Honeoye Falls... Sony A7 with my 30mm macro lens... it was the only lens I had with me that would accept my 49mm ND 400 filter...
Dozens of webs in the field, all ruled by one humongous 8-legged beastie. I liked the various sharp web-shots I took home (including several close-ups of the fanged monster) , but this bokeh'd one is my favorite.

Late afternoon sun let me catch some reflections in Honeoye creek just behind the falls.

I have always lived in a city and have only seen the Milkyway twice before.
This weekend my wife and I decided to have a real getaway weekend, and so we stayed at a bed and breakfast in Honeoye, NY. There actually is not a lot to do in that area, we aren't outdoorsmen, but the scenery was beautiful ! And we did succeed in getting away and being together. Where we live, the city has a constant hum, You just know you are in the middle of things, but in the B&B in Honeoye, it was so silent, it was noticeable.
Of course I brought my camera, but actually took very few photos. The first night, I had to go to the car to get something, and happened to look up and saw the Milkeyway. Amazing! very distinct. So I set up my tripod and snapped about 20 exposures. This photo is based on five exposures at ISO 2500 20 seconds f3.5 through an 8mm Rokinon fisheye. Stacked in Photoshop with a median filter, and simply used the Levels filter to adjust and enhance the image.
This is my first attempt at Milkyway photography-- even being in the middle of nowhere, there were small lights in the yard that caused some lens flare that I cropped around and touched up.
