Over 4 years ago and I am still discovering overlooked images from my bicycle-powered trip across the United States. This image was shot from 8,751 feet up on the highest peak in Texas.
Thanks for looking.

Color is very much about atmosphere and emotion and the feel of a place.
A good color image is a good B&W image.

Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm f2, red T preset. It is not the one with highest esteem or value, but if you want to have only one Biotar, this one is recommanded. In terms of sharpness and contrast it is as good as any other version of biotar. With its 12 blades in iris it could be used closed a little bit for additional sharpness on subject and still produce quite smooth bokeh with round balls.
It is cheaper than earlier version.
I could understand why it was loved more than semi automatic one in times of film cameras. Semi automatic one has that clunky and not really practical semi-automatic release of iris, but with digital cameras that is less of the issue as it is usually not used at all.
With bit bluish and muted colors on cloudy day, it preserves well sombre atmoshere of late November

I was filming on Mount Kinabalu, Borneo, with @richardkirbyphotography... This granitic peak is the highest point between the Himalayas and Papua New Guinea, and to many local people it is known as the revered abode of the dead - where their ancestors spirits reside. We spent two weeks climbing up and down its thick forested slopes and traversing its rocky summits, shooting extraordinary wildlife and capturing timelapses of its misty peaks. #BBCEarth #EarthOnLocation #Borneo #Mountain #Summit #Sunrise #Granite #Timelapse #Filming #Peak #Summit #Camera #Cameraman

What a long day!
Up at 6am to drive to Redwood for an interview. Then home to paint the bedroom, and have a long lunch with Deanna and the dog. A quick 5 hour drive put me in Yosemite National Park at Clacier Point in time for Sunset (it just got dark).
Several hours of wandering arround popping my flash got me this photo. Then I rushed home in time to have a beer in the hottub and watch the sun rise majestically (proving it was just not trying when it went to bed the night before).
This is a 48 minute, 10mm exposure at f4 with the ISO set at a massive 3200.
Almost no photoshop processing...

Not the most exotic car but god I love NSX's, and this has to be one of the best ones I've seen! Obviously not the craziest car but I liked how the shot came out so I thought it was worth throwing up. Thoughts?

Test photographing a very beautiful painting in a very low light condition.
The above photo was taken from the oil painting of "Our Lady of the Southern Cross" by Paul Newton in the St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney, Australia. The light condition is very dark. The shot was taken using ISO 5,000, 1/15 sec, hand held.
St Mary’s Cathedral is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Sydney, currently Cardinal Archbishop George Pell. The cathedral is dedicated to “Mary, Help of Christians”, Patron of Australia. St Mary’s holds the title and dignity of a minor basilica, bestowed upon it by Pope Pius XI in 1930. It is the largest church in Australia, though not the highest.

The Grossglockner is, at 3,798 m above sea level, Austria's highest mountain and the highest mountain in the Alps east of the Brenner Pass. This makes it, after Mont Blanc, the second most prominent mountain in the Alps. The Pasterze, at 9 kilometers in length, is the longest glacier in Austria. It lies within the Hohe Tauern mountain range in Carinthia, directly beneath the Grossglockner. Its volume diminished by half since the first measurements in 1856. The Pasterze can be reached via the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. This road is the most beautiful panoramic road in Austria, in the state of Salzburg. It connects the state of Salzburg with the state of Carinthia. It leads with numbered hairpin curves to the Kaiser Franz Josefs Höhe visitors centre. The Grossglockner and Pasterze Glacier have been owned by the Austrian Alpine Association since 1918. The Grossglockner is a playground for trained ice climbers. Some of the most difficult routes are at the north face. In 1951, Oskar Kühlken, author of the "Glockner Book“ described the myth behind the mountain as follows: "The Grossglockner is more than just the highest mountain in Austria. It is enveloped in the aura of an extraordinary personality, cast on all who fall under its spell.“
Photo of the Grossglockner in Austria - 3798 m. An airplane is just passing by. From the Kaiser Franz Josefs Höhe it's 1429 m up. At the foot of the Grossglockner mountain flows the Pasterze Glacier. With its 9 km length the Pasterze is the longest glacier in the eastern alps. To this very impressive place leads the famous mountain road Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse, one of the biggest tourist attractions of Austria. It is an impressive natural experience for many people: size and power can be felt here, one is subject to the fascination of the eternal ice and the elemental force of nature. Open from May - October.

The highest-above-the-sea point in all Barcelona is the church in the Tibidabo, at 518 m. above sea level. It's top is in fact this highest point, being a statue of Christ very similar to the giant one in Rio de Janeiro. This is "our" Corcovado. Sort of, he he.
