Another advantage of using the cotton fabrics is that they are easy to install and maintain. You need not to hire a professional to install them for you. You can follow the simple installation instructions given on the manufacturers' website and install the Roman blinds Dubai in an afternoon.

It was not my first choice...

wooden blinds when it comes to quality, style, and performance. One of the great things about wooden blinds is that they are extremely effective in ensuring privacy, as well as regulating the natural light and ensuring a comfortable environment.

Tomorrow begins the painting of the ceiling, followed by the trim pieces and the walls. Today, small accomplishment, was putting a piece of transition molding between the two Marmoleum surfaces. This time it was flat where the piece that goes between the diningroom and the livingroom is rounded. Not why why the design is different other than other pair of floors (the other surface being hardwood) are an uneven height, or maybe there was some design change.

Anyhow, so no big gap between the two tiles rows now so that's taken care of.

I love the look of the eco bulbs

Living room now has all our stuff in it. Painted the heck out of everything, replaced the 80's track lighting with a new fixture. Still need a mirror or something for the fireplace. Also landlord is fixing the chimney so we get fire this winter! Yay!

A stranger's light comes on slowly

A stranger's heart without a home

You put your hands into your head

And then its smiles cover your heart

Fade into you

Strange you never knew

What was behind the plate on the wall that holds the thermostat up on the livingroom wall.

Nothing remarkable here, except for the fact that I installed the outlet my very own self!

End of day one - all that's left of the kitchen

Just before the build start for custom hardwood floors by CK Custom Hardwood Floors

Finally got rid of the nasty cream one!

The last 3 steps are the "triangular" steps that needed special attention. The oddly shaped pieces that I've cut and finished earlier have been all glued down, and what you can see here is the last step.

I made a big mistake with the first of the 3 triangular steps.. after I put the books on top to weigh it down for the glue to set, I did not realize they can still shift while the glue cured.. so therefore there was this 1mm gap between pieces on the first one. So for the next two steps, I use duct tape to hold them together first, then put down a sheet of plastic to shield the books from glue squeeze-out.

Anyways, it is OK, the gaps can be filled with wood filler. See ya in 7 hours!

it took about 2 hours to finish the siding work. It went a lot faster than we thought.

Joe and I installed over a snowy weekend

With a little help from Photoshop

Some of you have seen my apartment bathrooms. The latest one is really boring.

Found the shelf I have had in the last 3 bathrooms at the Goodwill for 7 bucks. You all know I like to hang up seasonal bath towels. And need 3 towels to get ready in the morning.

Went on an expedition to get paint for the shelf - no spray painting in the new boring apt!

I do believe this becomes a 'Before' picture, as in Before and After!

I like this shot a lot. The new lights really warm up the room

This was halfway through the job. The rest of the job involved adding an igniter with extra logic to turn off the ignition once the flame starts.

The new door didn't go in very easily. The house in this area seems to be a bit out of square making door installation annoying. Guess that shows why the previous door was always trouble.

The next step will be to trim both sides of the door but that'll wait until the room is painted.
