For as long as I can remember, this tiny little house has been someone's home. It even has a tiny little deck on the back.

View from the family room of the house where I grew up, on the occasion of my final visit there. In the distance, the bluff overlooks Lake Erie.

Sorting through old photos, I'm posting some interesting ones. This image was uploaded to Flickr on Oct. 24, 2021.

Thank you to everyone who visits, faves, and comments.

High up in a dead tree above the raging Lamar river, a male Osprey brings sticks to the female and she builds the nest. They mate periodically and soon will have young osprey to feed and take care of for the next few weeks.

A mix of old and new.

This is a home I put together for my friend, Happy, who wanted a small house build.

There is enough space outside for friends that would like to come over. :)

tuesday. shirakawa-go.

the folk village of shirakawa-go...

ever since sui came across this world heritage beauty for the first time...in a magazine or something...she had wanted to come see it with her own eyes...so i obligingly squeezed takayama into our already tight itinerary...

what about shirakawa-go she asked...well...there is a folk village ten minutes from takayama and it is as good as the real thing...as i sold it to her...and she kind of bought it..but then...our host at takayama ninjahouse octavio san told us that the one near takayama is a fake and we should definitely go see the real thing since we have come this far...

so...there we were...the real folk village of shirakawa-go...

and we bought this strung dried chilli thingy...

they were everywhere in zhongdian when we went ten years ago in twenty o six...we did not bring any home then though and regretted...

hmm...that was our honeymoon slash backpacking trip...so...

jie was not conceived yet then...

would be a great place to live - right by the canal side watching the barges go by.... what a great lifestyle!

This female Red-winged Blackbird is setting up house for her new babies to arrive. She was diligently bringing twigs, dried grass vines into her nest then stomping about to pack it all in nice and tight. As you can see on the left there was a ton of obstructive branches of which i tried very hard to get some proper focus.I then decided to get closer through the brush to get a better focal range. She decided then that i was too close so stayed away...hence a much better close up of her awesome handy-work.I of course would not have ventured so close if she had eggs in her nest.My doesn't she weave an amazing intricate nest.

Pushing on that trigger is like pulling magic into my very soul...Darrell.

Have a safe and delightful day dear Flickr friends !

Aqueduct Avenue, Morelia City.

This is my everyday view once i arrive home at night. It is a beautiful view from every angle but i would say the best way you can spot this place is at night, really.

The avenue has around +250 pink quarry arches, with a gradual-growing architecture and a decent statue at the beginning.

Regards.

Thanks for watching.

getting a full colander of home grown strawberries every few days thanks to some netting and a warm summer and Pierre's picking for me ;-) a few for deserts and the rest for the jam making.

Home is where you lie your head down, find your loved ones, share your secrets, enjoy others' artworks, create the ambiance you want.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

This week, we had a severe ice storm that affected Memphis, Tennessee and Desoto county in northern Mississippi. Our electricity went out at 6:00 AM Thursday and didn't come back until Saturday at 4:00 PM. So, to provide light, we dug out some old kerosene lanterns we had in storage. I took the opportunity to photograph one of them. Eventually, it got so cold we had to find a hotel to say in. The experience made me realize just how dependent we have become on our technological gadgets and how lost we are without them. The good thing is, it gave me a chance to read from a textbook called, "Living with Art." I learned some great concepts I hope to put into effect in my photography. Ref: 90D5228

Insel Juist - reetgedecktes Haus

island Juist, thatched house;

would like to live there

Yeah yeah yeah, not that great picture I know.

I just wanted to do something that was not moving-in-to-the-house-related, and I have missed my dolls.

We have lived in our new farm for 5 weeks already. While wrighting this, I'm home alone for the first time, and it feels both wierd and great. What the hell happened? how can I have a house, am I enough of an adult to handle this? xD

I don't know, but here you go, some Olaf in the last sun beams of the first spring weather. Still have alot of snow, but I'm positive! (and a lot to unpack lalala *ignores*)

And I have an doll room now! When it's not messy and awful I can show it, but right now I don't really enjoy being in there. (previous owners painted the entire room dark gray XC horrible!)

I hope I can be a bit active atleast now then the light comes back to Scandinavia.

See ya! : D
