Ten things about 10 stopper
4) How to use a 10 stop ND filter :
Being an extremely dark glass the method of using it is slightly different from other lower density ND filters.
Screw-In Type
1) Tripod is a must.Set your tripod at desired position and height.Place the Camera and compose the shot with auto focus.
2)Then switch to manual focus either from the camera body or via lens in order to prevent the Camera from struggling to auto focus once the dark glass is on.
3)Screw-in the 10 stop filter, check the meter reading and add exposure compensation-take some test shots to see what you like.
Workaround for step 2) and 3) in next post
4)If your Camera has a Mirror Lock-up feature and an Eye piece curtain,do make use of them to avoid tripod shake and creeping of stray light from the viewfinder while long exposure respectively. (More details in coming pictures)
Slide In Type
Step 1), 2) and 4) remains the same
3) Screw in the adaptor ring or you can have the adaptor ring screwed in advance before composing the shot, then slide the dark glass from above in the filter slot.

Have a nice day!
Not a real story behind it. First time seen it parked. Known car. Known location. Just all the same as before.
Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss.
Try it on black.
I managed to grab just one hour to go and get a few woodland shots near me, before it all vanishes. There was a light rain falling and a sort of half mist floating about. The light was gorgeous at that point, and it wasn't far after midday. I thought a low contrast rendition would be suitable for this one, as it brings out the subtle textures and colours more effectively I think. The whole atmosphere was a soft and eerie one. On reflection I am not sure that including the road in the fg helped, and I might end up making a square crop just under that branch that sticks out to get rid of it. Not that it overly bothers me, I quite like it as a reminder that they are a fact of life.
These woods are in an area of ancient woodland, and I was fortunate enough to hear a talk a couple of years back by the countries leading woodland expert about them. Although mainly oak, there are also plenty of beech, but the oaks are much smaller trees than further up country, mainly due to the salty sea breeze and strong winds. Trees on Northern slopes are noticeably taller. Anyway, I love this area, and just for the record, the road in this shot was cut into the hill for access to a large estate nearby, and all the locals used to have to walk miles around the woods to get to the villages at the top of the hill.
This was shot on my relatively new contax 50mm prime lens, and the detail at 100 or even 200% is incredible. (Original size - www.flickr.com/photos/24562498@N03/6334957361/sizes/o/in/...) I highly recommend them for this kind of work. Less handy for taking pictures of children running about when you are focusing manually! Still a bargain for £160 plus £20 for the adaptor.

Old reports at the story of Friedrichsanfang. Very interesting!
I feel like going into hibernation. This is my studio where I hang out almost every day, and even today it's not putting a smile on my face... :(
I have had some horrible dolly experiences this entire week....MANY... - so today a new girl arrived, and the stupid Greece Seller did not protect her with anything, so Styrofoam peanuts melted in her gorgeous hairs and all over her body....unbelievable. It gets worse...but I think I may have to go into hibernation..... Is it a full moon?
The big spider which has been hibernating behind my shed came out tonight to maybe lay her eggs on our rotary washing line lol.
Which is strange as i believed Garden like most Orb spiders only live one season, Dying in winter after leaving egg sacs, Which this Specimen hasn't done.
using our outside light as backlighting i struggled to focus :)
Have'nt put any photos up for a while.
Trying some new makeup styles lately, very minimalist. Limited concealer to just the chin and top lip and small amount of foundation mixed with moisturiser as cover plus lippy and masscara.
Also got hold of one those Ah / Genie bras they are as comfortable as they advertise.
Just enlarged the opening at the bottom on both sides of it and sewed in a bit of velcro and put my forms in that way, stops them dropping or moving.
Looks smooth and feels very realist
This tractor was a car stopper when I sighted it. Those colors surrounded by all of that muted snowfall. Lewis County, Missouri.
Finally, spring has arrived (in my garden). Time to wakeup from hibernation.
A color version can be viewed as well.
Sun and fog over Cappadocia, some winters ago (old scan, photo from a slide, ca 2004)...
(Not much energy these days and only a travel laptop in use...
... hopefully in some weeks will be able to discover another troglodyte place in a warmer climate...)
I don´t need badges, banners or awards. Choose your own words instead. Whether you like it or not: Please tell me why! Thanks!
Winter is knocking on the door. Miss Cheeky has taken to hibernating after breakfast every morning for the past week. The wet weather sure does not help. 🐶
Stefano the 1954 Lancia Appia 1st series has been fully serviced and is ready to enjoy the Spring and Summer.
In 70mph winds. Not even storm Doris can wake this hibernating spider though i did with my laser torch and flash lol
