate, however they went onto to lose the final 3-2 to Scunthorpe. There was a high amount of passion from both set of fans and the Police were forced to escort the Millwall fans to the stadium, due to the Millwall fans having a reputation for hooliganism.
Nachdem vier gut gepolsterte Polizisten einen Sprint hinlegen mussten, um einen Autofahrer an der Weiterfahrt zu hindern, dessen Kofferraum in der Menge plötzlich aufschlug/geöffnet wurde, und ihre Kollegen ihn abgeführt haben, sehen sich die selben vier gut gepolsterten Polizisten plötzlich mit vier Hooligans konfrontiert.
Im Vordergrund rechts trägt einer der Vier ein T-Shirt mit der Aufschrift
No one likes us, we don't care., ein anderer wirft den Polizisten lautstark vor, Hooligans würden wieder mal als Sündenböcke hingestellt.
