I have birds in my house, (my friends:) and wild ones in my attic, and some that have made a nest in my upper windows, and a slew of them in my yard that have taken over my trees.. but tonight this one was...home alone!
807. 1/15 "Home Sweet Home"
Sometimes, there's just no place like home! What does your dog enjoy the most about being at home?
Spanky enjoys burrowing !!!! He loves to be under my blankets at night, and loves to be snuggled up in his cozy cave bed during the day.
Just Home and Love! the words are small
Four little letters unto each;
And yet you will not find in all
The wide and gracious range of speech
Two more so tenderly complete:
When angels talk in Heaven above,
I'm sure they have no words more sweet
Than Home and Love.
Just Home and Love! it's hard to guess
Which of the two were best to gain;
Home without Love is bitterness;
Love without Home is often pain.
No! each alone will seldom do;
Somehow they travel hand and glove:
If you win one you must have two,
Both Home and Love.
And if you've both, well then I'm sure
You ought to sing the whole day long;
It doesn't matter if you're poor
With these to make divine your song.
And so I praisefully repeat,
When angels talk in Heaven above,
There are no words more simply sweet
Than Home and Love.

This was my playground as a young lad, our family farm Bron y Gader is below Y Garn and Llyn y Gader lake was part of it. Still my playground.
this home is in Liverpool, Perry County, Pennsylvania. It is along Route 15 on the Susquehanna River. I drove by this summer (2011) and couldn't believe what I saw. There it is. I drove by in August, 2016 and the sign was gone.
I've just dropped in to see you all
I'll only stay awhile
I want to hear how you're getting on
I want to see you smile
I'm happy to be back again
And greet you big and small
For there's no place on earth just like
The homes of Donegal
I long to see your smiling children
Standing by the door
The kettle boiling on the hearth
As I walk up the floor
And then to see a welcome free
For travellers one and all
For your hearts are like your mountains
In the homes of Donegal
I'd like to stay along with you
And while away the night
With fairy lore and tales of yore
Beside the turf fire bright
And then to see laid out for me
A shake-down by the wall
For there's rest for weary wanderers
In the homes of Donegal
The time has come for me to go
And bid you all adieu
For the open highway calls me back
To do these things I do
But when I'm travelling far away
Your friendship I'll recall
And please God I'll soon return unto
The homes of Donegal
Donegal, Pride of all
Donegal, Pride of all

Plastic - the obvious choise if you want to give your hallway an exclusive, elegant and timeless look! Add old batteries, lightbulbs, hairclips and other random crap to get the right ambience :)
Bringing home another branch to add to the nest. Though this branch is quite small, it was impressive to watch him get others that were bigger as he just snapped them off the trees. He took his time checking out the different branches before selecting the perfect one each time.
This is the last shot of my neat stack of firewood. I have had to start using it. We are experiencing the longest sustained subzero temperatures in over a hundred years here. The barometer has reached +1 Celsius only a couple of times since mid October.
This morning at 06:30 am it was -35 C plus the wind chill factor. The wood is a life saver and a comfort.\
It's the real thing. :-)
Hellboy_jepoy says: Beauty is not about seeing things that we always like to see, rather it is the truth about how things are really doing. This is indeed beautiful!!!

Moved house about 5 weeks ago and have finally got round to finishing my home office.
Last thing to do was hang some pictures today.
All ready for viewing :)
Now all I need is a 27" iMac to finish it off properly
Hold on, to me as we go
As we roll down this unfamiliar road
And although this wave is stringing us along
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm going to make this place your home
Settle down, it'll all be clear
Don't pay no mind to the demons
They fill you with fear
The trouble it might drag you down
If you get lost, you can always be found
Just know you're not alone
Cause I'm going to make this place your home
