I shot this last November in Destin, FL as the sun set over the ocean. I stumbled across it in my archives as I was searching for something to post.

Cloudy but dry start to the last month of 2021 in Vancouver

I captured this image of this majestic mountain which lies in Washington State, USA right from my home, 100+km away, in Vancouver, Canada,

Mount Baker[...] is one of the snowiest places in the world; in 1999, Mount Baker Ski Area [...] set the world record for recorded snowfall in a single season—1,140 in (2,900 cm).

At 10,781 ft (3,286 m), it is the third-highest mountain in Washington State[...]. It is visible from much of Greater Victoria, Nanaimo, British Columbia, Greater Vancouver, and, to the south, from Seattle (and on clear days Tacoma) in Washington.

The busiest period for me at work this week... real stress :'( so hopefully i can find the time to continue posting for the next few days. If there is no sign of me, don't worry too much.. i'm just dead from work! :P Anyway for those who have been my contacts since the day i started hdr, you will find this very familiar cos this shot was posted 9 mths ago when i first started hdr & it was the 2nd hdr which i've done. I've always loved this shot but technically it was not greatly processed back then. I've re-processed this & gave it a bit more punch & vibrancy. That's partly to help me with this monday blues too! :P Can't help it..colourful shot brings me joy! :))) Have a great start to the week!

Rila is the highest mountain range of Bulgaria, the Balkan Peninsula and Southeast Europe. It is situated in southwestern Bulgaria and forms part of the Rila–Rhodope Massif. The highest summit is Musala at an altitude of 2,925 m which makes Rila the sixth highest mountain range in Europe after the Caucasus, the Alps, Sierra Nevada, the Pyrenees and Mount Etna, and the highest one between the Alps and the Caucasus. It spans a territory of 2,629 km2 with an average altitude of 1487 m. The mountain is believed to have been named after the river of the same name, which comes from the Old Bulgarian verb "рыти" meaning "to grub".

The mountain range has varied flora and fauna with a number of endemic and relict species and some of the best preserved forests in the country.

This dome is 96 metres tall measured on the outside, which is the same height as the dome on the parliament buildings (photo yet to come) to symbolize the balance between church and state. No other building can be taller than this in Budapest.

I took this photo last year on the Tallulah River above Lake Burton (near Tate City, Ga).

Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps and the highest in Europe after the Caucasus peaks. It rises 4,808 m (15,774 ft) above sea level and is ranked 11th in the world in topographic prominence. Between the regions of Aosta Valley, Italy, and Savoie and Haute-Savoie, France. The location of the summit is on the watershed line between the valleys of Ferret and Veny in Italy and the valleys of Montjoie, and Arve in France. The Mont Blanc massif is popular for mountaineering, hiking, skiing, and snowboarding.

The three towns and their communes which surround Mont Blanc are Courmayeur in Aosta Valley, Italy, and Saint-Gervais-les-Bains and Chamonix in Haute-Savoie, France. The latter town was the site of the first Winter Olympics. A cable car ascends and crosses the mountain range from Courmayeur to Chamonix, through the Col du Géant. Constructed beginning in 1957 and completed in 1965, the 11.6 km (7¼ mi) Mont Blanc Tunnel runs beneath the mountain between these two countries and is one of the major trans-Alpine transport routes.

The Red-winged Blackbirds always seem to seek the highest spot on the tree to conduct their calls from, even if it's only a marginal difference.

With some of the tallest line side poles I've ever seen along the D&RGW, Rio Grande's Railblazer, train No. 103, blasts its Nathan P3 airhorn for eight consecutive grade crossings through the small town Lehi, Utah at 8:16 a.m. on July 29, 1989. Overheard between the train toots were the sound of horses and chickens excited for the arrival of the zippy little sprint train.

Well, looks like the snow could be back here in London again tomorrow, just in time for the weekend...Yahhh..:O))))

At least Saturday will be clear with some sun, so if the snow is still around, should we get some..then I will be able to get better shots then this one, as it was a dull grey day...with snow and Blizzards as you can see, so it would be great to have better lighting..:O)))

Anyhoo...as I keep saying, stay warm if you are somewhere cold...and have a great rest of the week...:O)))

It's rare to find Scafell Pike, Scafell and Helvellyn (England's three highest mountains) in the same picture, but .....

There I was, somewhere on the ridge between Causey Pike and Scar Crags, taking some twilight views, when it seemed like a good idea to blend some of them together in camera, so that's what I did.

Scafell Pike and Scafell (separated by Great Gable) are just right of centre in the back row, while Helvellyn is slightly to the left of centre two rows in front. In reality, the Scafells lie about 8 miles south and Helvellyn about 7.5 miles east south east from where I stood...

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).

Probably the most quoted verse in all the Bible, but how many will heed His call? How many will turn from their sin, and trust Jesus Christ to save them? This is the most important decision you could ever make. Won't you do it today? If you should have any questions, please feel free to text me on my Flickrmail today. I would be more than happy to help you.

"Go sound the horn; strike up the choir; a sinner is saved--saved from the fire; no more in darkness--He's received my Son; all Heaven's rejoicing!; that's the value of one!"

Etna is currently the highest and the largest volcanic cone in Europe (145 km circuit at the foot). Height of 3340 m above sea level (as a result of explosions is subject to change).

It is composed mainly of basalt. From crater at the top bring out the steam and gases, during an eruption - ash and volcanic bombs. The lower slopes are densely populated. Cultivated fields, orchards and vineyards date back to about 800-900 m above sea level The upper limit of the forest at an altitude of 2200 m above sea level. In the upper floor for most of the year with snow. Since the 80 th century there was many explosion, which the strongest was in 1669. It was then destroyed Catania. Last eruption took place March 4, 2012 year.

Etna to obecnie najwyższy i największy w Europie stożek wulkaniczny (145 km obwodu u podnóża).
